The St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London comes highly recommended for its cleanliness and majestic atmosphere that fuses historical grandeur with modern comforts. While some guests have called out the hotel's staff for inconsistent service, many applaud the attentive and professional nature of the team. Room opinions vary, as some find them to be spacious havens, yet others point to noise and maintenance issues. The hotel's amenities, including fine dining and the exclusive Chambers Club, generally receive high marks. Its central location earns rave reviews, though several guests question the value, feeling the experience does not justify the premium pricing.

Stayed here for one night on 1st December. The hotel is very impressive from the outside and the reception area is lovely too.
I was staying with a small Pomeranian dog. I had decided to stay here as it was rated 4/10 on the website ‘visit london’ for the top 10 best dog friendly hotels in London. On the website it states that on arrival your dog will receive ‘a woof box of doggy goodies’. On check in i wasn’t offered anything for my dog so i queried this, the lady checking us in had never heard of it, so went to check with someone and came back stating they had stopped doing this. Instead we were given a bed, and two huge dog bowls (so big he could actually sit in it), this wasn’t necessary as we had already bought our own with us.
We stayed in the barlow wing, nice enough but have to admit i was expecting a bit more from this hotel and for the price i paid. The room could of been inside any hotel any where. It was clean and smart but nothing special and lacked character.
In the morning i wanted to take my dog outside to the toilet, i was told the hotel didn’t have its own garden so a member of reception staff struggled to think of anywhere i could take my dog. We ended up just having to walk round the streets for him to go to the toilet.
Breakfast was lovely and it was so nice to be able to take my dog with me into the restaurant.
On check out the lady tried to charge me £50 for a pet sanitation fee, on booking i had been told the dog was free to stay, then i rang back to confirm this and was told i had to pay £50, so i complained, the manager then emailed me saying the hotel would cover this cost as he said he listened back to the conversation where i had been told dogs were free. No note of this had been added to my booking. The receptionist required proof of this to be emailed to her, thankfully i still had this email as it had been booked in July.
Overall, our stay was pleasant, however i do not feel this hotel is ideal for dogs.
There should be a small garden or courtyard area for dogs to use the toilet.
The information on ‘Visit London’ should also be removed as it is incorrect.
Im happy i can say ive stayed here, but i doubt i will return, definitely not with my dog

We recently visit St Pancras for our 3rd time. Absolutely love the architecture, the hotel itself is beautiful, Unfortunately it’s has been let down by the customer service side of things. We stayed in a Grand Junior Suite, beautiful room, high ceilings. However at around 8pm after a lovely meal at the Gilbert Scott restaurant we discovered there was no hot water, rather than moving us immediately to a higher grade room (which were available) the hotel was half empty. We were promised the water would return within 10 minutes... 75 minutes later we finally were offered a room next door, and a bottle of Prosecco for our trouble. Unfortunately it ruined the whole evening for us, all the wating about, then finally having to move. When you paying £400 a night for a room you should expect a hot bath.
Secondly the breakfast the following morning was a real let down, I’ve visited the Renaissance countless times for breakfast but it was really poor. I understand there our COVID restrictions but it doesn’t mean the food choice/quality should be as poor as it was.
Finally on check out, I mentioned about the room change and that we weren’t happy with the whole escapade, however the manager blamed COVID somehow for there being a lack of hot water in a £400 5 Star Room. We we offered a few Marriott points after insisting we weren’t happy. Rather upset as I’m a Gold Tier Member of Marriott and a returning guest. I will use the hotel again as it’s absolutely stunning but let’s hope we have a better experience next time.

The hotel itself it’s really really big, with different quarters depending on what part you wanted to book.

They have a afternoon tea kind of area, a restaurant amongst other areas.

We walked in and were greeted by a lovely lady who couldn’t have been more helpful and as I mentioned we were here because of The Spice Girls filming Wannabe she went on to tell us how much she loved The Spice Girls and proceeded to take us on a tour and a chat for about 30 mins telling us the history and her love of the group. This is a great addition to our stay.

Bags are taken up for you if you arrive earlier than check in time.

Room had a TV, King size bed, connections for phone to TV, bath/shower and free shampoo/conditioner/shower gel/ tissues/ magazines/ soap/ shower cap.

Only thing I will say negative is hotels never just supply a small toothpaste on arrival.
This goes for most hotels and not just this one

The famous stairs were amazing to look at and plenty of people taking pictures on there. There is also a Piano at the side to play.

I had a wonderful experience here and would stay again in a heartbeat.

