The Park Grand London Kensington garners mixed reviews, with guests commending its central location near Earl's Court station for easy access and transit. While the hotel's atmosphere is generally appreciated for its cleanliness and comfort, some guests feel certain areas could use an update. The rooms, although clean for some, are often criticized for being in the basement without windows and for various maintenance issues. Service quality varies, with reports of both friendly staff and poor communication. Amenities are considered basic, with some concerns over Wi-Fi and room provisions. Additionally, the value proposition is questioned by many who cite overpricing relative to quality and service received.

I love this hotel. This is the 3rd time I've been there (the 2nd time before COVID). It's a little expensive (but in London, everything is exorbitant) but the services are there, so basically it's value for money... The rooms are spacious (very rare in this city). The bedding is good. Enough storage space. Well lit. There is a microwave, a fridge, an iron and ironing board, a courtesy tray, a safe and 2 complimentary bottles of water on arrival. The heating works well. Wifi too. The bathroom is spacious with storage space and hooks on the door. The shower is large and works perfectly (in rain or with the shower head). Courtesy products are provided. The cleanliness is impeccable. The street side room was very quiet. The buffet breakfast was very good too. Lots of choice and it was good (the bread was very average but there were very good pastries and different sandwich breads to toast). There was a choice between English breakfast (eggs, cheese, bacon, etc.) and continental (bread, pastries, yogurts, cereals, fruit, etc.). The staff very nice (except at reception where I found them friendly but not smiling at all).

Don’t believe the poor reviews!
I made a booking at this hotel before reading the reviews. Silly me! Having read the reviews I was very worried and anxious. However. This soon shifted.

The hotel is very conveniently located next to Earl’s Court tube station which you can access the rest of London from. Located within the immediate area are loads of restaurants, fast food, shops and bakery’s. The hotel is situated within a view nice quiet road.

Exterior is very attractive and looks great. Reception staff helpful and polite. I emailed prior to going to ask for a high floor and they didn’t disappoint. The room I booked, a superior double, was just beautiful. Clean. Modern. Huge comfortable bed with a soft and hard pillow to choose from. TV, aircon, iron, tea coffee facilities, microwave and a small fridge. Everything you needed. The bathroom is quite small however modern, clean, has a bath tub with a powerful shower overhead and plenty of towels. I was very happy with the room. They even decorated the bed for us due to it being our anniversary

Breakfast in the morning was hot, plenty of choice and again lovely staff

I would recommend this hotel

I stayed 5 nights in this hotel. The greatest advantage is the location, a 3-minute walk from Earl's Court Underground station (District and Piccadilly Line), truly strategic. Surroundings full of clubs, pubs and chains. As already read in other reviews, the room (it was on the 5th floor) was very small and not particularly well looked after, but still equipped with everything you needed (safe, toiletries, tea and kettle, hairdryer). Maintenance needs to be reviewed, especially in the bathroom, and cleanliness is sufficient but not extraordinary. Very helpful staff (they lent us a power socket adapter then returned it upon check-out). Decent breakfast, but not exceptional in terms of both quantity and quality. I would still stay here again for the amazing location and the quality/price ratio which is not so easy to find at this level in London.

This hotel needs to understand the term service. The room was OK, the location OK but the level of service for a hotel attracting this price was abysmal - I arrived to a receptionist who tried 3 times to allocate me to a room in the basement with no windows. I eventually was given a room on the first floor - the amenities in the room were no better than a motel with an empty fridge set to minimum temperature so pretty useless, cheap coffee n tea and no water. I called the ' so called room service' for water and was told 'we don't provide water you will have to call the restaurant.' I did and was presented with a luke warm bottle of water I had to pay for at my room door as the restaurant is a separate business! I then discovered the Wi-Fi did not work as too many users on it at the same time the response to this was to send the receptionist to my room who had no knowledge of how to get it started and could only suggest I move rooms. At this point I only had 45 mins left to get ready to go out. I then got a call from front desk asking if I would meet with the Duty Manager, which I agreed to do if I had time, which I didn't, as he arrived in reception as my driver turned up. Could it get any worse - oh YES. On my return to the hotel I asked the front desk to order me a cab for the morning. At 1.30am they decided to call the room to tell me Uber was not answering the phone and I would have to call the front desk again in the morning. I slept well (only saving grace) then repeated my cab request to the morning staff who sorted it, but does it end there oh NO. The Mini cab driver, did not know London, needed to rely on satnav and when got to my destination he struggled to find anywhere to pull over so took me on a 15-minute circuit of Euston whilst on the phone to a courier who was trying to deliver something to his house. I eventually got out of the car, a 15-minute walk away from my desired location. To say this was an uncomfortable journey, after a very poor overnight stay is an understatement. Def NOT recommend.

This hotel is "grand" only in that slightly tired hotely kind of way. Location is good, on a quiet side street a short walk from Earl's Court station. Room is small but you expect that in central London. Mattress was tired, but so were we so we didn't care.

