I have not eaten here for years because I had a few bad experiences but decided to give it a go today. I can honestly say the food is absolutely delicious and the staff so lovely. We had soup with watercress and a croquet it was so lovely, I then had lobster tart and my mum had the chicken then we shared the lemon meringue pie - I can’t even tell you what it was like, it was amazing!! We will definitely be back, can’t recommend it highly enough.

Still consistently good food, friendly atmosphere and still taking cash. I had the pork which was delicious, mind you, I had to pay extra for potatoes. My friends both had the fish and chips and we all cleaned out plates. We had a bottle of the house red which was very quaffable.

Great customer service. Fine choice of beverages. Great beer garden. Tables outdoors could do with a slight clean. Overall a good experience I’ve enjoyed coming here while staying close by. A great place for socialising events.

Excellent beers and a great menu served by helpful, knowledgeable staff. This is a great place to stop off for a well earned beer and some excellent food. Check out the menu and you will find a great selection of fresh food to choose from, not the usual pub grub, but a well thought out use of refresh ingredients.

We ate at lunchtime. Unfriendly staff at bar. 6 of us eating. One pram. "no prams in the pub". Small portions in ploughman's lunch. Bread not crusty. Underwhelmed. This pub used to be superb. Is it the publican or it Fullers that have ruined it?

Dear Dr Death69 My apologies for the feeling that we were unfriendly, I am sure this was not the case but it is difficult for my team to deliver the information that we don't take prams and children inside. This is a long standing house rule of the pub, and although we of course have nothing against children we stand by this rule. I will review the ploughman's portion, but this is the first I have heard of it being small. I doubt we have been ruined by anything, not even closures and pandemics can do that. Feel free to give us another try. Best regards Jon Howard
