This place is in an ideal location, has very relaxing and quiet spaces and really friendly staff! Nidal, Sona and Ionut made us feel at home right away! The room had everything we needed and was very stylish. The storage below the bed is ideal and the sparking and normal water available on the floor is a nice touch. Highly recommend this place!

My brother and I have stayed at Inhabit, Southwick Street, several times now, and were very impressed with the level of service provided by Telvina and all of the reception staff, they were always super friendly and welcoming, and would assist us with all of our queries. Before our recent stay, we made a request about the room we would be staying in, and Telvina went out of her way to ensure our request was met. It was a joy to stay here. We were allocated a spacious room that accommodated our 4 bags, and having a heated bathroom floor in winter was a real bonus. The hotel is in walking distance from Paddington Station & the Heathrow Express, and even closer to the shops on Edgeware Road, and Hyde Park is not too far away. We recommend staying at this Hotel, as it is reasonably priced, close to Paddington Station and several Tube Lines, and has staff who provide great customer service.

We had a great 4-night stay at the Inhabit Southwick Street! Very good value for London. The staff were so kind and helpful throughout the visit. The Cozy Rooms are small but well-designed with under-bed storage for your suitcase and the bathroom amenities smell AMAZING!

Gym is small but has a Peloton and weights and lots of room for yoga or stretching.

Location is super close to Paddington Station where the Heathrow Express comes in, so that was an additional lucky surprise!

Dear Lana, Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're thrilled to hear that you had a great 4-night stay at Inhabit Southwick Street and found it to be good value for your time in London. It’s fantastic that our staff made such a positive impression on you! We take great pride in providing warm, helpful service, and we're glad to hear that this contributed to your overall experience. We’re also pleased that you found our Cozy Rooms well-designed despite their compact size. Our goal is to make the most of the space with smart solutions like under-bed storage, and we're delighted you appreciated the bathroom amenities as well—hearing that you loved their fragrance is a nice bonus! It’s great to hear you enjoyed our gym facilities as well. While the space is modest, we aim to ensure it’s functional for different types of workouts, and we’re happy to know the Peloton, weights, and space for yoga/stretching met your needs. Lastly, the location near Paddington Station is indeed a convenient feature, especially for travellers arriving via the Heathrow Express. We’re glad this made your visit even smoother! We hope to welcome you back on your next trip to London. Thank you once again for your kind words—they really mean a lot to us. Warm regards, Amira Guest Experience Manager

Nice to have an upgrade to a king size bed. Unfortunately the room would seriously harm a cat if you chose to swing it!
Very small compact and lacking any circulating space at all.
Shower was great. Bed was comfortable.
No tea or coffee in the room. But available in the reception.
Cooked breakfast whilst nicely presented was disappointingly cold.
When this was pointed out was told the “plate was warm”. A warm plate does not beat up cold scrambled egg and beans.
Reluctantly a new plate was eventually brought. With the apology “we’re very busy”. We were the only people in the dining room at this time.
The re presented dish had a cold plate and the food was also cold again.

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, the entire hotel was very tastefully decorated creating a relaxing, calm space with a very positive vibe. The breakfast was absolutely DELICIOUS! So healthy and tasty and perfectly set us up for the day. The location was excellent when arriving in London by train (Paddington) and then also to Heathrow Airport on the Heathrow Express if you fly here. The hotel is also located very close to quite a vast array of restaurants and a stone's throw from Hyde Park when you want to escape from the bustle of the city. Also very clever idea was providing filtered still or sparkling water stations on each floor of the hotel that can be accessed free of charge. We loved that! So helpful! One of the messages on the wall in the dining area reads: "What are you grateful for today?" Answer: Choosing Inhabit for our stay in London ;)

I checked into this hotel with hopes of a tranquil stay, particularly as the hotel prides itself on offering a mindfulness-focused environment and calming rooms. Sadly, my expectations were not met.

To begin, my room was located right next to the staff room. The windows, right by the bed, unfortunately offered a direct view of the staff's external entrance and exit. This meant I had little to no privacy during my stay. To make matters worse, there was significant noise disturbance throughout both the day and night.

