Nestled in the heart of central London, Zedwell Piccadilly Circus hotel garners appreciation for its prime location and modern, minimalist design. However, feedback indicates that the compact rooms might feel claustrophobic and lack expected amenities. While some guests commend the hotel for its cleanliness, others have experienced inconsistency in this area.
The serene atmosphere is occasionally marred by loud music from nearby clubs. Moreover, guests have voiced dissatisfaction with unexpected additional fees for basic services and amenities, which could sour the overall value proposition.

Detailed Reviews
This is the Ryanair of hotels. Super basic but functional and everything is an added cost (gym = £10, breakfast = £15).
It’s a converted cinema with no outside windows and could do with a bedside reading lamp in the rooms as the atmospheric lighting (the LEDs behind the bed) aren’t quite bright enough.
That said it is clean enough and in a god location.
The beds are on the softer side and the pillows are thin.
The double room is ideal if you are a solo traveller who wants to be in central London and just looking to come in sleep, wash and leave.

Booked this hotel for a trip with friends. I will say that the location is absolutely amazing. Just a minute walk to Picadilly Circus and close to the underground which is great.
When we arrived we were a bit ahead of schedule so our room was both ready. We knew this as the website did note that check in was not until 15:00. However when asked to store our luggage they told us that it’s 15£ per BAG not per Person! So if you are travelling with a suitcase and a backpack that you want to store that’s 30£ and could be even more depending on your luggage. When I checked on booking to see if this fee is mentioned somewhere it is not. Somebody even asked if they are able to store luggage to which they answered that they do but failed to mention the 15£ charges per bag. This is the only hotel that I have ever stayed in that charges for luggage storage. This is a standard request and maybe the Zedwell could learn from other hotels that offer this basic service free of charge:)
Housekeeping at the hotel doesn’t actually clean the rooms every day at least in our case. They just throw a fresh towel and roll of toilet paper onto the bed. They don’t even bother putting it in the shelf in the bathroom. In our friends room they didn’t even do that. So very low standards for housekeeping here.
The hotel is safe, You need to use your room key to access the floors which is nice.
Overall I probably would not book here again but if you don’t mind paying for bags and not getting quality housekeeping then this place might be for you.

When we booked this hotel we knew what we were booking: a small dungeon at a good price with good cleanliness and modern-minimalist decoration (what all the hotels in London lack unless you pay €500 a night, wow).
The good price, therefore, is in exchange for a series of “shortcomings” (so to speak) such as a tiny room without windows, having to check-in no matter what. 3pm unless you want to pay a supplement of €50, having to carry your suitcases on the day of check-in and check-out unless you want to pay €15 per suitcase and many more, etc. In fact, this is a hotel that works like a low-cost flight company: I give you the minimum at a cheap price and whatever you want more you pay me.
All this is not a problem, since we knew what we were coming for and, in fact, it is a practical and functional hotel to spend a couple of nights considering that you will be away all day and you will only go there to rest.
Now, if you are going to rest, then the bed becomes a very important element (and even more so considering that it is the only thing in the room: a bed and a piece of furniture to leave your suitcase). Well, the bed is really uncomfortable: the mattress is very worn and you notice the springs everywhere. I woke up with terrible back pain every day. The pillows are very, very thin, which I didn't like very much either (although I understand that this is to the consumer's taste).
In short, if they change the mattresses and you are aware of what you are getting, it is a good option to consider for a trip to London.

Small room, without windows, they say to help sleep, but in my room there was a smell of fried food reaching the air conditioning ducts (I was probably close to the fryer's shop) I informed the reception and they replied that they didn't have a 'another room, But they sent a guy with a perfumed spray!!🫣 As for the silence in my room we could hear disco music from some nearby venue.
If you turn off the light you find yourself completely in the dark and you have no perception of the time, if you leave the bathroom light on it always seems like daytime and you wake up 20 times a night. I asked when they cleaned the room and they replied that they only clean it on the fourth day (I stayed three nights so I was left with a dirty room) they only give you towels. You can't check in early because they ask you a lot of money, they don't have a hairdryer in the room, if you want it you have to rent it for the modest sum of 10 pounds a day, in short, whatever you ask they'll skin you... it will be the fault of Brexit ...who can say.. the only really favorable thing about this hotel is the location.

