I chose Hub London Clerkenwell due to location and price. My first time in a Hub and traveling alone I'm happy to try new brands. The website mentioned it was a new hotel so I was keen to see and, now that I am here, provide feedback. Hotel was easy to fine and check in was easy. Both terminals were out of use, but a human receptionist was present and there was no wait time. My room was not cramped as I had expected. works well for one. Two would fit if athletic enough to climb over each other as the bed can only be accessed from one side. My room (4th floor) was quiet and the black out blind worked very well. This morning I wanted to work and initially thought this would be a problem but then noticed the slide out desk. this justifies the chair which seemed out of place last night. Its a perfectly useable workspace and there are plenty of power sockets and USB charging points where you would need them. The general design is good and low-maintenance with hard wipe down surfaces. The bathroom is generally well designed, but I fear most will find the shower wets the bathroom floor and this may ultimately damage the carpet tiles in the bedroom zone. Initially the room appeared adequately clean but closer inspection shows hand marks on the door, greasy marks on the glass partition between the bed and the bathroom and dirty marks on the pull out desk which had been under the flier advertising the breakfast. I have put a towel over these so that I can use the desk. Breakfast is exceptional value at £7. A reasonable selection which includes yoghurt, fruit, pastries and a cooked selection which comprises wafer thin bacon, sausages, scrambled eggs and baked beans. Relatively small quantities are on display but staff are attentive and replenishing all the time. I was impressed to see the chef had prepared vegan sausages for someone and when these were not collected promptly he went out and delivered them personally.

I was pleasantly surprised with how good the Hub was, the room was extremely clean and well appointed, I especially liked the free bottled water and extra towels we were handed, free no fuss wifi and the bed and pillows were extremely comfortable, although it is quite high off the ground so perhaps some sort of pull-up side bar to the bed would be useful as I did fear rolling over in my sleep and falling off as I don't normally sleep on the left side! The shower was great pressure and temp. Also quite liked that the TV volume would only go up to 15, a nice touch that you or your neighbors couldn't disturb each other when watching it. Reason for 4 stars is due to the very disappointing lack of dairy-free options provided at breakfast, lukewarm soya milk for tea only, no dairy free yogurt which made the cereal and fruit section unusable, it's surely not that hard to keep a few dairy-free pots of yogurt in the fridge for when people ask for them especially in London where you'd expect a bit more choice which I find really frustrating. Other than this, a good stay.

Brilliant. I've always shunned hubs in the past because I thought they were basic but pricing drove the decision and how wrong I was about the basic. Smaller but warmer, more comfortable and a considerably better night's sleep than in other Premier Inns because the smaller room made me feel more comfortable. The buttons on the bed were helpful, the lack of kettle wasn't a problem although meant no hot water bottle (no-one should use hotel kettles anyway) and the shower was great. It did set the fire alarm off with the steam though. The Bayliss and Harding toiletries were miles better than at other Premier inn's in the area. New. Clean. Modern. Not too noisy despite having a window onto the street. Great downstairs cafe with free tea and coffee. If not new and furniture was bashed or the place wasn't as clean as it is new, then the sizes of the rooms and white decor would make it look a bit shabby but if Premier Inn can keep the place maintained, I'll keep coming.

A new Hub in a great location, but very disappointing that Premier Inn continue to hike their prices to the extent that the Hubs are rarely now worth the exorbitant post pandemic room rates. An almighty cheek too to expect customers to pay even more to check in early. As a result there was a huge queue of people waiting to check in, and as one of the waiting customers aptly put it “our room is ready but we are not allowed to have it”! Hubs are basic capsule hotels with an en suite toilet and shower. Facilities are very basic and need to be priced accordingly. We arrived early and refused to pay the new rip off £10 fee to check in early, so we just sat in the lounge and drank as much free orange juice and coffee as we could while we waited.
Breakfast is great value at £7, but the eating area is too small with too few staff clearing tables, and the provision of hot items was badly organised so that they never had all the hot items ready at the same time.
We had an event to attend so had to pay the room rate, but wouldn’t do so again. Whitbread are being post pandemic greedy. Sorry, but the product you are offering is just not worth the rates you are now charging.

My stay at the Hub by Premier Inn London Clerkenwell was a very pleasant surprise. I initially booked this hotel on the day of because I had missed my train from London to Paris and was stuck in London until the next day. This Hub was very fairly priced and accessible from King's Cross St. Pancras, so I opted to book this option.