Open and still amazing, I have just spent my second weekend this month at the hotel. Despite the hotel services not being fully operational at present, the level of customer service is excellent. The quality of food and beverages is not impacted on the service given should be highly recommended.

My room was immaculate as was the rest of the hotel. The attention to detail with regards to Covid was high giving me a sense of safety and peace. Alcohol wipes and gel were accessible wherever you went and clearly visible.

Despite the limited services that are currently available at the hotel it did not impact my stay whatsoever and staff went out of their way to make sure that any needs that I had were met and expediently. The level of service has not been impacted which was one of my fears.

as a regular visitor to the hotel I cannot wait for it to be back to full capacity and to see it filled with gas again. Such a beautiful building with great on Beyoncé especially if you have interesting architecture. Do you think that this Hotel was within 10 days of being demolished before it was made a grade 1 listed building is astonishing.

I cannot recommend it highly if you’re looking for a choice of a place to stay in London with the opportunity to visit this hotel.

Have stayed here quite a few times over as many years and always love coming back; just walking up to the building puts a smile on my face and my, what a building!
Greeted at reception warmly by a pair of receptionists who genuinely showed interest and clearly were about to do something else but when they saw us arrive (note, not even waiting just walking towards reception). The rooms in the new Barlow House bit are lovely, whilst the original building has SO MUCH character and interesting details. Love the Chambers (exec) lounge l, where there are genuinely real hosts as opposed to individuals just tidying tables; I.e. people who engage and make you feel welcome. Nice food and drinks. Location works as sitting on top of an underground station with loads of connections. Stayed at the JW Grosvenor Square the night before, which is lovely too but St. Pancras wins every time for me. Can’t wait to come back.

Just finished another really nice New Years Eve and New Years stay at St Pancras Renaissance hotel in London, with my young family, who loves the history of the building.

The hotel is attached to St Pancras International and next to Kings Cross station, making it easy to travel into London via train, but we chose to drive, as there is parking directly outside the hotel and it's easier with young twin boys.

As we parked outside, Alexis was there immediately to take our car keys and bags, whilst escorting us to reception for check in. Miguel and Vasco, provided a very warm greeting, making us feel welcomed for our stay. As we booked via our app, one of our two connecting rooms was already available. Both rooms were clean and tidy.

Whilst our rooms were comfortable, we spent a reasonable amount of time in the club lounge, which has a good offering of food and beverage, in a relaxed calm environment. It was nice to see the Exec Lounge Mgr Dan again, who never fails to make us feel at home, from home and was an instant hit with our children. As we travel for work and stay in hotels every week, we appreciate Dan's naturally high level of customer care and recognise how far beyond the extra mile it actually extends. This rubs off on the rest of the team, Alexandra, Milana and Jared who are all highly professional, yet warm and personable, remembering the names of our family and all guests. You left feeling happy on each visit.

New years breakfast was taken in the booking office, which is a trendy hall, with lots of character. They offer a good range of cereals, fruit, plus hot and cold options to suit our vegetarian diets and our twins varying choices. There was a young server, from Bulgaria who despite being very busy, was kind enough to talk with our boys about their Yu-gi-oh cards, which made their morning.

My wife and twin boys loved the feeling of a santuary in their St Pancras Spa, located in the basement. It has a small pool, gym, Jacuzzi, steam room and a separate sauna in the changing rooms.

Whilst there are so many positive features I could write about this hotel, it's actually the staff that stood out for us, as being really friendly. Each time we walked via the lobby Miguel, Vasco and Annachiara, would always greet us with a smile, with Annachiara even allowing me to practice my Italian. Grazie.

On departure our family had the warmest farewell, from Alexandra in the lounge and Alexis, at the entrance.

Thank you to Dan and all the St Pancras Renaissance hotel staff, for another amazing stay with good memories. We look forward to visiting again in 2020.

I have to say I found my stay at the St Pancras Renaissance to be a bit underwhelming.

With such a beautiful exterior I expected all the rooms to be carefully decorated in a similar style but found instead a bland, bog-standard hotel room with furniture 20+ years old. We stayed in room 505 and although the cleanliness couldn't be faulted our shower was luke warm for the first 10 minutes of every shower, the fridge in the room was not working properly meaning the drinks it in were also tepid and the safe in the room was broken.

As it was so quiet we were limited to the Hansom dining room, which is basically the foyer. The food was fine, the drinks were good but just basic good pub standard.

