Detailed Reviews
My husband and I and 19 year old daughter have just spent 2 very comfortable nights at Hannah and Steve's beautiful home. The room was so homely and so clean and the smelt lovely too! You get the feeling of being miles away from anywhere as it's so peaceful. The garden is huge, I wish I'd had the time to relax in the hammocks at the far end! It was great to be able to order the tailor-made breakfasts at the time you wanted for the next morning (sorry Hannah we all had our eggs cooked a différent way!) and they were excellent. There was also a much appreciated endless supply of tea both upstairs in room and downstairs. All in all, a lovely relaxing two nights, including lovely country walks down to the harbour, crossing-over the bridge, where there will soon be the restored only working tide mill in the world! Also had a lovely meal and live music in the very friendly pub next door - perfect! Can't finish without mentioning the adorable Rhiley! He's lovely! We'll be back!

We spent two nights here with our baby who is 6 months old. From the moment we arrived we was made to feel so comfortable with our little one. Hannah had set up the cot bed to perfection and she had even gone the extra mile to provide such beautiful bedding for our little one. The room was very clean and had everything we required. This is a beautiful cottage and the pictures do not do this place justice. Our son loved the ducks and chickens that they had in the back yard which again has amazing views. Hannah and Steve were excellent hosts and they advised us where to eat and what activities our little one would really enjoy. Our advise to anyone who is thinking of staying here is please book it you will not be disappointed. The breakfast was amazing and it is all fresh local produce. We can not wait to go again and have been telling all our friends and family that need a break to book this lovely cottage. It is conveniently located to all the main attractions ie New Forest wildlife park, Peppa pig world, Lepe beach, Southampton city centre, near some lovely pubs and restaurants.

Ivy's is in a lovely location and the bedrooms have pretty views over the garden. A great breakfast and Riley is sometimes disappointed if nothing is left for him! Second time we have stayed and will not hesitate to return when back in the area.

We stayed at Ivy's prior to going on a cruise with Cunard and found it to be an excellent place to stay. It's a 15 minute drive from Southampton central station, best to speak to Hannah to arrange a taxi as the ones on the rank at the station make sure to go the long way round.
Ivy's B&B is quaint, pretty and well located in a quiet little village with a nice little village pub right next door.
As for Ivy's, the place is charming, a step back in time to when B&B's were very homely, but Ivy's is also very modern and spotless too, a great little place to stay away from the maddening crowds.
You'll be sure to get a great welcome from Riley {Hannah's dog}, he takes pride in showing you round. Nice to wander in the gardens to see the ducks, Riley does a guided tour, if you're a dog lover this is the place to be.
The breakfast is second to none, beats what you get in Hotels, it really is a home from home experience a very enjoyable experience.
Ivy's will be top of our list whenever we stay in Southampton.

A really nice B&B just on the outskirts of Southampton. Quiet and secluded but close enough to the city (a 10 minute journey to West Quay). Friendly, clean and comfortable with a wonderful cooked breakfast. Well worth trying if you have transport and excellent value for money.

A fantastic little B&B on the edge of the new forest and a 20 minutes drive from Peppa pig land. Owners are extremely friendly and hardworking. The garden is beautiful and great for kids. We are already making plans to pop back next summer. Highly recommended.

Gracious hosts, beautiful house, very clean, gorgeous furnishings, comfy bed, tasty breakfast, and, best of all, super friendly/cute dog! We'll miss you Riley!
One of the owners, Hannah, even helped us with a last minute extension of our stay when our flight got cancelled.
Pub right next door is great for a drink. Easy driving distance to Southampton and New Forest. Our favorite place to eat was the Oak Inn in Lyndhurst!

We stayed for 2 nights in Room 2. It was lovely and clean, had a very comfy bed with good quality linen, an effective shower and tea and coffee making facilities with fresh milk avaiable. We had a delicious breakfast each morning. Highly recommended.