I came to this hotel with fairly low expectations but unfortunately these were not met either,
I came with my family.
Positive notes: the location of the hotel is fantastic and the cleanliness by English standards is good, the shower is spacious and beautiful and the beds are comfortable
Cons: the hotel has no windows and the corridors are narrow and distressing and with many stains on the carpet
For any additional service you have to pay, they do not clean the room every day and the toilet and towels you have to go and request them every time,
Rooms completely devoid of any support apart from that of the suitcase,
In some but not all rooms there is the bathroom with an opaque glass that, despite the opaque glassy sees everything it does to the bathroom so privacy is minimal,
Breakfast is not included and not even a bar inside the hotel but it is a minor problem,
At 10 am (checout time) they deactivate the key is they don't even have a minute of tolerance so the keys won't work anymore,
On the site is specified the absence of windows but not in large and you have to look a lot for this fundamental feature for me.
Conclusions: hotel with great location but with many negatives clearly higher than the positive unfortunately would not stay there and honestly if you do not care the location I do not recommend it

I took a group of student travelers on this 8 day trip. Although the comforts our Amer55ican students were used to were not there, such as a TV, Window, Hair dryer, dresser, night table etc. We did think of it as "Camping in the city" We kept our suitcases organized and appreciated the Air conditioned and VERY clean rooms with very comfortable beds. The rooms are virtually soundproof so sleeping was no problem, and the staff and lobby area was always clean and well staffed. The WiFi was solid and we had no problem, the trade off for the basic amenities was more than worth it in the AMAZING location that simply cannot be beat. You are 1 block to Leicester Square, China town, Soho and the tube is in front of your hotel door. Across the street is the hard rock cafe and lots of live performers around the area with theater within 1 block for a show! This prime location was more than worth "camping in the city." Guest services Manager, "Lucky," was professional, kind and responsive when I needed immediate assistance with my group, as were all staff members. I would return to this location with my family.

Due to a last minute shopping trip for my wife, we chose this hotel due to its location, which just meters away from Picadilly Circus is perfect.
We arrived in London by train a few hours before check-in. There is an option to check-in early if you are prepared to pay.
We decided to go and find some lunch, not before finsing out that luggage storage also costs £15 per item, so we dragged our luggage around with us.
We returned at check-in time (I found out later that you can check-in 15 minutes early for free) and this was a simple preocess that you perfrom yourself with one of the many tablets.
The rooms are basic. A low bed (too low for me I discovered), nothing else except for some power points and a bathroom with a frosted glass screen and a round hole in lieu of a handle, so you can look in whne the door is shut.
The bathroom was adequate for a single night.
There are gender free toilets on the lower groundfloor and somewhere to sit and eat purchased food and drink. We did not investigate this and cannot comment of what is available.
When we returned late in the evening, we arrived on our floor, 2 or 3 and as soon as we exited the lift we could hear the thumping of music. As we had to pass through some additonal security doors before reaching our room, I had expected it to be gone when inside, or at least very low. No, there was no change, so I had to walk down to reception and request another room.
Because we had to vacate our exisiting room, I had to go back up to inform my wife, pack our stuff anf go down to the lobby, They then issued us with a new room which was nice and quite once inside and identical to ur first room except a bit longer.
During our wait in the lobby waiting to be realocated a room, it was nothed that some guests had to ask staff for bascis such as toilet roll and towels...
For my wife and I, we would be happy to stay a little further away as we have done in the past for a generally better hotel.

