Booking online was simple. Hotel carpark is small we were lucky to park. Greeting on check in was good. Room was ok. Bed linen had holes in the sheets. The Mattress was soft and very lumpy. The shower curtain had seen better days with dark orange stains at the hem. Breakfast was ok. I have had far better in other chain hotels. For a premium price hotel and spa the standards were very low. We took advantage of using the spa facilities although we were told to leave as an alarm was sounding and we needed to vacate the area no call was received to update us on our request. We latter had drinks in the bar service was good although the unsightly cobwebs with entangled fly’s within lampshades was not a good sight. On checking out we were charged the overnight parking charge. However for obvious reason we were not asked how our nights stay was. The location into Winchester was good for walking into the City for our evening meal my only good point of recommendation.

This hotel was not what we were expecting!!! The reception area looks lovely but as soon as you enter the stairs leading to the rooms it goes down hill massively!! Our first room stunk of damp, no window, was dark & dingey!!! We went to reception to complain and after asking for a refund did get moved to a different room. The room was better than the first but stunk of urine, was dirty and not what we were expecting from an expensive night away. The spa was ok, but could do with some work. Looks tired and run down! Must say the staff at reception were very friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was lovely! Read the reviews before booking this hotel, as it’s really not as nice as the photos look!!

I felt I must write to say we have just enjoyed an excellent stay here for one night. The room was spotless, comfy bed, great pillows. Yes, the furniture needs updating but the bathroom was modern and clean. Staff were so helpful, friendly , and attentive. We didn't have an evening meal but the breakfast was excellent. All you could ask for. Coffee the usual hotel coffee but everything else was fine. We booked through Hotels.com and got our room for £85 , cheaper if we had booked direct. At this price it was good value.

Paid £280 + for a one night stay. The room was grubby and needs a freshen up. The bathroom did not come up to my standard of clean: grouting and sink dirty, air vent filthy and bath drained very slowly. The light fixtures were old and dim. The breakfast was buffet style and the quality of the food was poor. The staff were friendly enough, although I would guess that a lot of the weekend staff are students and not very well trained. Exception to that was the young women who greeted us and showed us to a table (albeit in a dingy, windowless room) Not somewhere I'd chose to stay again.
