We got a deal on groupon which had 1 night stay evening meal and breakfast
Having stayed in the Orlando hotel Iknew what to expect and was not let down the service is some of the best I've had and even with all the social distancing measures still has the same vibe as before .
For anyone visiting London it's location opposite Marble Arch makes it a very good location for both the sight seeing tourist or shopper
The rooms are a good size with bathroom ,with bath and with in the walldrobe is ironing board /iron and robes for your afterbath chill out .
The bed was very comfy and location in room 6111 was perfect no out side noise and the perfect location to chill .
The wall tv has everything you need for entertainment with options and information about your room and times of meals .
When you get your room card it is also your access to the lifes and they will not work without it as you have to scan your card then choose your floor very easy
Overall we are looking to return another time as we enjoyed our stay

We got off to a bad start as unfortunately trying to get hold of the hotel was very difficult. I emailed three different email addresses with a query and didn’t get a response, we then needed to amend our booking and spent over an hour on hold on 2 occasions. It turned out that the quickest way to get a response was through Facebook messenger.
The hotel itself is huge and really impressive with lots of interesting memorabilia to look at throughout the lobby area.
The room was nice and spacious although a little basic in comparison to the rest of the hotel. The bed was super comfy and the shower was great. Toiletries and bottled water were provided and we enjoyed the different music available through the Hard Rock TV channels.
We used the Travelzoo deal including dinner and it was amazing value, we were really impressed with how much was included for the price (£149 for 2 people for a superior room, breakfast and dinner in the Hard Rock Cafe from a set menu).
Breakfast was great with lots of choice at the buffet including hot food and pastries, and pancakes/waffles/omelettes can be ordered fresh.
The location is great for exploring London, right at the end of Oxford street and next to Marble Arch. We walked to Hyde Park, Buckingham Palace and other places across the city.
I love visiting Hard Rock Hotels and would definitely return, particularly with the Travelzoo voucher.

Stayed here for three nights in a Deluxe Queen room. Take advantage of online deals as the desk rate can be expensive per night.
Housekeeping quality was poor , we had an occasion when the room wasn’t serviced despite asking three people to manage it.
Front desk service is prett good , and JoNo is a great asset.
Be aware there is NO PARKING at the hotel , and the nearest public parking charges £50.00 per day.
Breakfast is plentiful , the tea and coffee are in self-serve jugs theres no machines. Takes a while to work that one out.....!
Otherwise a good vibe in a lively hotel , not open long and needs a few edges ironing out.

We had booked through booking.com & when we arrived the receptionist seemed concerned as the family rooms were overbooked, we in turn were concerned there would be no room for us! Thankfully, she sorted it out & we got the room we booked with 2 large double beds. We were able to leave our cases with the concierge whilst we went to do some sightseeing until the room was ready. The location of this hotel is brilliant right by Oxford St & Hyde park & right above Marble Arch Tube station. Very convenient.

As we entered the hotel I could smell sewerage straight away, but they were trying to disguise the smell with some kind of incense or spray, it was not doing a great job, the smell wafted throughout the lobby. None of the staff made reference to the smell, acting as though it didn’t exist.

We stayed on the first floor & with the window open could hear all the hustle and bustle from Oxford st below. The soundproofing is excellent as with the window closed we couldn’t hear a thing. There is air conditioning in the room which was a plus for us. The room was perfectly fine, there was a fridge we could use & tea/coffee making facilities as well as an iron & hairdryer. Beds were very comfy, although the pillows were too soft for my liking.

The bathroom, very modern & with lots of soaps/shampoos etc, however it could have been much cleaner, the door to it is glass and on one side was filthy, the bath also could have been cleaner. Some of the workmanship seemed shoddy.

On the day we arrived we noticed in the corridor on the way to our room there was some powder on the carpet, but the time we left 2 days later that powder was still there.

The staff were all very nice, but I noted that every single one we met was not a Londoner, which I found strange in a London hotel.

