Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Hilton London Euston has garnered mixed reviews, with guests enjoying its prime location and clean rooms, yet many find the hotel's atmosphere a blend of charm and weariness due to dated decor. The room temperatures often lean towards uncomfortably warm, exacerbated by faulty air conditioning, and the noise level is a common gripe, with city sounds penetrating the walls.
Service quality appears inconsistent, and some guests feel the value proposition is undermined by overcharging and subpar amenities, despite appreciation for the breakfast offerings.

Detailed Reviews
I had two nights at this property, adjacent to Euston which has both a railway and Underground Tube station. It's also a fairly short walk to Kings Cross international.
The area is fairly nice, and I enjoyed walking to the West End area in 20-30 minutes.
As for the hotel, my room (a standard double guest room) was fairly nice and featured an unusually large bathroom. I was really impressed by the scale of it, especially for a Hilton in London. There was a separate and huge tub, and separate shower. It was very clean and looked recently refurbished.
The room had a fridge, a decent sized TV with a good selection of channels, and the other expected amenities. The Wi-Fi was a tad slow though.
The decor of the room, and the hotel overall, was otherwise a bit dated and could use an upgrade. There is also no restaurant on site, and the bar was mostly deserted and didn't feel very inviting.
While there was no restaurant on site as such, they did offer breakfast in the morning. The buffet was actually quite good - with a decent selection, and the food was nice.
Service from staff was good, although I did not receive a room upgrade as Honors Gold.
Overall a nice stay in central London for a pretty reasonable rate.

First off, I was scared. I booked this place without reading reviews and when I did read everyone's reviews, I thought I made a mistake. I did not.
We booked a family room. It had a king size bed and roll away for our 10 year old. We had a nice closet area with shelving, a desk, in room coffee/tea and a mini fridge, as well as a table and two chairs. The bathroom was in good shape and the room was clean, looking fairly updated. The windows were double paned, as we were on the street. We could here some noise, but we are literally in a city, and that is to be expected anywhere.
The only thing that was an issue was the service in the bar. When we checked in, we had awhile until our dinner reservation (at the Fitzrovia Belle for the Buffalo Bills Thanksgiving game- GO BILLS!). We decided to have a snack and drinks. We had to repeat our order multiple time, my son ordered fries, they brought fish and chips and then when were like "no only chips" it was like their heads exploded. There were two servers and they decided to fight over what to do, since for some reason the kitchen was going to close for 30 minutes. The decided to take the fish off the plate and bring back/charge for on the chips. Brilliant! That works for us. The appetizers were cold and it took forever for the waitress to pour my husband's whiskey. When we paid, I tried to charge to the room, and the server was like "we have this email that says we can't change this to the room". Um okay, showing me an email means nothing. Then she left off our cocktails on the bill. When I told her, it was if I had called her mother a name. That experience was the worst part about our stay.
They were doing visible repair work in the hotel, there cleaners were present every day. The heat worked, we had hot water, water pressure. The front desk was helpful when my son decided to get sick at 0200 on night.
This is a nicely priced hotel in a central location - all ubers to the important stuff were 10-15 minute rides, and affordable.
I was shocked. But, it was nice, I would book the same room again. I don't know about during summer, because we love strong a/c, and I didn't see evidence of that.

I wish I had properly checked the small print with this hotel. WiFi is NOT included in the room and there is an additional £12.99 charge for access. Left a bit of a bad taste considering this is normally a standard inclusion with the many other hotels I have stayed in, so it means I probably won’t stay here again.
Room was comfortable and the bed was great. Although shower wasn’t very warm...

