Perfect location for walking to key sites in the City of London, Tower of London and Southbank. Next to the Thames Path so lovely walks along the river in the day and at night. Easy to catch public transport. Lots of good places to eat nearby. Hotel hidden off main streets - nice and quiet. Rooms a super size for a family with hot showers and quick to run baths. We will be back!

Hotel in great location off main road, really quiet - views not brilliant but not a big issue. Breakfast and Dinner well organised and plentiful, food delicious - kids eat free with full paying adults so fabulous value for money. Tube 5 minute walk away. Can't fault our stay - only downside was having to leave

A most relaxing and comfortable stay at this hotel. It is very clean and tidy and appears far superior to the 3 stars it is given. The room was nicely decorated, spotlessly clean and whilst not huge it was perfectly OK for our needs. We felt very comfortable and "at home" in the room. The bed and pillows are superb. The bathroom was spotless and how unusual these days for it to have an actual bath. The one fault for the bedroom was that it did not have a personal safe which is something much needed these days and almost expected in all decent hotels. Also, instead of simply saying it's only a 3 minute walk from Monument station why do they not help a little more and explain that from the actual monument one walks downhill and then name the streets that you pass and mention that you take the first left after the Rajasthan Indian restaurant. It would have made life so much simpler as we walked through the pouring rain trying to find the hotel after Monument Station had been closed due to a fire and we approached from a different direction! TOP RESTUARANT TIP: I must give the Rajasthan Indian restaurant a 10/10 for its superb quality of food, the presentation and its brilliant and attentive waiters. The best restaurant we found during our stay. Its only problem is that it is closed on Saturday and Sundays! Well done Premier Inn, we will definitely use you again if all your hotels are as good as this one.

Booked a standard room for 2 for 2 nights and was given an accessible room (which non of us were disabled) Beds were low down to the floor and uncomfortable. 2 single beds and mattresses put together which made sleep at night impossible. When asked if I could change rooms from this mix up I was told no rooms were available and they were fully booked up. When I checked their website there were a few standard rooms available. I showed this to reception but was refused to move rooms. (I didn’t want money back I just wanted to have a standard room being that I paid £215) The rooms walls were dirty and damaged, the carpet was filthy to the point our white socks turned black. The TV was so high up on the wall, god knows how a disabled person could reach it to turn it on as our remote was not working, god forbid someone who was disabled stayed here. We also had to share 1 towel for the 2 nights we stayed which is poor. Reception staff were hardly at their desk. The room didn’t even have an iron to iron our clothes which were creased from our long journey here. To top it off no maids or cleaners came in to swap the towels or bed sheets over. The only good things I can point out was that they stored our luggage somewhere as we had plans booked after our checkout time. The other good thing was checking out of what has been the worst premier inn hotel I’ve stayed in. Being in London and the hefty price you pay you’d expect some good service. What was meant to be a romantic weekend away to celebrate me and my wife’s wedding anniversary turned into a nightmare. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone nor come back here…

Having stayed at this hotel three times previously, this was the first time we witnessed the restaurant running as it should be run.
Staff knew what they were doing, food was readily available and when empty were quick to refill, tables were cleared in a timely fashion. Used to come here and it was pure organised chaos, well done for taking points on board and trying to improve the running of the restaurant, I saw a massive difference and was impressed. Well done. Hotel was excellent as always no reason to complain.

This was my 3rd stay in this hotel this year. It's clean, comfy, great value for money and in a brilliant location. You can leave your luggage on arrival and departure day and collect it when needed. Checking in online also saves a lot of time. The closest tube is Monument which is literally around the corner - unfortunately we were there on the day of the terrorist incident so the tube was closed for most of our stay. It was just as easy to use Tower Hill though. We didn't eat in the restaurant as we preferred to eat out but if needed we would do so. All staff members were polite, friendly and helpful.

Hubby, me and our 2 children have just got home from our 2 night break in London. We’ve used premier inn numerous times and like the great value, location and family rooms premier inn usually provide.

I feel like I should start with the positives

Location - literally a few minutes walk from monument underground (this was closed one day tho) you are also near canon st station though so was ok and also an easy walk to Tower of London , the bridge etc.

Staff in restaurant helpful and friendly one guy working on Saturday night was really friendly and nice and chatted to our son -didn’t get his name unfortunately

Luggage store so on arrival day you can check your bags in and go off exploring

Negatives

The main negative that I just cannot excuse is the filthy bed that on departure day we realised our son had been sleeping in. I lifted the duvet covers up to check my son had picked up his pyjamas and to my horror revealed some form of bodily fluid in his bed sheets it was on the topside of his matteress sheet so housekeeping would have obviously seen it when making up his bed for our arrival !!!! We complained on check out and showed a photo of the bed and was offered a refund of breakfasts or an email address to contact guest services (which we now have sent but will need to wait to to 20 days to get a reply) this is so disappointing and such a bad end to our visit. It’s really upset my son too and affected his experience of the holiday. I wish the issue could have been resolved whilst we were still there at the hotel rather than have to contact guest services.

