We were just looking for an interesting place to stay and relax for a couple of days. This hotel was perfect for our trip. Interesting building in centre of town.Loved the room and the stay.I can't recommend the hotel highly enough.
Spent a very comfortable night here. Large rooms with antique furniture and modern bathrooms. Very friendly staff and the food in the restaurant ‘Fuggles’ was very good as was the breakfast the following morning.
A lovely place to visit but please keep up the legendary high standards. We missed the pool being available very much. It is one of the main reasons for our winter stay over. The staff were excellent but thinly stretched. Which did make little differences to the usual service
Stayed for one night on business. As a lone female traveller, it’s hard to find good places to stay but this certainly ticks most boxes. There are roaring fires and a very warm welcome. Great bedroom (very large), excellent comfy bed, nice mattress & good quality duvets &…
Really nice old location - a place to be ! The place is really nice, lots of fire places and a nice bar, nice people, good brakefast and the hotel is more than 450 years old - that's amazing !I will fore sure go back
