I was very pleasantly surprised by the Crestfield Hotel - with the budget price I wasn't expecting much, but it was actually really nice. Reception staff were very welcoming, the room was spotlessly clean and although very small it was well appointed - and very good free wifi signal as well. Great location for King's cross station, which was handy for me. It is a continental breakfast, but a very good one - good quality coffee, fresh bread and tasty cold cuts. (Come to think of it, I'd prefer a very good continental breakfast over budget bacon and bangers any day of the week.)

This hotel was wonderful for its location, very close to St. Pancras. We had our 10 and 8 year old boys, and we were all able to walk from the train station to our hotel, with our suitcases, and did not feel overwhelmed by it. If it had been raining, it might not have been so convenient, but it was ok weather. The staff is extremely friendly, and even were able to check us in a little earlier which was so super helpful after an all-night flight. The breakfast is plentiful, even choices for our pickiest eater. Again, staff so friendly, helpful at breakfast. If you have challenges walking, keep this in mind. There is no elevator, and we carried all of our luggage up several flights of narrow stairs. Not ideal, but not that big of a deal either. We knew this before showing up, just saying it again for those this might make a difference. The bathroom is very very small, you have enough room to turn around and that's about it. The room was well set up for the 4 of us, each child had their own little bed which was very nice. Extremely quiet while we were there. I would happily stay here again as a place that is easy to get to from the train.

Great location and good value. The rooms are very compact and you have to manoeuvre around the bed, the bathroom is about the side of a pantry but the fixtures are updated. Lots of stairs to get to the rooms and to get to the breakfast room. The breakfast area is nicely laid out and the young women working that area are very efficient. This is definitely not a place for overly large people.

we stayed at this hotel for 2 nights for sightseeing, and it was a fantastic stay. It is situated pretty much opposite kings cross station which was so handy for getting around. The reception staff were friendly and efficient, it felt very safe as you had to pass reception to get to your room and leave your room key everytime you went out. The room was great and was cleaned everyday, it was really big for london, had tea making facilities and the most comfortable bed we had slept in, the shower was very powerful. It also had a hairdryer and a window which overlooked the courtyard. The courtyard was lovely with tables to sit out. Overall a brilliant stay and wont hesitate to book again.

What a little gem of a hotel situated in the beating heart of the big three railway hubs of London, so the transport location is second to none, handy for a bus or tube linking the traveller with all the London tourist hot spots in minutes. Then onto the hotel it's self which is super clean, warm, quiet and the facilities are up and above standard, the hotel is peopled by a staff who are very friendly and go out of their way to be helpful.
I am mightily impressed with the Crestfield I would definitely stay here again and I can wholeheartedly recommend a stay here.

Location : 4/5
Very good location for travellers using Eurostar for their next step because just few minutes walking distance.
Connectivity: 4/5
Well connected with London Tube and buses via Kings Cross Station and bus stop.
Room : 3/5
Generally considered good even though it is quite small size for a family. The bath room shower is the best for us as it is like newly installed with powerful water supply.
However, it is noisy when anyone walking on upper level.

Location

If location is your main aim then this place is for you. A few minutes walk to underground, buses and rail service. Close to food outlets.

Accessibility and comfort

If comfort and accessibility is what your after, avoid. I had sent this hotel a message 24 hours before check in to ask about a ground level room. My husband has ME and walks with a stick. This was not seen until we checked in and as such we were placed in the basement rooms down 1 flight of stairs which the receptionist tried to accommodate.
However the stairs are narrow and not accessible friendly.

The room was small. So so small. Not accessible friendly at all. 2 people can not pass each other in the room.
The shower room is the smallest I’ve ever seen. You have to position yourself on the toilet to avoid hitting the sink. The shower cubicle is also small. Not ideal at all. When the shower room door is open it touches the bed. I’ve stayed in Japanese Pod hotels which has more room. Noisy fan in shower room took 30 mins on average to shut off and activated itself without steam- not fun at 2am!

Overall

Overall a bit of a dated room, with old style hairdryer and fan, no AC. Being in the basement meant the noisiest nights ever. Paper thin walls and rumbling of tubes constant. Room was cleaned daily, and topped up with milk and tea, water.
No breakfast served at all.
No key card system only keys on boards that has to be left upon every exit of hotel.

I wouldn’t visit again.

Incredible little place - very clean,m friendly, comfy beds, shower and toilets etc also very clean. Literally over the road from London St Pancas international trains (Eurostar etc) Stunning little property and only £74 (London!!!) including breakfast (continental) for me and my wife the night before early w/end trip to Bruges. We will absolutely use this again and have no hesitation in recommending to friends and family - even the most discerning. A little gem!

We booked this hotel for the proximity to St Pancras station and it was ideal.
We were greeted warmly at reception and given the key to our room on the lower ground floor. To access our room you needed to go across a terrace and into another building and down some very narrow stairs, which could be tricky if you had large luggage or were not able-bodied.
Our room was small, just big enough for a double bed and a small clothes hanging area, and smelt like a house with cats.
It was clean enough and there was a kettle for tea and coffee, and some nice biscuits, but the milk wasn't great.
Anyway for a one night stay it was fine, we were out all evening anyway and away at 6 the following morning to catch the Eurostar. The reception is 24 hours so that's good.
The shower room ceiling was very low but the water was hot and plentiful. The towels were tiny and there wasn't a mat for getting out of the shower onto, so I suspect after a while the water is going to ruin the floor.
The hotel is very close to major train stations so you can hear the rumbling of the tubes and the usual city sounds, so I recommend some earplugs. The bed was comfy, though.
All in all this hotel is fine for a one-night stay, two at a push and served our purpose and at a reasonable price for London.

Nice , little hotel across the road from Kings cross and 20 mins walk from Euston. Polite and friendly staff. The room we got was down a steep sets of stairs and tucked away. The room itself was clean and tidy though the window looked out onto the brick yard. Really nice bathroom with loads of toilet paper ! It very small and you will need to get dried out of the bathroom. We got clean towels everyday but had to ask for large towels as we kept getting tiny ones. Fresh water bottles topped up each morning. Bed was comfy and apart from the first night we slept ok. The room was in a group of three and we had complain the first morning about the neighbours as they were slamming doors and shouting at each other through the walls. Apart from that we would book here again.