I wasn't sure what to expect from a Hub location because I generally prefer larger sized rooms. I ended up booking the bigger room option at this Hub and it was an extremely pleasant surprise. For a solo traveler, the room size was sufficient. I appreciated that the limited space available was effectively used.

I was most impressed by the tech available in the room and in the hotel in general though. There are electronic consoles to control the lighting, AC, and "do not disturb" notifications for your room. Security was also tight at the entrance and the lift lobbies, as you need a key card to access all of it.

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, especially the gentleman (who may have been the manager?) who helped check me in early after an exhausting morning with the missed train. I also appreciated the free coffee, tea, and water available 24/7 in the lobby of this location. The lobby/common space was very thoughtfully designed as well and had plenty of tables and seating for folks looking to just work or socialize outside of their room. Had I had more time, I would have gladly done so in the lobby myself.

The room was also very clean and quiet as well.

First time staying in a Hub and it will definitely not be the last.
I use a small mobility scooter and access into the hotel was level and via automatic doors. Check in was speedy and friendly.
I am short statured and have a mobility disability and I'd say the accessible room was the most accessible room I've stayed in [and I'm a keen traveller] - lower coat hooks, lower bed, reachable room controls, properly accessible sink and shower. Plenty of charging points/sockets [a couple of extra ones if you find the pull down shelf!]
All totally spotless too.
There was no window in the room which I've never experienced before but I had one of the best nights sleep in ages due to the lack of light!
Didn't have breakfast as went round the corner where we realised this would be a great base for going out in the Exmouth Market area.
Also a short wheel away from wheelchair accessible Farringdon on the Elizabeth line.

This is the second hub we've stayed at, the first being King's Cross. And while we preferred the first one, there is absolutely nothing wrong with this one and I would definitely recommend it if you're in North London.

The staff are welcoming and friendly, maybe more than they need to be. We're already aware of how to check into a hub so didn't need a staff member hovering over us while we did it. Just check first rather than assume guests need help. And the first morning I went downstairs on three separate occasions to refill my coffee and was asked by the same person twice if I wanted breakfast.

Ah yes. The breakfast. If you fancy something hot and are vegetarian or vegan it's eggs and beans if you're the former and just beans if you're the latter. If you're paying the same price as meat eaters (and the sausages did look nice) you should at least be offered veggie sausages.

The room is nice, clean and quiet even though it overlooked Farringdon Road.

All in all a very pleasant experience.

I stayed here last summer when I was visiting London for an event and it says a lot that when I went to a conference/expo in February 2024 I went back to Hub at Clerkenwell. It isn't cheap for the tiny, uniform room (stayed in two rooms at this Hub and one at the Hub on Goodge Street), but it's clean, well planned in terms of the use of space (the slightly higher off the ground bed allows for decent storage underneath, the end of h bed extends to become a sort of desk for a laptop). I only ate breakfast there and it was a good breakfast for a great price (£7 for all you can eat makes it very, very attractive), but the pizzas I saw others eating in the bar looked good. The staff were really helpful and friendly. 20-ish minutes walk from King's X, maybe 7 minutes on a bus, 20 minutes walk from the Business Design Centre in Islington (where I was going on both of my visits), 10 minutes from Sadler's Wells, Exmouth Market just round the corner. This is a really good place for a stay in Clerkenwell/Finsbury Park/Islington sort of area for a couple or business. I will go back.

A fabulous stay! I was surprised to find the hotel opened in March 2023 as everything still felt brand new. There were lovely smells in the corridors & the complimentary tea & coffee in the bar area was a great and very welcome touch. We had a larger room & the tech for lighting & heating etc was very modern. The highlight though was the towels! Actual bath sheets! Having not long come off a cruise where thin bath towels were the standard issue I cannot tell you how impressed I was to get a lovely fluffy bath sheet! All staff were very amenable & the buffet breakfast was excellent value anywhere, never mind in central London.

The staff were very attentive on arrival, and the room was spotless. The shower was lovely and the digital room controls helped customise your experience. The blackout curtains were the best I've had in a hotel room, and the location was within walking distance of Farringdon station.

Best of all, I accidentally left an item with personal value at the hotel. The staff were extremely helpful in reuniting me with this item, answering several phone calls and going out of their way to assist. Thank you so much Clerkenwell hub!
