The Thistle London Marble Arch is often celebrated for its enviable location close to central London's attractions and convenient transport links. Guests have lauded the diverse breakfast and comfortable rooms, though some mention the rooms could benefit from modernization and better soundproofing.
Many reviewers appreciate the hotel's cleanliness and welcoming atmosphere, but opinions on value for money are split, with some deeming it overpriced. The friendly and professional service receives high marks, despite occasional remarks about slow elevators and response times to concerns.

Booked this hotel based on the photos and location then afterwards read reviews on here and was a little apprehensive about our stay, I needn’t have been. We arrived at the hotel at 11am and although reception area was busy we were saw too straight away as there was around 6 members of staff ready to help. (All staff we had any dealings with were polite and cheerful) Checking in was a breeze and our room was upgraded to an apartment. Room was lovely, again I was appreciative with some of the reviews I had read but it was spotlessly clean and smelt gorgeous. It was really spacious and my 16 year old son loved that he was in a separate room so he had some privacy. Location was perfect for us for shopping and food. We got room service which was nice, think it was around £45 for 2 meals (burger was lovely) 2 soft drinks and a hot chocolate. Breakfast was also lovely, we went down around 9.30 and it wasn’t overly busy, was seated straight away and the only thing we queued for was the hot drinks machine but there was only 1 person ahead of me. Only negative thing I can think of is the lifts do get busy, especially of a morning, we were on the top floor and heading down we stopped on almost every floor but tbh I’ve had this in almost every hotel I’ve stayed in. Overall we had a fantastic stay here and will definitely stay here again (in an apartment) on our next trip to London

The hotel is located in Marble Arch, very convenient 200 meters from the Underground Red Line. A few meters from the hotel begins London's shopping street par excellence, Oxford Street. The hotel is huge, check in and check out are very quick, the breakfast is very good, there is everything and of good quality. The huge room is also suitable for 3 people, King size bed. The blind bathroom, without a shower and with a bathtub, but still comfortable. Note the presence of carpet everywhere. The stairs cannot be found as an alternative to the elevators which are very busy and always full given the high number of rooms. The restaurant and bar are always open and guests are offered a 30% discount voucher (booking from The Fork you get 50%). Excellent room cleaning service, except for cleaning the common areas in the corridors on the upper floors (tray with dirty glasses left there for 2 days in a row). Overall great experience, I would go back and recommend it.

I stayed in this hotel many years ago and was happy to return and find it just as comfortable as it had been the first time! The rooms are lovely, the staff is very helpful, coffee, bar, and restaurant everything you need. The location is excellent. Based on cost of other hotels in London, at that time, we felt like it was a good value. Mohammed from housekeeping was exceptional in his Customer Service skills, he helped us with a laundry issue and went above and beyond. This type of employee makes all the difference in the customer experience. !

This is not the first time we stay at this hotel . We are a frequent guests .We choosed this hotel because of it's good location .
The check-in process was good with receptionist staff Ms. Anusha . We asked her for Oxford Street View and we surprised she charged us £ 10 extra for each night per room . I am not sure why this time as we had last time without any extra charges !!! Supposed to be free upon availability. It wasn't busy time or busy hotel at the week we arrived or stayed.
She gave us rooms which are looks not ready , untidy and with broken curtains , but we said OK because of the views. The room ( Deluxe King Room) is Airconditioned with good size .There are Ironing Facilities , Good WIFI , No Slippers ( only when we asked and got it ) and No water kettle except coffee maker . There are only soap and shampoo in the bathrooms . There are free water , chips and soft drinks in the mini bar and are supposed to be refill every day but during our five nights stay , they didn't refill either the mini bar or coffee or tea ! There is no Soundproofing between the rooms which a bit annoying .
We had not tried the breakfast .The Breakfast is at £ 18 but if you book a day earlier will be at £ 15 or while booking online or via check-in counter .
As I said even we are a frequent guests at this Hotel , our experience this time with hotel was very bad . No-one is answering the phone either Reception, Concierge, Room Service or Housekeeping which annoyed us. If you need some things, you have to go down. We had several instances during our stay. We got the rooms which are nit ready with missing items , we requested them to check and bring . We had to remind them next day and we got some items.
Another example of bad experience, next day we tried via Housekeeping and Room service to get tea spoons as it was missing in the room but they asked us to pay £ 5 to get . Why ? This item was supposed to be available in the room!!!! .
Then , we tried the same with Reception either with several calls or reminders with their promises but without any luck . Then I had to go down and got it finally . The services this time was very bad .
Generally it is a good hotel but with this bad experience, we will be hesitated to stay next time .

Within a walkable distance to Bond Street and Marble Arch stations as well as Hyde Park, this hotel is blessed with the most amazing location. We had booked the executive room and requested for an early check in. At the time of check in, even though our room was ready, Anastasia at the reception asked us to pay 50 pounds to get the room immediately, else we would have to wait until 3 pm. Our luggage took 50 minutes to arrive from the bell desk even though at every phone call I made, they said the luggage was in the lift and on the way to us.
The coffee machine was really bad and I asked them to change it but it wasn't done on the 1st day so I cleaned it myself. The receiver of the phone didn't work so all the calls had to be made over a speaker phone!!
You can expect a clean, air conditioned room with a comfortable bed but the other amenities are quite luck based! During the 6 day stay, they ran short of drinking water supply for 4 days and coffee supply for 3 days (they do have a convenience store on the ground floor though). There was no compensation for the same. The mini bar which was included for executive rooms was refilled as per the mood of the housekeeping. Sometimes there would be no hot chocolate sachets and at other times, there would be no tea bags or water! The breakfast is repetitive and average, especially for vegans and vegetarians. The executive lounge has drinks and snacks but the availability of the snacks is also luck dependent. We could grab a few nuts and hummus on 2 days but the other 4 days, they ran out of snacks by 6 pm!
Overall, great rooms, comfortable stay but huge lapse in communication between hotel staff and housekeeping.