Our breakfast on the last morning of our stay was disastrous with my husband given coffee made with rancid milk, his meal of poached eggs and avocado on toast was stone cold, the avocado had no seasoning and the bread wasn't toasted - I had a second pot of tea and the milk again had to be returned as it was off; the access cards to our room stopped working that morning before we had checked out and to be frank the whole experience left a bit of a bad taste.

We came here as part of our honeymoon and found it to be a pretty disappointing experience overall, despite the best efforts of the staff working there. Maybe our expectations were too high but honestly I couldn’t recommend a stay here for the price.

I sent this feedback to the hotel when we got home and have had no reply.

Dear sharonrC2416KC, Thank you for choosing to stay at the St. Pancras Renaissance Hotel London and providing your honest feedback on your most recent stay with us. Providing the highest level of hospitality is our number one priority and we sincerely apologize for falling short of meeting your expectations. Whilst we are glad to hear that you have enjoyed the hotel's architecture, we are saddened to hear of your disappointment with your room, which was located in our contemporary Barlow House. We would like to apologize for the difficulties you experienced in the room. Did you have a chance to report this to one of the members of staff who assisted you throughout your stay, to come to a suitable solution? Further, we would like to offer our profuse apologies for your breakfast experience, which we would like to assure you is not the typical style of service our guests may expect from us. We are grateful that you have taken the time to share your valued feedback with us, which we have shared with the respective management team for further investigation, to make sure that this will not happen again in the future. Whilst we would understand that you may be hesitant to return to the hotel, we do hope that we will have the pleasure of welcoming you back to us in the future, I know the team has now also reached out to you with the offer for direct assistance and to offer a complimentary upgrade to one of our Chambers Suites, located in the historical part of the building, which we hope you may find more enjoyable. Thank you again for your valuable feedback and we hope to serve you again whenever your travels bring you back to London. Sincerely, Anne

Standard rooms in the Barlow wing are new build and the same as any Marriott anywhere. To get into the rooms with views of the Euston Road or Station Concourse, you need to have a premium room with Chambers access.
We took the Gilbert Scott Suite to watch the rugby. This gives you a luxury bedroom and bath with view of the Euston Road plus a huge dining room with a table seating at least 10 and some absolutely splendid walls, ceilings and windows.
From the service point of view, the score is realistically only 7 for the price you are paying. Our first room keys didn't work, a staff member repeatedly knocked at the door asking to come in while I was taking a bath (despite the Do Not Distrurb sign) and the service on the Chambers Club ranged from excellent to somewhat shouty. I witnessed an unfortunate couple getting a massive telling off from a well over-pompous male server for daring to sit at a table for four.

Three nights in London on business so I chose this hotel based on location primarily with all the obvious transport links. There were some frustrations at first as they have 'upgraded' their room key system and lots of people, including me, were having problems with their key cards. At first I thought it was going to really be a nuisance but the staff couldn't have been more helpful and professional. Kudos to Benjamin who seemed to have infinite patience and to the young lady who was duty manager when 'key gate' was at its height. The room was huge and access to the Chambers suite allowed me to do some work in peace and quiet with attentive, professional staff. I was late for breakfast one morning and the gentleman in the chambers volunteered some cereal and breakfast items.
Although it is a beautiful location it was the staff who managed to make the stay better than average - well done to them.

Had the pleasure of an overnight stay for my and my wife's 70th birthdays in the hotels Chambers Suite with complimentary afternoon tea and pre-dinner canapes, tea, coffee as well as beer and wines throughout the day between 3.00pm and 10.00pm. with breakfast the following morning. From our initial welcoming registration to leaving we had the most enjoyable and relaxing time. We were given a tour of the hotel, shown to our spacious room and on suite, introduced to the Chambers Suite staff all of whom were friendly, at-tentative, courteous and saw to all our needs however small. When we explored around the hotel again staff were very friendly, every where was spotlessly clean and the main staircase is stunning. The Chambers Suite guests are offered a Bath Ritual where staff fill your bath at your preferred time with bubbles and arrange a board with spa products and drinks, my wife just loved the relaxing soak. We had the most memorable time and hope in the near future we can return for another break

Yes they have interconnecting rooms. We last stayed on the 5th floor of Barlow wing and there was an interconnecting door (locked for our stay). There is a box on the booking form allowing you to request this type of accommodation under special requests.

Hello, sorry I know nothing about this service and we do stay at the Renaissance hotel at least once each year. There are two young gentlemen employed by the hotel to help with luggage, they will store or take to your room. Think you need to ask for help once you arrive. Hope you have a great stay.

I had an email 5 days before my booking. This was booked via the Marriott website however. That said, you can just call the hotel and they can confirm for you on the phone.
