Stayed here this Friday for my partners birthday, and was bitterly disappointed. Was made to que in the wrong que and then when we asked if it was correct we was told no, but then not shown where to que. the lady just walked off. When we then checked in, the lady did NOT greet us, and basically ignored us for a good 10 minutes. Then when she served someone behind us we interrupted to ask if we could check in. This was the first time she acknowledged us, but still didn't just on it. I then had to pay and was just handed a key and told 10th floor, not told room number or how to get there. We made our way to the room, and for a superior room it wasn't great, as for your wet room. ( I took photos) I am not sure who designed the falls in the hotel but good job we didn't leave our clothes on the floor, the water ran to the far side of the room by the sink and not down the drain, the pictures I have are from the next morning. Also changing the shower head settings, it just pulsed rather than a constant flow. We then headed out for our planned night, and when we finished, tried to get access to the bar which we were quickly denied. We then went to the 24 hour bar, which we had to walk back outside to get too!! which is a joke when we are staying at your hotel, the bouncers on the door were miserable and not the politest, so we had half a drink and took then up to our room. Oh your music channel doesn't work on the TV either, which is just fab when we are getting ready for a night out in London!! next morning, I knew (only because of the online booking) that we had to check out at 11, your woman on the desk DID NOT tell us this. we were down around 5 to 11 (had paid for breakfast) to then be told they had finished serving. Again something we was NOT told on checking in. Wasn't even asked how our stay was. EXTREAMLY DISSAPOINTED and real shame as it was for my partners birthday. such a shame. I am a manager in the sales sector and work in hospitality part time and would be sacked if I dealt with my customers in this way.

Gorgeous rooms ,nice location spoiled by the staff and mistakes . I arrived Saturday after a long stressful journey to be told we were too early to check into rooms so we could sort out the paperwork and leave our bags and check in later . At 18.00 we were given a key only to find it opened a room which already had people in it and all their stuff / suitcases open ( which if I was them I would most displeased ) Thankfully management apologised and gave us a suite instead which we were most greatful for . The thankfulness soon turned to despair when I realised I had been given the wrong bag by a staff member and that I had someone else’s bag full of designer clothes and my bag containing jewellery and my laptop were missing . Thankfully in reception the other couple who had their bag mixed up with mine were there also complaining , so we exchanged bags and so I got my valuables back . Fast foward to Sunday night at 21-30 when after an evening meal with my family ,4 of us I’ve decided to use the hotel bar and were told that we had to book and would not be allowed up at all even though we were guests at the hotel . I complained to reception who told me they were not in charge of the bar and who goes up but the door staff / guy . I cannot believe you can’t use the bar in your own hotel where you are staying paying good money as a guest and this to me is unacceptable . If you like good nice clean rooms bit your luggage lost and keys that open other peoples rooms and not allowed into your own hotel stay here or not . Sorry but you’ve lost myself and my friends custom In future

*This hotel does not even deserve 1 star, unfortunately , that wasn't an option. *My niece and I had saved and dreamed of taking this trip for many years. Even though both of us had our vaccinations, my niece contracted Covid 19 day 2 of our trip to London. * Could be a possibility that the dreaded disease was contacted from this hotel after seeing the uncleanliness and not one staff member wearing any kind of mask or seeing absolutely not an ounce of social distancing. Even though there were signs everywhere. To make a long story short, here are just a few things we had to deal with: *When I first found out my niece was sick, I went to talk to the manager, Frank. I explained to him that we were two women in a completely different country and we were worried because we had no one to help us. Oh, he was so nice. He said for us not to worry about one single thing and that he would make sure he would contact each day for our needs. Only to never hear from him again, even when we tried to contact him. Thanks Frank. You are the kind of manager every hotel needs! *Absolutely 0 customer service. Remember, we weren't allowed out of our room. The staffs reply to everything we ask was "We don't provide that service here." *Rude staff ESPECIALLY after they realized we were in quarantine. *No one at the front desk, guest services or housekeeping would answer our calls. Even after asking, we NEVER received cleaning supplies (now remember COVID was involved here and I really wanted to sanitize the room.) *Our Laundry was NEVER returned which contained our only pairs of pajamas. Which meant, we literally had to sleep in our clothes. We asked them many times to please try and locate them. Never received a response. *Every single day we got a phone call to come down and pick up our food order (hello people, we are in quarantine here!" Oh, and of course, never once did they offer to supply us with any kind of food, snack, drink etc. * Even though no one would answer our calls, we received a phone call from a manager to remind us that we were not allowed out of our rooms and that he had been told by a member of staff that one of us was seen outside visiting with someone! Are you kidding me! We were scared to death to open our door much less go down the elevator and into the lobby after all of the health and government emails and phone calls of warnings. *We were treated like diseased criminals, not just neglected but totally ignored and dealing with the rudest, most uncaring staff I have ever come across. *I could go on for pages! We had to quarantine in that hell hole for 10 days! I would compare this hotel to a "Motel 6" in the U.S. and for anyone that knows what kind of hotel that is, you will completely understand our horror. I cannot believe this place is even open to the public, (well, actually there must be a super sky bar because those are the only clients whom the staff catered too. Even taking up two out of three of the elevators. Seriously, I can not warn people enough! This hotel made our entire vacation (even worse than COVID itself) a horrifying traumatic experience that could have been completed averted if someone in this hotel would have given us an ounce of help! Maybe a larger room, or a better view, we would have paid the difference, or perhaps clean towels and sheets each day. Any little act of concern or kindness would have made this easier on us. The stress that this place caused us is unbelievable. Not to mention the small fortune we spent on this vacation! Aren't there hotel police or someone checking on these kind of places? We did everything we were suppose to, vaccines, wearing our mask, constantly washing our hands and then we walk right into a very crowded hotel lobby where no one was following any of the rules of Covid. Hind sight I wish we would have turned around and went to another hotel. But then again, we were two women in a strange country. No one, not even a person who wasn't sick, should ever be treated like we were treated. We had no help at all. Seriously, if we would have died in the room, they wouldn't have known it until they could smell our dead bodies. I know this all sounds so dramatic but that is exactly what it was! Shame on you Dorsett Hotel. You give London a bad name!

This hotel has left me with mixed feelings, some excellent and some abysmal. To start with the reception staff are worse than useless, from checking in to general enquiries I have never seen people who care less about the job they have. This part of the hotel needs attention ASAP, you'd nearly think you took there last sweet out of the bag on them. The room was fine with a lovely modern bathroom which was serviced and cleaned each day. I did notice the door staff controlling access to the bar on the upper level but they had a smile and a laugh with you and seemed genuinely decent people. A real gem are the team serving breakfast, very polite and welcoming which was very refreshing. Nothing was a problem and any orders arrived within a timely manner, the food was also top notch. The bar staff at the ground level again were brilliant, very pleasant and attentive. It's a pity about the reception staff, I would invest in training here and then constantly monitor performance as they must have poor leadership to be so bad. The hotel itself is very close to two tube stations which is handy depending on which line you want to use and also a couple of convenience stores are close by if needed.

Long wait at reception Room small and this was a Deluxe premier inn rooms a twice the size The lobby is taken over by bouncers for the roof top bar Which you will have to book There is another bar and restaurant for guests to use but we came back in the earl hours and you have to queue in the side street to get in ,no thanks im a paying customer staying in the hotel We were rudely woken @ 9am by a cleaner when check out is 11am what s that all about We booked a city view room ended up on the 3 rd floor looking at the side of the church And the building site Nice shower Small double bed Rude staff Wont be coming back Should of read the reviews