Additionally, there was a motion sensor light outside that would turn on whenever a staff member used the adjacent staircase at night. The intrusion of light was quite bothersome and disrupted my sleep.

Another area of concern was the cleanliness. Despite the serene aura the hotel attempts to curate, the floor of my room was covered in long black hairs.

Although my immediate experience was less than satisfactory, there were a couple of redeeming features. The bed was undeniably comfortable, the room was a decent size, I enjoyed an excellent shower, and the location was ideal.

Moreover, I encountered some difficulties with the front desk staff. Even though online availability showed that there were open rooms, my request to change rooms was denied. This was especially frustrating given the concerns I raised with them. Interestingly, I couldn't help but notice that some front desk staff seemed a bit nervous whenever they saw me, almost as if they knew the room was not up to standard.

However, I want to give credit where it's due. After voicing my concerns post-checkout, the guest service manager was exceptionally apologetic. They addressed the matter appropriately and with professionalism.

All in all, while I would be hesitant to recommend this hotel based on my personal experience, if by chance you're assigned to room LG015, I strongly advise requesting an immediate room change or seeking a refund.

The room is the smallest thing I’ve ever been in but for somewhere where you’re just sleeping it’s fine. The shower is incredibly small I am 5’1 and 125 pounds and could barely fit. I had to wash my body, shave, and wash my hair OUTSIDE of the shower in order to avoid the water just washing the soap/hair products off of me. There is also no plugs in the bathroom to do your hair or use any tools what so ever. If you want to plug in a hair tool or other you must do so at the small desk with no mirror. I had to use my phone camera in order to do my hair. I also DO NOT recommend getting the breakfast as it is NOT a traditional buffet style that must hotels serve instead you can only choose a few options off of a preselected menu. The location however was conveniently located to the main station and many other shops.

Travelers beware!

I booked one of the single rooms for a late night flight into London because of its proximity to Paddington station. I was brought to my room which was through many narrow corridors and doors down a half stairwell completely isolated from any rooms (strange but tolerable.) When I was checked into my room I realized the deadbolt on my room was not functioning. I went to the front desk to tell them my lock was not working and I wanted another room. They said they’d check the lock and that there were no other rooms. When they couldn’t fix the lock they said they found me another room. The lock in this room also didn’t work. They claimed to have no more rooms left and tried to convince me to stay in a room with a nonfunctioning lock saying that I shouldn’t worry and that they’d be “watching on the cameras all night” and “not to worry” and that I should “try and see if I can break through from the other side” (very bizarre.) I refused, as a female traveler alone having a working lock is very important to me. Then they found me another room and the lock in this room also didn’t work. I refused to stay in this and they claimed to not have more rooms, then found me another room, surprised this lock also didn't work (that’s 4 rooms without functioning deadbolts.) They again claimed to have no more rooms and I told them I didn’t believe them while they said I’d have to choose from the 4 broken rooms they showed me. I called Marriot who owns this hotel to try and get this resolved and all of a sudden they found me a room with a functioning lock. I took the room and the AC was broken, after a long night of dealing with staff to find me an adequate room (functioning locks should be the bare minimum) I was too tired to deal with this problem. I find it deeply disturbing that it took me 5 rooms to find a room with a functioning deadbolt. I find it even more frustrating that they kept lying to me and telling me they had no more rooms instead of taking a basic security concern seriously until I began making a call to the parent company.

Also beware a lot of the rooms are in the basement, they showed me two of these rooms. The facilities are recently renovated but its more of a lipstick on a pig situation. I would recommend staying at the Hilton right outside paddington station if this is the reason you’re also looking into this hotel and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. This is by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had in my lifetime and have had better treatment and security at a youth hostel.