Ok, let's start with the positives. Staff are friendly, particularly in the bar and restaurant. The food isn't bad at all, above average when compared to other hotel chains. It's in a great location, especially for access to Euston station and the West End.
I booked a double room, which was spacious enough. I've seen people mention the single rooms and can imagine how small they must be. I would say it's a false economy as anything smaller than what I had wouldn't have been comfortable. Especially if you're from the US and used to the size of rooms you get there.
Now onto the actual room itself. My room was on the side of the main road, and I was on the third floor. The room was clean and plenty of wardrobe space. Decent sized bathroom for one person, with a good shower and decent, if small, bathroom products. You also got free bottles of water, which I always appreciate as a nice, simple touch for hotels to provide.
The reason the review is two stars? The noise was absolutely unbearable. I had a total of about two hours sleep. The hotel is near a major hospital and a church. So all night I kept getting woken up by sirens and, from about 6am, church bells ringing every fifteen minutes!! Also, the doors of the rooms slam shut very loudly, so was woken up at least twice by that.
I was told at reception that earplugs could have been requested from reception, but nowhere did it state that. It would be really simple for the hotel, surely knowing the issues with noise, to provide earplugs at check-in or in the rooms.
My stay was ruined by a terrible nights sleep, and was really pleased to be leaving the morning after.
One final thing, the WiFi charges are ridiculous! You have to be a member of Hilton Honors to get it for free.
I would say that you should only stay here if you have noise cancelling headphones, earplugs, or can sleep soundly even if you were sleeping on the street!

Hilton Euston is a brilliant and convenient place to stay, it’s proximity to Euston station as well as many major bus routes made it an ideal base for a long weekend. The hotel was very clean and well decorated, the rooms had plenty of amenities and usable sockets. The bathrooms were modern, spotless and easy to use. The staff were friendly and helpful. Plenty of COVID precautions taken and they were able to do housekeeping on request as well as facilitate using food deliveries rather than room service.

We stayed here at the beginning of September for four nights. The hotel had taken the sanitary precautions required very seriously which made our stay relaxed. The room was immaculate. We have stayed in hotels all over the world and this was the best bed/pillows ever. Room service was available on request. We changed towels once which were left outside the room. No one entered our room for the duration which was sensible in the circumstances. Front Office could not have been more helpful and were available at all times. Hand sanitisers were placed outside the lifts and face masks were expected when entering.

Travelled on business, need things to just work without complexity. Breakfast not open until 7am, which is a bit late if you need to travel onwards. Breakfast selection not as wide as I'd expect from Hilton group. The coffee machine wasn't working, and staff reported it would probably not be repaired by the next day. In room toiletries have been reduced - no shower cap, ear buds, tissues etc. With covid cleaning the in-room bottled water was not replaced. I stayed on an upper floor which had a distinct 'dirty laundry pile' smell which I felt reflected poor ventilation.
The staff were doing their best, it was clear they were pulled in several directions at the same time so its difficult to maintain customer focus.

Location is fantastic rooms spacious, very Noisy in room 220 though, no sleep on the first night, church across the road chimes every 15 mins and more on the hour between 7am and Midnight. Can hear people speaking normal outside, sirens traffic etc go all night. Sofa bed was no good for our small 14 year old daughter, very uncomfortable. Stuff could be better, asked for room change for night 2, front desk said only rooms available where on front facing and just as noisy, no apology for no sleep which I was surprised at for a Hilton. Breakfast was good not usual selection due to COVID I guess but you won’t go hungry.

Very disappointed firstly i checked in online but had to go to front desk to get digital key the system was down so this took longer than it should of then the next day i found out they took 2 times the £50 deposit amount due to a system error!they couldnt refund me i have to wait for the funds to be released back into my account. Front desk lady not helpful at all! This left me in a predicament financially taking £100 for a deposit when room was already paid in full up front 2 weeks before booking. Not a happy customer and a hilton honours customer!
Not much soap in rooms and rooms small. Very noisy from outside noise and guests entering building late at night shouting.

Hi: I’m sure that they can. They do have a secure place for luggage. I’d simply check with the desk. If he’s still there, I’d also chat with Max, the concierge. Wonderful man. Enjoy your one day trip to Paris. We did a similar trip some years ago from your same location. Easy.
Yes. You can leave bags with the concierge.
That would be worrying from any establishment whatever the rating! I’m afraid I do not use the safes anywhere I travel for this particular reason so wouldn’t know if the front desk could be an option for safekeeping, apologies. Worth a phone call if you are thinking of staying here I guess, for peace of mind.
The Bloomsbury suite is a duplex style accommodation.
There is a door downstairs that can close shut to separate the living space with the stairs that lead to the bedroom. Our daughter slept downstairs with the door closed and we slept upstairs. Hope this helps
