Welcome to the Northbrook Arms - a freehold independently owned village pub. Acquired in February 2019 from the Northbrook Estate, the Northbrook Arms reopened in July 2020 as part of a first phase development. Situated in the idyllic village of East Stratton just minutes from the A33 between Winchester and Basingstoke we are a great destination for a quick pit stop and drink or a more planned day/night out. We currently have plenty of spaced out seating both inside and outside. Outdoors we have the large green opposite with brand new picnic benches as well as the courtyard kitted out with traditional pub furniture under a large canopy with outdoor gas heaters. Inside, you can choose between the main bar or old stable barn, both offering comfortable and spaced out seating. We have plenty of off road parking located to the rear of the site. Long term the Northbrook Arms site will be bought back to true glory boasting a range of accommodation and facilities including five self catering cottages ( including 4, 3, 2 and 1 bed options), three bed & breakfast double ensuite rooms and an indoor swimming pool and gym facility. Works are underway with completion expected late 2021.

My son had booked four of us in for Sunday lunch. Disappointed to find we were seated in what was the bowling abbey which had no atmosphere and was very cold as the door was constantly in use. Having ordered our food and it arrived, the Brussels sprouts I couldn’t get my knife in them,so hard. We felt we were rushed the whole time, coffee arrived before desserts and I hadn’t finished mine before the cups were being collected. Al in all a big let down and we won’t be returning!

We booked a table for Sunday Lunch after seeing the good reviews. When we arrived we were seating in a freezing cold outbuilding. It was so cold and unpleasant we left before trying the food. Be careful when booking online as there is no indication you will be seated in an outbuilding when you may be looking foward to eating in a nice warm country pub!

We heard that a new chef had just started and were keen to check out the fare. We were not disappointed! The meal was really delicious. Two of us had the pork ribeye which was outstanding as was the cottage pie and the fish pie. The desserts were equally good with excellent crumble and a generous and tasty cheeseboard. The Chilean wine was excellent too. Service was also exceptionally good bearing in mind we had booked on the wrong night.

Thank you so much to everyone at the Northbrook Arms for our perfect wedding day! We held our evening reception at the Northbrook Arms and it was fantastic. The staff were so polite and friendly, the food was INCREDIBLE! Everyone complimented us on what a fantastic venue we had chosen. Thank you to Adam, Kate and Jo who helped us plan and were always there for us on the lead up to our special day. I would definitely recommend Northbrook Arms.
