We stayed at the hotel for 8 days.
Our experience in general was fine, and it served us fairly during our stay.

Pros:
1. The hotel is located a couple of minutes walking from the central train and underground station of Paddington. This makes the transportation from the hotel super comfortable for traveling to each place in London, to arrive from Heathrow airport (via the Elizabeth line) and even to travel to places outside of London (such as Windsor).

2. The hotel is located in a very good place in Paddington as well, and is not very far from many restaurants, bars, supermarkets (such as M&S), and from other touristic sites such as: Hyde park, Baker street, Madame Tussauds, Regent's park etc.

3. The reception (and especially the manager, Andrea) is very kind and offers a useful and immediate service for every issue. Not all the rooms in the hotel contain mini fridge, but with a personal request - we got a room that contained one.

4. The hotel works with different touristic companies, and offers discounts for some touristic sites and theatre shows, making it very comfortable to use the reception for ticket ordering.

5. The hotel offers tea, coffee and biscuits 24/7, and we were also given a voucher for 2 drinks in the next-door bar.

6. The electric sockets in the rooms are international, so no need for any adapters :)
Also, the visual design of the hotel is nice, and the facilities in the rooms are good.

Cons:
1. I think the main disadvantage of the hotel is its crowded rooms. We took a twin Styloroom (a room for 2 people with separate beds), and we got a room with an area of about 10 m^2. Although we managed to get along, it felt very uncomfortable, and we didn't have a lot of space to put on our stuff. Also the illumination of the rooms is rather dim.
The reception didn't really have a better alternative for us, since this is the basic design of the rooms. Also, I can't really tell how frequent this phenomenon is in other hotels in Paddington. Although the general experience was okay, be aware before of this issue before booking, if you need more space in your room.

2. We had some days where the cleaning staff didn't replace our towels or the shower gels. Although the reception gave us new towels and gels straight away, it's quite annoying to ask for this specially.

3. The breakfast in the hotel is okay in general, but it is rather routine and doesn't change at all from one day to another. It might be nicer to allow more variety and options.

In summary, if the size of the rooms is not a big issue for you - this hotel can be a very good option for staying in London, especially in matters of good service and location.

We travelled as a family to London for 5 nights, and stayed at the Stylotel for the first time. After reading all of the positive reviews, we were pleasantly surprised to find our "home away from home".

The hotel is conveniently located within walking distance of Paddington Station, and of many restaurants and shops. The Paramount Lebanese Kitchen up the street is delicious and a must-try imo. It is also within walking distance to Kensington Gardens/Hyde Park and the Italian Gardens.

It is true that the hotel is small and rooms are compact, it is a matter of managing your expectations. The bathrooms are very small, but fully functional for your basic needs. The rooms were spotlessly cleaned and the beds were very comfortable. Exactly what was needed after walking London the entire day. With the prices for accommodation in London (especially upon exchange to your home currency), this hotel provides a great experience for a reasonable price (for London).

The included breakfast was fantastic, as were the ladies in the kitchen, who will make your eggs however you like them. Full hot English breakfast, along with some continental options, like croissants, yogurt and fruit. Tables are always cleared and cleaned.

Front desk staff always greeted with a smile and were on hand to answer any questions or make suggestions for trips and excursions. The lobby has a clean and comfortable seating area with complimentary coffee and tea (as well as free supplies to take to your room) and a small fridge with drinks and snacks to purchase at regular non-hotel rates.

If returning to London, I would consider staying here again.

We stay at Stylotel on our family travels to or through London so it has become kind of our "home away from home" in London. Our last stay was just last week and our first stay was back in 2018. I remember first choosing it mainly due to the convenient location -only a 5’ walk to Paddington Station, many restaurants and shops in the area, Kensington Gardens/ Hyde Park also in walking distance. But the main reason we have been returning to Stylotel ever since is the exceptional service and value for money. Front desk staff is extremely efficient, pleasant and helpful with any kind of query from trips and excursions and getting the best ticket prices on attractions, to arranging transport or suggesting places to visit. Especially Andreas, the manager, as he will go above and beyond to make each stay better than the last one. The lobby has a seating area with complimentary coffee and tea and free supplies to take to your room and a small fridge with drinks and snacks to buy. Nice, clean, comfortable lobby. Also, luggage can be stored when arriving very early or checking out very late in the day so you don’t miss a minute from getting out and enjoying London. The included breackfast is very good, english breackfast with extras like croissants, yogurts and fruit. Just the right start for your day. Stylotel has many types of rooms, some are compact, some more spacious, but all of them functional, clean, loaded with plugs to charge devices and the beds are very comfortable. For our last stay we requested a Stylosuite for 4 and it was just amazing. My kids had a blast! We are always out and about all day when in London so Stylotel provides exactly what we need. Especially since prices for family accommodation in London are way to high when you basically get there just to shower, sleep, have breackfast and get going. It is about what kind of trip you are on. What is the point of paying for extra luxuries when you are not there to enjoy them all day. Stylotel provides my family with a wonderful experience for a very reasonable price each and every time. Just love it!