Hello there, thank you for sharing such a detailed account of your stay. We’re pleased to hear that our location, just steps from Piccadilly Circus, was convenient for your last-minute shopping trip. However, we sincerely apologise for the inconveniences you encountered, from the extra luggage storage fee to the noise disturbance and room relocation process. We understand how these issues impacted your experience, and it's not the standard we aim for. Your feedback regarding the room design and facilities is also noted, and we will review these areas for improvement. If there's anything we can do to enhance a future visit, please let us know. We hope you’ll consider staying with us again. Be well...Zedwell, Guest Experience Team Zedwell Family

To start we arrive at the hotel around noon and check-in could be done at 3 pm. We ask if they can keep our luggage or if we can check-in before and we are told that we have to pay £15 per suitcase or pay the advanced check-in £60.
Second, the rooms are never cleaned, the beds are never made and the housekeeper often forgot to use linens or toilet paper. Which is unacceptable for a hotel at this price.
The room is very small, there is no wardrobe and it is very complicated to have a little privacy because the toilets and showers are closed by a small glass. There is also no hair dryer or toilet brush.
Also at the end of the stay when I did the check-out, a receptionist asked me to do a review and she wrote everything for me (I obviously deleted this review).
I would not recommend this hotel unless you have a good offer as the location is very good.

My recent experience at the Hotel Zedwell Piccadilly was extremely disappointing and uncomfortable. The room was bare and devoid of any comfort: only two mattresses were thrown on the floor without adequate bed bases or supports. This made the stay particularly difficult, especially considering the need for my wife, who has a disability, to have a chair or adequate support. The lack of furniture, shelves or any support surface transformed our stay into an unpleasant and chaotic experience.
The bathroom was inadequate and lacked privacy, with a glass door that did not close. The sink area was so limited that it didn't even allow for the placement of towels, and there was no space to place personal hygiene items. The total absence of a hairdryer was a further disappointment.
The lack of room service and minimal hygiene equipment further aggravated our experience. We had to explicitly request the room to be cleaned and manage the most basic needs ourselves.
In conclusion, I cannot help but express my profound dissatisfaction with the unacceptable conditions of stay. A hotel of this category and in such a location should guarantee a minimum level of comfort and service. I strongly advise against staying at this property to anyone looking for even a minimally comfortable stay experience.
Furthermore, they send an email to request payment before leaving, they say it's a mistake but it happens to everyone and if you ask for explanations they reply to pay in cryptocurrencies. Hallucinating.
If being minimal means resting, they don't even know what it means, is throwing even the things in your pockets on the ground relaxation?
Now, as everyone does, they will reply that they are sorry and with standard answers and they don't care about the fact that they really felt bad about it. I demand a refund!!!!

We had a great time at Zedwell. The location is very central, a few steps from the Piccadilly Circus tube stop. Their idea is to keep any distractions away and carve out a quiet space after visiting the frenetic city. As soon as you enter the hallway you are catapulted into an oasis of tranquility with plants and wood. I liked the naturalistic style. You can check in and out by yourself, but you can also ask the staff for help. I really appreciated that at night there was a guy outside the door checking if you were a real hotel guest. It made me feel safe. The room (Cocoon 2) was very minimal: just a bed, a mirror, a few coat hangers, a bench for luggage and the bathroom with a frosted glass door. No carpet on the floor (love it!), which is rare in London. There are no windows and you can turn the lights off completely so you feel like you're somewhere else while it's still chaos outside. We slept like we hadn't in ages. The bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. In the bathroom (which was quite nice and modern) we found 2 large towels, a bath mat, shower gel, shampoo and hand soap. If you can survive the lack of privacy (due to the glass), the only downside to the bathroom was that, while showering, the water could flood the room a little. But this won't be a problem if you turn off the water while you soap up (save water!). Big plus during the heat wave, the air conditioning worked perfectly. I can't stress enough that you're right in the middle of London's city life, with restaurants and shops, while still being able to sleep well after sightseeing. Easy to get to from Heathrow airport, you can pretty much walk everywhere, so for the price it's still worth it. If you stay there, don't miss the chance to eat at Happy Restaurant, just around the corner...simply delicious! Anyway, I will definitely stay at Zedwell again if I return to London. Totally recommended!
