We were moved to this Hotel as it's sister Hotel the Radisson Blue Edwardian Grafton was not yet open. The swap was handled effectively and swiftly. Using the on line concierge we were able to check in and chose rooms, and were notified that our rooms was actually ready at 11.30 on the day of check in, all we had to do was collect the keys . This obviously cuts down waiting, but with COVID compliance being at the forefront of peoples minds, it keeps lines short and face to face interaction to a minimum - Well done Radisson. There are multiple hand sanitiser dispensers on entry to the hotel, and at the lifts on each floor, we felt very safe in the hotel. The room was a twin, decent sized room at the rear ( it was very quiet) - It was well appointed and had everything you would expect from a 4* hotel, it was cleaned every day ( some hotels are not cleaning rooms daily ) and to a very high standard. The Bathroom was spacious, with a high quality shower and linens. The Hotel is in a really nice location 2 mins from the British Museum, 2 minutes to Oxford street and an easy walk to Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, SOHO, Leicester Square. Transport links are good, with bus and tubes within an easy walk. Check out was also done remotely and effectively. Finally a thanks to the staff who were universally polite and friendly whenever they saw us. The overall quality of room, staff and location at the price we paid makes this a hard to beat option if you want to be in this area of London.

Stated for 1 night using my Expedia gold account for my wife’s birthday.

Booked a premium king room on the 5th floor and was granted an early check in which was great.

The room was facing the elevator so a lot of noise was coming our way and that was noticeable in the morning with the house keeping. No chance of a lay in.

This was compounded with the outside drilling and works that kicked off around 8ish. Felt like our bed was in the middle of the works.

Location wise it’s great as it’s right next to the British Museum and half a mile away from Covent Garden.

The room itself was clean but tired. Very small for a premium room and the bathroom was a box. Bed was really comfortable and the pillows were great.

We did not have breakfast as they were asking for £19 each so we just went to pret around the corner.

One point to be made was on the evening we went to the front desk to ask for some tea bags, she took one look at the bar/kitchen and told us to go through there and ask someone. She clearly didn’t want to help. The place was jam packed and it felt completely lazy despite the front desk being dead! So we just went without!

Probably wouldn’t come back again, described as a VIP option through Expedia but didn’t feel VIP despite the offer of £15 bar tab (which was welcome) which we mainly used up on service charge and the addition of a charity payment.

Great location, clean hotel , Room was too small, online check in a waste of time , we arrived early and asked the hotel to hold our luggage including a suit bag, when we collected our luggage the suit bag had just been thrown in a cupboard and was even handed to us screwed up! When we mentioned it they did seem to grasp that there was a suit jacket and blouse inside ! The room was clean warm but a bit small, lunch in bloomsbury kitchen was limited , no nibbles served with drinks available at all. Breakfast 2 slices of toast between 4 people is not enough 1/2 a slice each and when we ask for another round we were told yes and it never materialised . Breakfast was basic we ordered 2 fried eggs on toast , eggs came up on plate 10 minutes before our 1/2 slice of toast each buffet, no eggs , very basic you can check out on line ! Nope again waste of time

I was pleasantly surprised with this hotel. Walking in for the first time, my first impression was that it was beautifully decorated. Location was great. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They were an asset to the Hotel. The room was a tad small as was the double bed. Not ideal for more than two people but then again it is located in Central London. The bathroom was spacious I have to say.

All the staff wore mask and there were sanitisers at the reception and at strategic places. That impressed me as with the current situation I want to feel safe. One issue I think could be improved was there were guest staying at the hotel that didn’t wear mask and no one told them otherwise. I do appreciate that it’s not a law but it’s necessary to keep everyone safe. It’s just a thought.

We also ordered room service and had spicy Chicken Gyros. Beautifully presented but not spicy and was very salty. We didn’t return it but used tissues to remove as much of the salt as we could before putting it in our mouths again. After that experience we decided to get takeaways from outside. Being in such a great location there were so many different restaurants/cuisines to try.

All in all (even with a bad experience with room service) the hotel is worth staying in though I will get a bigger bed the next time I stay there. I will definitely be back.

Check in was ok but handled by a very inexperienced Trainee who should have had a buddy/mentor with him as he was out of his depth. We were on a theatre/hotel break and allocated a tiny room of approximately 12 sqm which is totally unacceptable for a supposedly four star hotel with the Blu name. Our agent had pre-advised that it was my wife's birthday and there was absolutely no acknowledgement of the at all. The bath in the room was positively dangerous and a tiny bathroom. The water was so soft that you had to spend about three times longer in the shower than normal, just to feel that the soap was off your body. The bar service in the evening was fine but the waiter had no idea what I meant when I rejected the first glass of wine as corked. The barman sorted it out very quickly with no fuss. The breakfast service, food and presentation was excellent. We have stayed in Raddison Blu hotels twice before in Cape Town and Bucharest and this was an extremely disappointing stay.