We had breakfast which was a buffet however due to COVID the staff walked along with you & put your food on your plate, this meant there was a pretty big queue most of the time, but the staff were doing the best they could in the circumstances. There was a lot of choice, both hot & cold continental, also if you ask for them the waitress will have pancakes or waffles made and brought to your table.

We also had dinner in the Hard Rock Cafe, this was very disappointing & I would not recommend you waste your time or money here. The food was nothing better than overly priced pub grub. We only had 1 child meal & 2 adult main meals, no alcohol, to find the cost over £80!

Overall our stay here was fine, the location great, but it was nothing special.

I don’t recommend using booking.com to book for here as I looked at prices on the hotel website and now realise we could have paid less, however that’s my fault for not researching better.

We stayed for a Saturday night in October.

Checkin felt a little chaotic, waiting for a free attendant and then lots of to and fro with apparent system problems. We were able to checkin shortly after 3 but heard others being to come back later.

The lifts were an experience, having to scan your card and enter a floor on the wall, then being told which lift. Again, on the floor the signposting and numbering felt a little confused but we found our family room which faced the street, just over the main entrance.

Our family room was a little small but very modern and stylish and had two queen sized beds which were super comfortable with good quality bedding. Lots of storage, a good TV with lots of channels and apps, and a supply of towels, bedding etc.

The bathroom was well fitted and lots of toiletries as well as a large walk-in shower. It would have been nice to have a rain shower but there was plenty of hot water and good pressure in the evening although in the morning there was Luke warm water.

We ate at the cafe which we’d booked on line and it was a pleasant experience.

Breakfast, which was included, was also in the cafe and was a generous buffet with everything you’d expect including cereals, pastries and the usual hot items as well as smoked salmon and cold cuts. The juices were real juice rather than the usual squash.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. It wasn’t cheap at £270 but the location can’t be bettered and overall we felt it better value than others in the area.

Formerly known as the Cumberland Hotel, the main attraction of this hotel is its prime location on Oxford Street which is a haven for shopping fanatics.

Being a new hotel, the furnishings are all new and guarantees a pleasant stay. Even the elevators were fast. The rooms are spacious by London standards but it's the bathroom where things are odd.

For example, there is no soap dish near the was basin. The shower stall has no metal bar to hold on in case you slipped inside, and no ledge to place any shampoo or toiletries. It's literally an empty glass box.

Kudos to the staff during the breakfast buffet, they do try their best to smile and provide prompt service.

Except for shopping, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to other types of travellers. Being in a 'posh' area means there are no supermarkets or affordable eateries nearby. In fact, most of the guests on my floor ordered room service and I didn't want that.

Booked through Secret Escapes , paid £180 for one night with access to the rock royalty lounge .
Best city break value we’ve ever experienced , staff were exceptional from start to finish . We arrived very early but were offered a drink and able to leave bags while we went out to see the sights .
Arrived back before the 3pm check in time but room ready . Room was compact but had everything we needed including a free mini bar ( part of the rock royalty package ) a Nespresso machine and a bath , I always find a bath preferable to a shower to soak weary limbs after seeing the sights ! Excellent sound proofing and blackout curtains meant for a good nights sleep even though the hotel is situated in a busy area at the top of Oxford St and opposite Marble Arch and Hyde Park . What really made the trip was the rock royalty package which enabled us to use the lounge and indulge in free drinks and delicious food from the Hard Rock menu , meaning we didn’t spend any money on dining out and therefore had more money for shopping ! All the standard drinks were available including wines ,beer , gin , soft drinks and tea /coffee . Staff couldn’t do enough for us and the all areas are exceptionally clean with constant cleaning / sanitising visible . We were also able to check out an hr later at no extra charge as I’d been to Parkrun and was pushed for time .
We honestly couldn’t fault the stay , in fact it was so great we’ve managed to book again on the same Secret Escapes deal for November , when Winter Wonderland will be on in Hyde Park !
Oh and the hotel is right opposite the huge Primark and close to all the other higher end stores if Primark isn’t your thing !
Well done to all the staff and management , this is how a hotel experience should be ! I’ve paid a lot more for hotel stays and not been treated nearly so well .