Dear Christine, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience, and I want to sincerely apologize for the issues you encountered during your stay. I’m truly sorry to hear that we did not meet your expectations, especially with something as critical as your safety and security. Firstly, I want to acknowledge how unsettling and frustrating this experience must have been for you, especially as a solo female traveller. The safety and comfort of our guests are our top priorities, and it’s clear we fell short in this instance. I deeply regret that the lock in the room was not functioning properly. This is not the standard we strive to uphold, and I understand how this must have caused you distress. Please rest assured that we are taking immediate steps to address this issue with our maintenance and security teams to ensure that all locks are thoroughly inspected and fixed where necessary. It is also disappointing to hear about the delays you experienced while our staff worked to find you a suitable room. Your comfort and peace of mind should never be compromised, and I’m sorry that we did not resolve your concerns more swiftly and professionally. Regarding the other concerns you raised, such as the air conditioning and the room location, I’m sorry these further detracted from your stay. Your feedback about the recent renovations is also noted, and we will continue to work on improving our facilities to meet our guests' expectations. I understand that this experience has left a negative impression, but I hope you might consider giving us another opportunity in the future to provide you with the quality of service that we are known for. Should you decide to stay with us again, please do not hesitate to contact me directly, and I will personally ensure that your stay is seamless and comfortable. Once again, I apologize for the inconvenience and distress you experienced. Your feedback is invaluable to us, and we are committed to making the necessary improvements. Thank you for your understanding, and I wish you safe and pleasant travels in the future. Warm regards, Amira Guest Experience Manager

Where to start? A Marriott hotel where you don’t earn Bonvoy Points but that isn’t made clear on booking or checking in/out? A breakfast/dinning room which is ‘owned by another company’ so you can’t charge [the hugely overpriced food] to your room? Perhaps the rooms so small they would make a Guatemalan prison cell feel roomy? All THIS for $500 a night. 😂

Dear Paul, I am so terribly sorry to read of what a disappointing stay you had and I only wish we had known of your dissatisfaction before you left us. I like to think that when we have a guest whom is unhappy with any aspect of the hotel and its services, we successfully manage to change their perception of Inhabit by correcting the issues they are unhappy with. I also like our guests to feel they receive value for money, and I don’t like the idea of our visitors leaving dissatisfied with something they have paid for and I would like to deeply apologise should you feel this way. Having said that, I would like the opportunity to make a future stay memorable for the right reasons. I have sent you a private email should you wish to contact me directly. I do hope I have the personal pleasure of welcoming you back to the hotel in the not too distant future. Warm regards, Amira Guest Experience Manager

Feels like management are slave driving their workers. Everyone seemed deeply sad, tired and overworked. Management need to take better care of their team, otherwise it shows.

Breakfast was a shambles with it being understaffed. Felt like the hotel cut corners with staff, only having one cook and one front of house who also doubled as a waitress/server/cleaner/food prep and who knows what else.

Many guests were left without breakfast as there were not enough chairs for everyone and breakfast had a 40 minute delay (which we were warned about) but this eventually turned into a 1 hour 40 minute delay. Not ideal if you have places to be and a breakfast window to eat within.

This hotel feels more like hostel, great for putting your head down for one night but after that, not great.

Could do with amenities in the room such a kettle and mugs with teabags/coffe/milk etc. No one wants to walk into the hallway in their pj's next to reception to make themselves a hot drink in front of other guests and people traffic.

Suggestions...
If having a sauna, please provide people with slippers with their robes so they can walk comfortably from their room to the sauna vice versa.

Have a breakfast bar so people can self-serve if you can't retain/find/afford the staff. (or don't offer breakfast)
Hire more staff
Reconsider the cost of staying here for customers, it's too expensive for what it offers at present as the negatives outweigh the positives

Shower drains are appalling, slow draining not ideal prone to blockages please look into that.
To summarise, please look after your staff, they are lovely and their service can make or break a stay, including the service and amenities.

No they don’t have an official baggage storage room. They were happy to keep my luggage until my room was ready but not past that. However the beds are designed very cleverly. There is space under the mattress to keep bags. That’s where I stored mine.

There are two sides to the hotel. My side had a lift. My side lead off reception. The side that leads off the “library” doesn’t have one.