We stayed yesterday for the night, we checked in at 2.15 and on check in we was told that the only slots left for breakfast was 7.30 which I thought ( and told the receptionist) that was ridiculous to be given that time especially after a late night ( the reason we stayed up London) she said we could have room service with an additional cost of £1.50 but after a comment from myself she said she would waiver it
I said to her if the case was breakfast was going to be in slot times then we should have been advised of this prior to our arrival so we could book our own slots but in the end she did ask the manager of the restaurant and got us a 8am booking, when we got in there, there was a quite a few empty tables. The breakfast was ok usual food not a lot of fresh fruit, no cheese, ham etc or any choices of bread maybe that was because of COVID and really for £26 I think I would have been upset if I would have paid that extra as ours came in with the booking
We did get upgraded to a room on the top floor I think it was classed as a executive business suite, it was very nice it a bit dated but we were happy with it.
The staff were lovely very helpful
You are a 5 min walk to Oxford street and Tottenham Court Road we picked this hotel as we were going to see Prince of Egypt at the Dominion theatre so it was ever so handy staying there
I don’t think I would stay there again but you live and learn x

We enjoyed our one night last minute stay at the Radisson Bloomsbury Street. In particular, the staff were very responsive booking a cab to the airport and directing us to the closest DHL office so that we could send off a package. In these days of staffing shortages everywhere, it was a relief to arrive to find the extra rollaway already in place and an extremely clean room to boot. The breakfast room was lovely, staff diligent (no request was too much) and we all enjoyed the buffet breakfast with eggs on request. Great location super close to the British Museum and numerous parks. The only negative would be that the room doors are really loud when they slam shut and the walls between rooms are relatively thin. Would stay again.

Dear KimofOZ, Thank you very much for staying with us and sharing your kind words. A stone-throw away from the lovely neighbourhood of Covent Garden, Oxford Street & West End our location is indeed ideal for a London short break and thank you again for recommending us.   We appreciate your feedback on the breakfast room - or Bloomsbury Street Kitchen restaurant, which was part of our ground floor refurbishment. Thank you also for your kind comments on our team preparing your room for arrival to enjoy your short break in London. I have already asked our maintenance team to review all soft closers on the bedroom doors to ensure we have no doors that close with any noise. We all look forward to welcoming you back many more times and hope you will also be able to try our contemporary Japanese and Mediterranean Restaurant for dinner on your next stay.  With kind regards Patrick Katzenberg General Manager

Stayed in a premium room was great and huge bathroom compared to photos which was a pleasant surprise. The £15 credit for drinks was a nice touch but frustrating that the bar didn't open until 5. It would have been nice to get a drink straight after check in. Ice machine on the floor also not working. Air con seemed to turn itself up and down temperature and speeds which meant the room was hard to get to a comfortable temperature. All the amenities were top quality with plenty pillows, bath robes and slippers, umbrella etc. Room was spotlessly clean and covid secure too.

We had to book breakfast at check in and the only times available were 7:30 or 10:30 despite checking just after 3:30 so this was quite restrictive. Unfortunately when we arrived at breakfast the poor staff looked rushed off their feet and understaffed with nearly all the tables filled with leftover plates, food and drinks. Not a great first impression. The quality of the food was excellent, we were informed of the buffet but the table next to us pointed out there was a wider selection of extra food which is made to order which we weren't made aware of (perhaps because of the extra pressure on the staff). We had to call the staff over to request toast and made to order items but considering if someone was to pay for breakfast on its own at £26 per person you would expect better service. Lovely hotel but a few tweaks could easily improve the overall experience.

The hotel itself is a nice hotel in a great location in London. The food is great but unfortunately what ruins the whole experience is the lack of staff who speak English and so trying to communicate needs for your stay is an absolute nightmare. The first morning we sat down for breakfast at our booked time slot and waited 15 minutes for cutlery after asking 4 members off staff who did not understand the request for a knife and fork. The food was nice but everyone around us was having the same problem with the staff. There were plenty of staff running around but nobody knowing what they are doing. We then canceled out second mornings breakfast and got told we can have room service free of charge. We ordered the breakfast that night night for the following morning which took almost half an hour to communicate to the guy that we wanted a normal English breakfast and one without sausage and mushrooms but extra bacon in place. We then received our breakfast at 9am to fins that they charged us for room service and brought up two plates with just hash browns, beans and bacon. As you can imagine not what you want when you want to stay in bed with an easy breakfast. It then took till about 10am to finally get what we ordered and then had to be out by 11. Overall stay was good but the service was terrible.
