Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

What a beautiful hotel. The staff could not do enough for you. I required gluten free and a particular member of staff Zoe, went above and beyond to ensure my needs were met and ensured my stay was just as enjoyable as everyone else’s. The food was top class with an excellent selection. The rooms were clean and freshly upgraded. The sun lounge is perfect to sit and have a drink whilst looking out on the sea. Highly recommended ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited the hotel with Enjoy Travel company for St Patrick’s weekend of music & dancing. The staff were so attentive, very helpful & friendly. Our Family room was spotlessly clean & well stocked with tea, coffee, hot chocolate, milk & biscuits - renewed each day. The meals were very tasty & again served by great staff - nothing was too much trouble. Zoe looked after our table & made sure our gluten free member was catered for without any fuss at all. Thankyou for a great weekend.

We stayed here for the first time in December 2023 and thoroughly enjoyed it. Everything was spot on. Room was lovely and clean. Food was tasty and well presented. Drinks of a good standard. Staff excellent and really focused on making our stay as enjoyable as possible. We didn't stay in every night but when we did, the entertainment was very good. Looking forward to visiting again in the summer. Thank you.

We recently attended our friend's wedding and we had a great time overall but just a couple of things I'd like to bring to your attention. Firstly it was a cold winters day and I would have liked the function room to be warmer than it was the poor bride looked frozen and ended up wearing her jacket most of the evening. We did ask staff a couple of times if the heating was actually on. Which brings me to my second gripe the staff throughout the day and night looked totally miserable I never saw a smile on any face. It was a happy occasion maybe even the odd smile would add to the atmosphere. The room is beautiful and on the whole we had a lovely time

Thank you for the review! We're glad overall you enjoyed your time with us. The Pavilion on the Prom is equipped with air con for the warmer days and heating for the cooler days, we're sorry to hear it was too cool for yourselves and we will certainly look further into the heating downstairs to ensure it is all in working order. Not very disabled & wheelchair friendly. No disabled facilities in the main hotel. Disabled room I asked for not very wheelchair accessible. The bathroom not disabled adaptations although a walk in shower. The smallest tightest disabled car park. No way of entering or leaving the hotel through the main front door onto the promenade either by wheelchair or anyone with walking difficulties. A very disappointed stay after looking forward to it for so long

Thank you for your review Barry. We're sorry to hear your stay wasn't enjoyed, we always want our guests to leave our hotel happy. We have car parking at the front and the back of the hotel, the rear car park has ramped access into the hotel and can fit around 15 cars at a time. The front entrance does have steps to get into the hotel, however, our rear entrance is ramped and you can get to the promenade via the passageway at the side of the hotel. We hope you do choose to come and visit us or our sister hotel, the Doric again in the future. Laura Perry (Reception Supervisor)

We had a good welcome. And we're soon settled in our rooms. They were both bright and airy, clean and comfy. I had a single room with sea view. It was quite a good size with a walk-in shower and a decent hospitality tray. We had breakfast the first morning. We had to wait a while to be seated. Once we were, we were abandoned. I managed to call someone over and mention that I had been promised oat milk. I had to ask 3 more times. Eventually, they sent someone out for it. By this time, I'd eat half of my cereal dry. There was a good choice of juices. However, they were not topped up. We had to wait for ju8ce, milk, bowls. The choice of fruit was disappointing, grapefruit prunes and bananas. We waited half a hour before we managed to ask for hot drinks, toast and cooked breakfast. The hot breakfast was very nicely cooked and tasty. We found the service haphazard, chaotic and disorganised. We enjoyed our stay here, but would not have breakfast again

Booked a sea view room and paid the extra, when we got there it wasn’t a sea view room so I went to reception to explain only to be told they were full so couldn’t move us, no offer of a refund for the extra £20 we paid……. Actual room was filthy the carpet can’t of been hoovered in days, and like a sauna with no way of turning down the heating, and no night portering service. Definitely would not stay there again for £135 you can get much better in Blackpool for half the price.

Thank you for your review. Firsty, I would like to apologise that you were not happy with the room you were allocated. We want all of our guests to leave the hotel happy and well rested. As we are located on a corner plot, we have sea view rooms that are located on the front and the side of the building. Unfortunately, we do not differentiate between them - however, if you would specifically like a front sea view, please give us a call on 01253 620081 to request this upon booking, we will always try our best to meet all requests given to us. Our hotel is manned 24 hours a day with night porter on the hours from 11pm - 8am, the Night Porter does have various jobs/cleaning duties around the hotel so may not always be on the front desk but will always be around the hotel to help with anything you may need. Our heating times are on scheduled times throughout the day, we provide fans in all rooms or if you would like to heating to be turned down, please ask at Reception and we can send someone up. We do hope you choose to stay with us again so we can turn your 1 star review into a much higher one. Laura Perry (Reception Supervisor)