FYI- my rating is based on a short stay.

I had the opportunity to visit London during a recent birthday trip for one of my friends, and we were booked at The Hard Rock. Overall, it's a nice hotel, but pricey for what you get.

For the most part the hotel staff was friendly and polite. Two gentlemen were a bit of a turn off; not even sure exactly what their roles are. The check in and check out process was quick and easy. The rooms were clean. We stayed in a family room, which although spacious, was the size of a standard hotel room in the USA. I like their elevator system, which requires you to scan your hotel key card and then it assigns you a elevator. It adds an extra layer of security for guests. The hotel itself is quiet. It embraces its music theme, by incorporating bits and pieces of current and legendary artists into every aspect of it. The food is overpriced. PS, if you're travelling from the US, keep in the mind the USD is more than the British Pound, as such a $16 burger is really $20. Just a reminder when purchasing items. If ordering room service, they do charge a service fee and a tray fee. If you want to eat outside of the hotel, there are a few places nearby. Please note though, most places close around 10 or 11. Its also located near one of the bus tours pick up locations.

There really isn't any negatives about this hotel. Outside of our room and the front area, we did not explore the hotel.

Would I recommend it? Sure, check it out. Would I go back? Depends. Since I did not cook this trip, I'm not sure if it's the best in the area. As such, given that alone, yes.

Two more tips:
1. At check out, double check your bill. One staff, tried to recharge us again for our room stay. Though it was rectified, just pay attention to your bill.

2. If traveling around by Uber, be sure the Uber driver has the correct address. On our first night, the driver couldn't find our hotel. He then pulled over about a block away, cancelled the trip, but still charged us.

We were fortunate enough to live the lives of Rock Royalty Legends for a weekend in celebration of our 20th Wedding Anniversary and were truly spoilt rotten by the fabulous staff at Hard Rock Hotel London!

After some sightseeing we arrived at the Hard Rock Hotel on Great Cumberland Pl, to be greeted by our fabulous mixologist Callum, ready and waiting with sangria and nibbles, all set for a fun filled cocktail masterclass! We had such a great time and couldn’t have hoped for better! The birthday boy (Callum) was a true pro and made us feel extremely at ease as he accommodated our every wish and taught us a few handy tricks too!

We were then guided to the VIP Lounge to check in, where a very friendly and informative Eveline kindly welcomed us by popping open a bottle of fizz and filled up our glasses with some bubbles!

We headed up to our suite where truffles, fresh fruit and another bottle of bubbly awaited us! The room was extremely spacious, tastefully decorated, played fantastic music through the sensor triggered tvs and offered a good supply of toiletries available in both bathrooms.
The mini bar in our suite was complimentary, as well as the unlimited drinks and snacks in the VIP Lounge that are included as part of The Rock Royalty Junior Suite Gold package.

We could’ve sat up all night watching the magical views of a never sleeping Park Lane and a glowing Marble Arch from our window, we just wish we could’ve stayed longer!

Breakfast was had next to one of Elvis Presley’s wild looking faux fur coats, we drank drinks alongside Freddie Mercury’s very own Kirkwood piano and we devoured our delicious evening meal, from the inclusive Mayfair Menu, whilst being entertained by fantastic live classic rock music!

We were utterly star struck by the amount of iconic memorabilia around the hotel and every minute detail was themed just perfectly throughout!

The only downside for us now, is that we’ll struggle to find an experience as amazing as The Rock Royalty Junior Suite Gold offered (which we’ve fallen in love with) that is the same great value for money and that will also accommodate us as a family of four on future trips to London with our two children in tow.

We definitely left the hotel safe in the knowledge that we celebrated our anniversary in style and did it to the max!

Thanks so much to all the staff that made it such a memorable stay for us with their thoughtful little gestures throughout our visit! We hope to do it all again very soon!

So all that’s left to say, in the words of Hendrix, is “Excuse us while we kiss the sky!”

Ruth & Mike