Stayed here over the weekend as went to a BST festival at Hyde Park. Amazing location and perfect for getting to and from Hyde Park as it’s in walking distance. I didn’t use the hotel gym but paid to use the gym next door and it has great facilities. The concern that I had was on my way back from the gym to my room I walked past 2 maintenance men who saw me go in to my room alone. My room had the do not disturb sign on the door and I had pressed that button in my room to light up next to the door, I was in my room for 20 minutes when maintainer came knocking on my door to say that needed to come “clean the filter”. I had not reported any issues the day of or day prior, nor was I made aware of any. I didn’t open the door as I had just got out of the shower though the knocking and shouting was insistent. I informed reception of this and it made me feel really uneasy. Security popped up to the room (I think they had been sent by reception) just to check what was going on and when I explained they couldn’t understand why this would have happened if I did not report anything. Huge thank you to the gentleman from security as he was lovely! As a 30 year old woman travelling alone to meet friends at a festival it did unnerve me. As lots of others say in reviews the lifts are small and only 2 of them so if you have mobility issues you may have to wait a very long time for them and a lot of people like to not queue for them either :) Not sure if I would visit here again when staying in London as it’s a vast, busy hotel but doesn’t feel it’s equipped for the amount of guests.

My son and I stayed here on our vacation to London. We arrived, and everything was fine, the room was big and clean. Until we went to take a shower in the shower did not drain. It pulled up and would not drain down the drain and it came up and over The shower pan onto the floor. So, we decided to use the tub instead since there was a sprayer there, we could shower and make do as we were exhausted from our travels. What up then also had the same issue… The water would not drain. We attempted to go down to the reception desk to tell them it was too busy as there were so many people coming in and out of the hotel. I called from the phone in our room and it just rang and rang and no one answered. We decided to just go ahead and drain the water ourselves with the wastebasket as nobody could come and look at the issue anyway with so much water in the tub. The next morning we attempted to tell reception again, and there were so many people that it would cause us to be late for our museum Appointment. So we decided to wait until we returned. They finally sent somebody up to look at the issue and he only stayed in our room for a couple of minutes ran the water and said see it works just fine and he left. I had to let the shower run for a few more minutes. Call somebody else to come up and look to prove to them that there was an issue. We also had small cockroaches in our bathroom each morning that I had to kill and for the price that I paid, I would not have expected these issues. There were lots of Arabs, and tons of people gathered around outside smoking around the front of the hotel. Probably would not go back to this hotel, but it was centrally located and easy to get everywhere.

I highly recommend this hotel. We stayed for a week with my family and i would stay again in my next visit.
Location: The hotel is next to Marble Arch Station, just a 2-minute walk, allowing easy access to anywhere in the city. Oxford Street is literally right there, with Marks & Spencer, Primark, and Selfridges all nearby. I even took the underground to Oxford Circus to avoid the crowds on Oxford Street!
The hotel is very clean, with excellent cleaning service and nice food. The breakfast offers many choices, so you will definitely find something you like. I had access to the 2nd floor lounge for breakfast, which had a limited selection but was very quiet with excellent coffee. You can enjoy cakes, snacks, refreshments, and wine almost all day until 9 o'clock.
The main concern for guests is the elevators. It’s true that there are only two elevators for the whole hotel, which can be an issue. However, this is the only problem we encountered, and we were willing to wait a little, taking it easy since we were on holiday. It’s busy, but not all the time. During peak times, we took the stairs. I understand that some people may have mobility issues, in which case it could be a significant problem. Bear in mind, the hotel is large, and there is some walking involved in the corridors.
Our room accommodated four people, with a very large bed and a sofa bed, two TVs, and a minibar that was stocked daily with free water, refreshments, crisps, Coke, Diet Coke, a Nespresso machine with capsules, tea, instant coffee, hot chocolate, and a kettle. This was a nice gesture, and my kids loved it! We also had a microwave oven and a small fridge, which was great for storing their favorite drinks and fruit. If i needed anything more, i just aske for it from the cleaning service. They are more than happy to provide you with any extra stuff that you may need.
Downstairs, there is a Costa Coffee store, where I enjoyed having my cappuccino after breakfast. There are some chairs outside where I sat and enjoyed the nice breezy mornings!

Very large hotel on the famous Oxford street. The proximity to everything was the best thing about this hotel. There are a lot of restaurants and shops nearby and to Madame Tussaud we could walk in about 20 minutes. We went Thu-Sun and there were enough people at breakfast every morning. Fresh buffet with something for everyone and good service from those who served coffee at the table. As it is a very large hotel they can be a bit to walk from the room to the elevators, it gives a little sense of a ferry when you just run around in corridors looking for the elevator or your room. In the room the beds were comfortable, even the sofa bed was good. The room was on the whole fresh but a big minute was an incredibly unpleasant old smell that hit you in the face every time you entered the room. We didn’t have the energy to say about this and when you’ve been in the room for a while you didn’t think about the smell anymore but it just didn’t feel fresh. The minibar was replenished with water and Coke every day. There was no beer or wine. On the day of departure we were met by nice staff who helped us carry our bags down to the street.
If the hotel was cheaper I would recommend it if you are not going to spend a lot of time in the room and just sleep there and want to eat proper and tasty breakfast in the morning. As I said, the location was the most positive!

As far as I know most rooms have separate showers. Some rooms may only have a shower and no bathtub, some will have both. But it’s best you check with the hotel directly.
