Enjoyed a one night short stay. in London (visiting The Tutenkaman Exhibition). Check in was O'k although having arrived at the recommended time (13:30) we had a wait of around 25 minutes for our room. Used this time to enjoy a cuppa and sandwich in The Lounge. Ali our waiter was friendly and took good care of us; nice guy.
Room 351 is spacious and the facilities adequate.

The concierge boys made our departure to and return from The Saatchi Gallery as easy as possible; taxi arrived promptly. Patrick, Pavel and the other guys were cheerful and attentive.

Having booked The Sunday night package of B & B, and a three course dinner with a bottle of wine we were well satisfied. Waitress service was good although the main course took quite a while to appear; my wife meal arrived ten minutes prior to mine.

Experienced. a Plumbing issue in room 351 to which The Night Manager (Michael) responded promptly. Maintenance staff were not available at 10pm so we were offered a change of room which we accepted. Room 654 proved to be slightly smaller but the bed comfortable and it met our needs.

Breakfast was buffet style; the cooked food was hot and satisfying. Service very good. Our first attempt to stay was upset by Storm Caira. However, Andrea arranged a postponement to this most recent stay without cost or difficulty. We look forward to our next visit.

I stayed at the VSC for 2 months whilst working as a Key Worker in the fight against COVID-19. The staff where always very helpful and went out of their way to assist in any way they could. Due to COVID restrictions the staff also lived at the VSC. The club installed washing and drying machines in one of the communal bathrooms for all of the guests to use at no additional cost. It was a happy place to stay, I have become a member and will be returning.

A delightful stay in the heart of the West End. Fantastic service from all employees who really do go above and beyond their everyday duties. My friend arrived on crutches and was soon offered a wheelchair to take her around London so she did not miss out. We dined in the restaurant where each meal tasted delicious; was well presented and was again great value for money. The rooms are comfortable and well equipped with irons, hairdryers etc. I cannot wait to come and stay here again soon!

This hotel is well located and breakfast is nice enough but at £162 a night you're not getting what you pay for.

In the 3 times we've stayed here, on two separate occasions, either ours or our friends have had a shower that hasn't worked. I'm not sure how that happens when the rooms are cleaned before guests arrived, and management response to the problem has been luke warm both times.

This last time was the final straw and we won't be staying here again. There are other hotels offering the same for less (and with working showers!)

If only we had found this wonderful place sooner! We were recommended the VSC by a friend, who is ironically a civilian! We thought we would try it out as we had booked tickets for a show and we weren't disappointed at all. Super bedroom with very comfortable bed and en suite, all beautifully decoated and spotless. The breakfast was better than many hotels provide and the reception rooms were tasteful, restful and welcoming. The VSC has a lovely feel about it, where a solo guest (particularly a lady) would feel safe and at ease. The staff were most professional and accommodating, I have nothing detrimental to say at all, except I wish we had discovered it years ago!

As well as staying at the VSC with work, my training course was also hosted there.

On arrival I was greeted by the concierge who never faltered on their attentive service throughout the entire stay.

The check in process was straightforward, and rooms very comfortable and well presented.

The military plaques and artwork around the entire hotel made for a museum style stay as I wandered slowly down the corridors, looking and reading at all the different paraphernalia adorning the walls.

A slight quirk was the lift service to the higher floors. Obviously the building has been extended so there’s a need to get in one lift so far up the building, walk down the corridors and get another lift to the upper floors. That said, the process of getting to my room was explained concisely so I had no trouble at all, and it gave me additional walls to enjoy the artwork etc.

The training room was well presented with a place setting, plenty of water available, and each day a small selection of chocolates/sweets presented for each delegate. The tea/coffee facilities were great with plenty to go around.

Breakfast was a vast buffet with everything from smoothies to black pudding. I also enjoyed the curry buffet, a Tuesday evening offer, with a very reasonable price tag.

The location of the VSC is brilliant for all areas of London. Marble Arch tube station is just 3 minutes walk away, although on arrival, I was early so got off at Oxford Circus and enjoyed a 20 minute stroll to arrive.

My lasting impression of the VSC is the concierge team. So attentive and helpful. They really do lift the service from excellent to outstanding.

Thank you for a fabulous stay.

We planned a London break and decided to stop at the VSC for the first time, albeit a little apprehensive at first. We arrived by taxi where we were greeted bt the concierge who carried our case to reception where we were warmly greeted. Little things and 1st impressions make a difference.
Our room on the 4th floor was newly refurbished and immaculate, as was the rest of the Club.
We had planned a 3 night stop but the last day Storm Eunice struck cancelling all the trains, a quick visit to reception we got an extra night in our room with no trouble.
Food was excellent and reasonably priced, we dined out a couple of times but for value for money it was the VSC.
For a nice relaxing, central place to stay, look no further.
We'll be back this summer.
Nice one VSC

I have just spent a night at the Victory Service Club and was most impressed. From getting out of the taxi with quite a lot of luggage we were spoilt. Our luggage was taken into the reception where a lovely lady took our details. I looked at the menu for dinner that night and decided to book for the 2 of us which was eventually changed to 4. The staff in the dining room were very accommodating especially as I didn’t know my husbands membership number.
Our room was very clean if a little small but that didn’t really matter. The shower had good pressure and plenty of hot water.
We went to the bar and met friends there. There was plenty of comfortable chairs even on New Years Eve. There was a function going on and there were many people all dressed up for a dinner dance.
We had a very good meal with excellent service and lots of smiles.
The following morning we went for a walk in Hyde Park which is very close as is Oxford Street if you want to shop!
It was busy at breakfast but we really didn’t have to wait long for a table. It was buffet style and lots on offer and I really enjoyed the sausages!
All in all I think that this is a great place to stay if you are able to as it is for serving and retired members of the military.

The VSC has a great location for central London, but is slightly tucked away from the busy roads. The rooms are clean and smart - we have stayed here lots and keep coming back.

The breakfast is monumental, if you choose it to be and Hyde Park is very close when you need to exercise.

The room was lovely, the one slight thing was the windows did not seem to shut totally which meant it got pretty cold and we could hear noise from outside. The bed had a mattress that was incredibly firm and comfortable. We had a proper separate bathroom which was large but could have had slightly better shower-wise. Breakfast is in a very smart dining room on the ground floor and is everything you would ever want.
Generally the staff were excellent, although the guy who checked us in could do with a little interpersonal training.

You can take guests to the restaurant or have them join you in the lounge (which services for and drinks throughout the day).

Apologies, just saw this now. Dress at VSC is smart casual. Polos and shorts are fine during the day, however in the evening you’ll need a proper shirt in the dining room and I believe jacket as well, although it’s more relaxed in summer months. Just no jeans/sneakers in the evening. Tends to be an older crowd, staying at this hotel, and everyone dresses quite smart.

Are King beds available?
Answer from CarolynNYC

No, they aren;t. The rooms are on the small side, some are *very* small. Even the slightly larger en-suite rooms are filled with just a double bed. It;s balanced out by the great location, kind staff, great price and more.