We have just returned from a 1 night stay at the stylotel. It was myself, my partner and 2 small children aged 5 and 3. This is hotel is AMAZING. On arrival we were offered to upgrade to a newer room for a small fee, which we did. When we got to the room we were very surprised on how modern it was! The downstairs part of the room had a double bed and single bed, upstairs had another double bed, glass banister and glsss panels looking from the upstairs to the downstairs, LED lighting around the room which we could control ourselves and change the colours, very cosy! Flat screen tv and a very modern white bathroom also with LED lighting in which changed. The hotel staff were extremely helpful and couldn’t do enough for us, even brought our luggage to the room for us. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from Paddington station (ideal for families) and a 6 minute walk to Hyde park. I would 100% recommend this hotel and definitely return!

The hotel is an incredibly easy walk from Paddington Station which is the destination of the Heathrow Express train. We were in town in a calm and quick 20 minutes using the express train.

The hotel's room are... cozy and the hallways are... narrow. I've had a smaller room in NYC but the hallways and stairways are classic old Europe.

Multiple restaurants and stores are a 2 minute walk from the front door.

The reason I'm not giving the room an excellent rating is because they are very small and the TV played very few stations.

The staff were incredibly helpful and always willing to offer advice on destinations.

We will definitely stay there again.

went for a quick family trip to London, myself my wife and my 19 year old son. Eventually came across this hotel, never having stayed here before (normally stay in premier inns) as son was 19 their rules don't allow it. Room was ideal for the 3 of us very comfortable and plenty of space, bathroom was small but very functional. Breakfast was included in price and it was superb, very handy for everything 15 min walk to oxford street and near 2 tube stations will be back. Near good restaurants and its own bar is excellent well done.

What a wonderful experience we had. Andreas the hotel manager and all his staff were superb. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and the location was perfect for all our needs. It's so close to Paddington Station and so many bus lines. We felt safe and relaxed and breakfast was great with hot and cold options and the kitchen staff went out of their way to make our time there very special.

Convenient location close to Paddington and Lancaster stations. Friendly helpful staff, rooms are modern, clean and comfy beds. If you are from North America the rooms are small compared to what you are use to but this is Europe. Good buffet breakfast with hot food. Lots of restaurants nearby as well. If you are looking for value, convenient location and not pay downtown prices would recommend this hotel hands down. If I come back to London, yes I would stay here

On arrival on 10 October 2022, we were offered an upgrade “free of charge” to a more modern and refurbished room, Room 309. I wasn’t aware I had booked an un refurbished room as the website doesn’t state some are modern and some are not.
I was informed the room was very small, but I hadn’t understood how small i.e., one person had to climb over the other to reach the bathroom during the night. There was about a 40cm space around the bed as there was a dressing table, chair and fridge in there too.
Our problems started on night 1:
• The room was horrendously hot even though we tried to make the air con come one
• There was a horrendous ticking noise that would not stop at 5am
• The lights were flashing at 5am and then total darkness so we couldn’t use the bathroom as couldn’t see it.
• The tv came on at full volume at 5am
I used the torch on my phone and called reception. I was accused of not putting the key card in the slot (this is not required in the refurbed rooms). I called 3 times (all the while a persistent alarm going off) and eventually someone came to the room at 5:30am and accused us of smoking.
On the day 2 someone else came to look at the problem and advised us to just “hit” the control panel to stop the ticking noise.

On day 3 we were informed an electrician had investigated the day before and confirmed there was nothing wrong with the control panel.

I showed the hotel manager a video clip of the faulty control panel and the ticking noise and he offered a free one-night stay or a refund.

We agreed to the free one-night stay but on reflection we decided would prefer a refund. The reason being that we live in the Northeast of England and trips to London are not common.

The hotel has not replied to any emails, Hotels.com (our booking agent) will not provide their email address or a phone number but their instant chat facility told me they could do nothing.

I have since spoken to the hotel manager who has confirmed the room we were in has now been closed to guests, yet still no refund as they are all so busy.

I would not recommend this hotel if you want a good night’s sleep or expect any customer service.
