Just returned home from a midweek, 2 night break in Grasmere. We have stayed in many hotels and cottage rentals in this area and I can honestly say this was the most relaxing visit we've had. The staff are super friendly- nothing was too much trouble for them. The room we had- room 10- was just beautiful. The views in...

From walking through the door you are made to feel so welcome at this brilliant family run hotel. We were in a room on the top floor which overlooked the fells through a huge window. The bed was very comfortable and there was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers. The bathroom had a powerful shower and large fluffy towels. On...

Stayed for two nights over last weekend. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. Our room was a little on the small side, but the bed was comfortable and a good nights sleep was had. The water pressure was really high which resulted in soaking everything in the bathroom when the shower was turned on!!! The hairdryer was the...

Just arrived back from the hotel and couldn't find fault , hotel staff were excellent and very friendly . Food is extremely remarkable can't wait to visit again . No one should take notice of the bad review and only take on board the good ones. The staff here are excellent at their jobs and couldn't do enough for you....

We've been here before but, we are still really impressed. A warm welcome was followed by really comfortable rooms, an amazing chef, and a breakfast this prepares you for anything from a stroll to a fell. Definitely going back :)

This is a little late in coming as we stayed at the hotel for our 18th Wedding Anniversary in June 2016. The hotel was lovely and comfortable and the staff were really friendly and couldn't do enough for you. One day we got soaked through to the skin whilst out walking and the staff offered to take our clothes and...

Lovely, comfortable hotel with friendly staff, extra comfy rooms and superb dining. The little extras like bathrobes, home made treats, sherry and bottled water in the bedrooms added to the experience. Will definitely go back.

A really lovely hotel with fantastic staff. We had a large, light and airy room at the top of the hotel with fantastic views across the hills. The food is exceptional and, although it looks expensive, is extremely good and well worth the price. Easy walking distance to the rest of the small village of Grasmere with restaurants, pubs and...

We did not stay here but the in laws stayed while they baby sat our nine month old. From walking through the door the lady on the front desk (Mel) was friendly and helpful. They allowed us to feed our child there while we waited for the in laws to arrive. They moved the room around to accommodate his bed...

What a lovely place to stay , such friendly staff who really listen to the things that make it a special trip. Favourite foods being one of them. I love scallops and the next night they were on the menu , they were cooked to perfection and with lovely accompanying flavours. We stayed in a really comfortable room with a...
