Located near Euston station, the Travelodge London Central Euston offers a strategic position that receives high marks from guests. However, some travelers have called out less-than-satisfactory experiences concerning the value, citing room quality, noise issues, and extra charges for basic amenities. While the hotel's cleanliness and breakfast variety are highlights, some guests suggest a need for improved maintenance. The atmosphere is generally seen as welcoming, yet the noise levels and occasional service inconsistencies have detracted from the overall experience for a number of guests.

Very convenient location just a few steps from Euston station, so easy access to public transport and also for walking to many of the sights. Room was clean and comfortable. Good shower. Given it's location so near to the busy Euston Road, it was reasonably quiet (sounds were muffled), apart from some inconsiderate guests talking at full volume as they went down the corridor at 3am and 4.30am one day. However, despite paying for late check out at 2pm, housekeeping staff entered the room at 11am and again at 1pm (despite Do Not Disturb sign on the door and asking reception staff to remind them that we had a late check out). We left feeling annoyed.

While not the quietest hotel I have stayed in due to road noise you can not fault the location. Situated 5 minutes walk from Kings Cross and right by Euston station / Euston Sq tube it is really easy to get out and about around London.

The rooms while compact are perfectly adequate, the bed very comfy, the towels just right and there is enough storage space. Plus there is the security of floor access being by your room key card - a great bonus if a female traveller.

The only gripe is paying for Wi-Fi - it really irks me in my travels, that while only a nominal charge, it’s still required to buy Wi-Fi time unless 30 minutes is sufficient

The breakfast is good value for money even thought the restaurant area is small and has no windows. The staff are to be commended for their cheerful and willingness to help. Katja on reception is a gem and a wonderful ambassador and face for Travelodge.

We only stayed the one night as we were in London for a concert but I would happily return and stay longer.

Top tip though is bring ear plugs as the road noise can be loud at times

I stayed 2 nights here as it was a good price and convenient. The hotel suited my needs but, there was small maintenance/cleanliness issues in the bathroom - e.g. around the shower - nothing major. The breakfast wasn't the best, with low stock at times. However, it did the job for the money. As a lone visitor I would recommend asking for a room above the ground floor as it is a busy area with lots of footfall /noise by the windows. It's a busy route outside but, that's what you compromise for the very good location .It suited what I needed and I'd stay again.

Great location right next to Euston station a 2 minute walk.
On arrival receptionist very friendly lovely smile explained everything to us that we needed to know. Our room was on the ground floor no 20 and first impression was how clean it was all spotless. Plenty of hangers also had an iron and board which was great. The usual hot drink sachets with a small kettle was all good. In my opinion the walls need insulation because you can hear the people in the next room also the TV so I'd take ear plugs. Breakfast was great lots of choice Fruit cereal bacon eggs sausage beans tomatoes etc, coffee tea and a selection of fruit juices.
For a location that's convenient for the station I would recommend this Travelodge .

Stayed overnight due to train strike .
Rang and asked a few days if we could drop bags off early - no problem.
We arrived around 12 and asked that we wanted to drop bags off , but was persuaded to pay a £10 for an early arrival.
Didn't take much notice of the room , thought it was a bit small .
We can back later I was very well with a bug .
Anyways the room I stayed in a few Travelodges in my life , but they've never put me a box room described as a Standard room .
Rm 307 had a red stain on the top sheet the base of the bed was threadbare the basin sink was a treacle and badly cleaned and scratched .
The person on the left hand side of the bed could only see half of the TV due to the curtains .
This for £251.00 with breakfast complained in the morning and the small girl behind the desk refunded £90.00 back £60 for cleanliness of the room and £30.00 for inconvenience.
This was a total lie and 4 days later I put in a complaint and after waiting another 7 days the requirement was 5 days for a reply .
I got a e ticket refund for £90 .

for a family stay of 3 nights / 4 days, the hotel was very decent, the breakfast is in the form of an unlimited salty and sweet buffet. The rooms are spacious enough for 4. The location of the hotel is good, 25 minutes walk from Camden, opposite Euston station, a few minutes walk from St Pancras station and 30 minutes from oxford street for example. The staff does not speak French. The only negative point is that you can hear the noise coming from the street (even on the 3rd floor with the window closed).

Stayed here for a second time for work and had a premier room on second floor. I appreciate London is expensive, but cost a lost for what I got.

Positive:
Clean quiet room with comfortable bed
Useful USB charging points
Tea bags, hot chocolate and kit kats provided
Perfectly adequate breakfast for the cost
Polite staff on check in

Negative:
Had to share breakfast table with strangers as a very small breafast room in basement
TV signal too poor for digital TV. No signal for over 90% of the time. This should be addressed with a signal booster
Coffee maker in bedroom didn't work

When we arrived at the hotel, during check in we noticed a sign on the desk informing us that a new air conditioning system had been installed but it was not yet up and running. I booked this hotel 9 months in advance and was not informed about the sudden lack of air conditioning. During the stay being in summer, I booked my stay thinking that there would be air conditioning so the heat of the rooms would be comfortable. I had no contact prior to my arrival regarding this issue and the website had no updates regarding this. The sign also informed us that we should ask for a fan or heating unit as the hotel had “plenty to provide”. We asked the receptionist, who told us she didn’t have any so to ask the cleaning staff who were currently on our corridor. We asked the cleaning staff and they didn’t have any either. A short while later the cleaning staff provided a small fan. This was inadequate to keep the room cool during a heat wave. If I had been informed that the air conditioning would not be available during my stay (at some point in the 9 months that my booking had been confirmed for) I would’ve had the opportunity to book elsewhere. Instead, I was left with no choice but the endure the heat due to Travelodges lack of communication. I paid a great deal for a one night stay, and for such a large amenity to be missing from what I booked, I am disappointed with the service provided.

The hotel staff were all absolutely lovely unfortunately the state of the rooms let it down. It is a basic hotel but I felt I went back in time, I don’t think it’s been painted since the 90s. It needs a serious update. There were chips in the skirting, door handles falling off, rusty curtain poles and some stains on the picture frame.

The air conditioning was excellent

Not sure the breakfast was worth £10.25 but it was nice enough. Maybe just because I only have toast and tea, would be better if it was included.

Disappointing that in 2023 you need to pay for WIFI and can only connect 2 devices. Should be free especially as the WiFi wasn’t very fast.

The worst thing about my stay was the noise from outside. I didn’t sleep for 2 nights. The hotel could do with upgraded windows to try and block out the noise. I did expect some noise due to location but didn’t expect the windows to be so shoddy.

The bar cafe needs a serious update, reminded me of a staff room at work with a bar dropped into it and the vending machine was broken the entirety of my stay.

The ironing board, kettle and tea were a nice addition.

This is a good hotel for the price and a great location if you want to be close to the main train stations going north but also need to get closer to central London as needed. It’s quiet, clean and my room plus ensuite had everything I needed Staff are efficient and friendly - special mention to Barbara in the front desk who was particularly helpful when I needed a couple of items and some advice on local amenities. I’d stay again.

I am not certain if you could keep the bike in your room (I don't see why they wouldn't allow it) but there is quite a large luggage storage room on the ground floor opposite reception which is fitted out with shelving, I'm sure the very helpful staff would let you lock your bike to a shelf post in there - the room is kept locked by staff so is quite secure.
