Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

"love the hostel and the vibe. It is very social and would def go back here again. Special thanks to Marit, she was very friendly and welcoming"
I recommend it to everyone. It is a clean hostel with friendly staff and value for money. You can easily make contact with other guests and there is a homely atmosphere

The hostel is really only a few steps a way from hendon central, from where you can reach the city centre in no time. Everything you need is provided, amazing for the price you're paying. I do think breakfast is a bit on the expensive side, but keeping in mind that the hostel itself is quite cheap and the kitchen provides plenty of space to store your own food, it's also an understandable price.
Do keep in mind that the kitchen is locked early in the morning, so you can plan around that.
Beds are comfortable, there is a small shelf above your bed and a storage box under your bed, in which my baggage fitted easily. If you require more space however, you can also rend a locker in the hallway.
There are enough toilets and three showers available in the women's bathroom. I never had to wait. An improvement for the shower could be letting the water run more than 8 seconds. When you keep pushing the button however, the water will keep running.
I would also prefer a bit more space inside the showers to store your stuff, maybe moving the shower curtain a bit backwards and placing a small shelf so you can lay some of your stuff down. Inside the shower there is place to store your shampoo etc and there's one shower hook on the door. Outside of the showers are also hooks available.
When checking in you get a card which allows you 24/7 entry to the hostel, this gives you much freedom during your stay.
During check out I had a really kind staff member, George, helping me. Everything was done quickly and he even could speak Dutch with me (I'm from the Netherlands), although he is not from there. That's really some extra effort, and a nice closure to my stay. Definitely recommend booking this hostel when going to London. I will come back here at my next stay.

Actually, its a weekly stroll to Hendon Park, close by. A minute from London Packpackers! For those alighting from the Hendon Central Tube station its about 3 mins. flat. Quiet spacious and a renovated area for kids. Shaded areas when the sun beams down. There is a picture which brings back memories! Have a look as see if you remember who! Brent Cross shopping Centre is not far away either. 8 mins walk, flat.

I have stayed in many a budget accommodation in London in my time and this place is by far the best.

I paid £50 for a two night stay in a private room with a comfortable double bed, a television, a storage area and even a television, with free wifi to top it off you really cannot go wrong! The bed was clean and comfortable and I felt perfectly safe laying my head to rest here.

The toilets and washing facilities are perfectly clean and even in a pandemic I felt completely safe using them.

I will be staying here whenever I come to London, thank you for a lovely stay!!

This hostel is really good for the price they are offering! Nelly, the manager, is a lovely Canadian girl who seems to love what she's doing and the actual hostel. The facilities are really good like the bathroom and kitchen, though kitchen closes at 11pm. They have a basement with pooltable which is free of charge.🙂

This hostel was amazing very clean nicely decorated great facilities great location ( minutes from Hendon Central) basic but good breakfast included clean toilet /shower facilities ( not unisex like other hostels) stayed in twin room which was a good size with 2 windows so nice to have a view and fresh air free breakfast basic but ample key code for door which made access a lot easier not having to remember swipe card when you went to loo etc quiet hardly any noise heard from fellow travellers really good price but most importantly the staff and fellow travellers were very friendly a lovely community feeling would definitely stay again and recommend to others.. Thanks muchly London Backpackers for a great 5 night stay.. Best wishes Andrea and Oliver

Always a great experience when I visit. The whole staff is professional but also warm and friendly. The dorms and bathrooms are always kept clean and so is the kitchen for all those who prefer cooking. It is quiet and cosy, and situated right by the underground. Well recommended for anyone looking for a descent place to crash at a price too good to imagine.

This place was horrible. The entire place was dirty, our room smelled like a locker room, bathrooms/showers were disgusting. We booked a 3 night stay and only stayed 2 and bought other accommodation for the 3rd night it was so bad. Highly recommend staying away from this place.

This was one of the better hostels I have stayed at! For a female solo traveler, I had no problem finding friends, and the staff was so friendly and helpful. The bathrooms were kept clean as was the cooking area. The hostel is direct across the street from the tube station, there was a Tesco about a 5-minute walk down the road and there were plenty of food options. I never try and stay in the same place twice but I would stay here again!

Hi, The lockers are free and you just need a padlock, which you can also get at reception. If you need external ones, for more storage, its £1 per day of rent, plus £5 deposit for the key.

Hi, There are parking places in the neighborhood, but unfortunately these are all paid. You can also use the metro and bus stations around the corner of the hostel to get around!