Also the second night we asked for additional pillows as there was only enough for two of us to have two pillows and we all sleep with 2 so we needed two more pillows to be told the hotel had run out of pillows!!! so we had another bad nights sleep.

I don’t expect perfection with a premier inn... but I do expect a clean bed and pillows to sleep on. I can handle tired and run down rooms that could do with being a bit cleaner and a Fresh lick of paint but to realise that my son had been sleeping in that bed has really ruined our city break experience.

Also the night we had dinner at the hotel my son needed the toilet so my hubby went to take him but came back saying they were terrible mess everywhere etc so I said don’t worry I will take him well the ladies was just as bad one toilet had toilet roll full in the toilet bowl one was locked and the other had mess everywhere in it, again this comes down to cleanliness and so I took him to the room to use the toilet there. It did put me off my meal if that’s what the toilets are like what is the kitchen like??

Hate leaving bad reviews but I am just shocked and gutted that these things impacted our Trip and we won’t get these memories back 😔

I am sure if you do some research there will be other premier inns in London that would be a better one to stay in. Would not recommend unfortunately

Response from Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants, Other at Premier Inn London Bank (Tower) hotel
Responded 12 May 2022
Hi, Thank you for your review. We’re very sorry that you were left disappointed by the cleanliness standards in your room on arrival. This certainly isn't the experience we would expect for you. We're sorry to also hear that there were no spare pillows. The safety and wellbeing of our guests and teams has always been incredibly important to us and everyone in our hotels should rightly expect a safe, clean and protected environment. The Coronavirus crisis has brought this into sharp focus, which is why we have launched a new rigorous, daily cleaning regime across all our hotels. We apologise you found your room to not be up to the high standard we would expect. We have ensured this feedback has been logged to the Hotel Management team so that they can look into these issues with our Housekeeping teams to prevent this experience from being repeated again in the future. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we hope we can welcome you for a more enjoyable stay in the future. Kind regards, Megan

Great location for us, 2 mins walk from the Thames walk where you can see Tower Bridge and walk along the Thames walk. We had a corner family room which overlooked an old ruin, so lovely views and larger size than normal Premier Inn rooms. One of the single beds was very hard. Room hadn't been cleaned properly, e.g still old rubbish under the beds - Pringle tops etc. There was a smell in the room, and very cheap and thin bin liners so when lifting out the rubbish, it went everywhere! However, these to us were only small problems. We did not give staff a chance to rectify as we we did not stay in the rooms for too long and we didn't plan on sleeping underneath the beds! All staff were friendly and helpful and I am sure they would have sorted out any of our minor problems, we just didn't have the time or energy to talk to them about it! I would return as Tesco Express around the corner, lovely walks, bus route and underground virtually on the doorstep.

I was told at check in that due to staff shortages there would be no room replenishment (cleaning) unless we requested it so we did for the 4 nights we were staying. Unfortunately it wasn’t done. Have Premier Inn just lost the plot when it comes to hotel room servicing, room cleaning, bed making,
towel changing and replenishment of tea and coffee, toilet paper etc etc. if I was told at the booking stage that this was the new Premier Inn standard and that breakfast would be like a scrum, do you think I or anyone else would make a booking. These are the standards that anyone booking a hotel room expect, It’s not as though the poor service standards were reflected in the price of rooms as they were not, shame on Premier Inn for expecting its guests to accept this.

I have one positive comment to make about my stay and that was that staff in all areas of the Bank Tower Hotel were excellent and extremely helpful. It’s a shame that my 4 day stay has been tainted by this poor quality, I have always been a big fan of Premier Inns and stay regularly when I visit England and particularly London.

We have stayed at this Premier Inn many times. Great location, minutes walk away from the tube, The Tower, HMS Belfast and more. Plus considering the location is very quiet.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Hotel rooms very clean, tea/coffee facilities, very comfortable beds, good shower and nice bath large towels.
Breakfast is an additional cost but well worth it, buffet style traditional/continental.
Able to store luggage if early arrival as checkin is now 4pm, also available on departure date, find this really useful if late afternoon train.
There are many hand sanitizing stands situated around the hotel which is very reassuring at present.

Dont recall there being car park near by but we came on the train and then tube. There is tube station nearby if maybe you could leave your cars elsewhere and get tube.

There are extra pillows that you can use. If for any reason your room doesn't have them just ask at reception.