The singular reason we won't be back is their stupid and shortsighted policy of not holding luggage. After an overnight flight, arriving early morning with bags in tow, all we want is a place to drop our bags while we tour around waiting for room to be ready. This is the only hotel we've ever encountered that refused. The front desk even had the audacity to suggest we might try leaving them at the off-license down the street. So if you are planning to arrive before 3pm check-in time, BEWARE. You may need to walk the city with your luggage.

We also had another odd issues. Reading down the comment's we saw someone complained that housekeeping barged in on them while they were in the room. We kind of chuckled at this yet the exact same thing happened to us. It was 4pm, room had been made up, we had come back briefly before heading out for the evening. We heard a rattling at the door, then the doorbell as the door was opened with a call of "housekeeping". No warning. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and a further indication that this hotel has not gotten their details sorted out yet.

Needless to say, there are innumerable alternatives in London from boutique to large chains so no need for us to ever stay here again.

We chose this hotel in Earls Court, because it was not only ideally situated near the tube station, and had been given previously good reviews.
We were certainly not disappointed. From the minute we approached the hotel reception on arrival, we were treated with first class service. The two young female receptionists whose names I did not get, were polite and very helpful, along with Abdul Khalik and Raka, who provided excellent service when needed. In fact Abdul went out of his way to provide us with some milk, when none was available in our room. Although we had arrived a little early, we were allowed into our allocated room, as it had been cleaned and serviced. The rooms are spotless, and very clean, with all facilities provided, including a microwave oven, safe, ironing board, iron, and tea/ coffee. The walls looked freshly painted and the bathroom had a good powerful shower, and ample lighting, with a full mirror, and a nice flexible mirror for shaving/ makeup. The toilet was self close, double flush, and there was a nice large sink with continuous hot and cold water. The powerful shower also never leaked water onto the floor, like many other hotels sometimes do. There were individual bottles, of soap liquid, shampoo and conditioner. For those who prefer a bath, one is included.
The bed was very comfortable, and warm. You get a good nights sleep, and the hotel is very quiet. In fact one of the quietest hotels both my wife and I have stayed in.The room was well lit with plenty of lighting, and there are ample mains plug points, plus USB, European, Japanese/USA power points.
The breakfast is very good with plenty of choice and ample food.
Over all, the hotel has cosy, spotless, and amply provided rooms. With a good breakfast, first class service, and a good quiet nights sleep. It is conveniently situated and has pleasant surrounds. A hotel we will definitely go back to.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 1st London stay at this hotel. I arrived before check-in, my luggage was stored until my room was ready. This hotel has a lift, the capacity size is not big so if traveling with 4+ family/friends & their luggage, you may need to take an extra trip on the lift or take the stairs. Chloe & Destine (Manager) went above and beyond, there was a issue in my 1st room I was assigned a different room on the same floor. The quiet 5th floor room was not big but it was a suitable size, it had a microwave, mini fridge, room service panel w/ door bell and card controlled light system. The only minor issue was the room doors slam, you have to hold & turn the door handle to prevent it from slamming. The bathroom had a large & high bathtub with two showers (hand & overhead). The bed was comfortable but a bit too soft and the pillows were somewhat flat (stacking them helped). The hotel is located away from the main street and traffic noise and is about 3 minutes walk to the main street to the underground tube (Earl's Court station), bus stops, grocery store (Co-op), Caffé Nero, McDonald's, Starbucks, KFC and other restaurants/stores nearby. I highly recommend this hotel when visiting London.

Lovely hotel only 2-3 minutes walk from Earls Court tube station. For a London hotel I thought the room was a good size with a comfortable bed and well appointed bathroom. I was pleasantly surprised to find we had a fridge in the room which was not listed in the room description. The towels in the bathroom were large, soft and fluffy, they may have been new. We had room 516 on the top floor, it was nice and quiet and had a very efficient and silent air conditioning unit which I really appreciated. As well as our room, the corridors, reception area and restaurant were very clean and tidy. We didn’t eat in the hotel but we did have a drink at the bar on our first night and looked at the menu, Indian and English cuisine, I thought it was reasonably priced for London and the food we saw being served looked and smelled delicious. Rinishi was lovely, cheerful and kind, so were all the staff we met, they always spoke to us when we entered or left the hotel.

We booked in October an executive room with two single beds, and we paid in advance. The book was confirmed and in the details said Two single beds.
When we arrived, the supervisor was very arrogant and told us that we did not have two beds because, depending on the availability, we would have only one bed. We argued with him because I wrote before and paid in advance to be sure that we had it and that wasn't the agreement and he threatened us " you can take it or leave it".
At this moment, lots of people were arriving, and nobody had problems except us. Actually when we said to him that his behaviour was rude he said that it was a big difference between him and us....... "That was a serious discrimination.
After a while, he gave us an alternative room in the basement, which wasn't ready . We weren't very happy but we accepted for one night because it has 2 beds. We left our luggage in the place after having the issue sorted. However, we said to him that we would spend few hours out while the room got cleaned and he assured us that it wouldn't be any problem about that. But, when we came back in the afternoon to colect our bags and get the keys we were informed that the basement was gone and he gave us another room with one bed.
We feel very discriminated and dismissed by the supervisor. I wouldn't recomend this place to anyone.
