Staff all helpful and polite. Room a little on the cold side. I stayed here on two separate occasions in the space of a week, and both times I got into my room to find the window had been left wide open - in late October! The result was that the room was cold, and I didn't seem able to get the hang of the heating controls. The room was clean and comfortable and the restaurant served decent food.

1- I totally don't recommand, you will wait ages at the reception untill you do the check-in, and you will even get a one who works at the restaurant I think who doesn't know anything and will keep telling you my manager is not here to answer 2- The room is not really clean and if you are staying for 2 nights be sure that they will not clean it or change at least the towel !! 3- The location is horrible, I regret not booking at the city center as it's also only 30 mins from the airport and only by Bus

Good location for the city, we were visiting our eldest, who doesn’t have space for visitors. We stayed here as appose to a city centre one, as it was half the price and only a short drive. Very quiet even though so close to the airport (we could see the planes in the tarmac 🤣) Great breakfast as usual!

When we arrived there seemed to be a problem with check in for most guests, had to wait a while. No explanation given to us while we stood for 10 minutes for the receptionist to try to activate our key card. The card didn’t work and I had to run up and down to the room 4 times before someone would go and look. No one could rectify the problem so we were let in via a master key and told if we wanted to leave or return we’d have to find a member of staff to let us back in. The bed was not as comfortable as they usually are. The road noise kept me awake combined with the people above walking around creaking the floor half the night. The tv didn’t work but after messing about with check in we were tired and couldn’t be bothered to get help. My daughter found actually fixed the tv herself in the morning. One tea and one coffee each-not enough. No food being served after we arrived, was told to try Uber eats ect. Was glad to leave.

Response from Whitbread Hotels and Restaurants, Other at Premier Inn Southampton Airport hotel
Responded 2 weeks ago
Hi, Thank you for your review. We’re sorry to hear that you’ve been left feeling disappointed with your recent stay due to wait at check-in, the issue with your key card and tv not working and both the bed and noise leaving you feeling uncomfortable. We can imagine this left you feeling let down and this defiantly isn’t the experience we want our guests to have whilst staying with us. We'd like to assure you we'll raise this with the Hotel Manager to see what improvements can be made going forward. We wouldn't want your experience to happen again so any necessary retraining will be implemented, and your room will be reviewed by our Maintenance Team. Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we hope we can welcome you for a more enjoyable stay in the future. Emma

Very friendly and helpful staff. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet and restful the room was inspite of being so close to the airport and train station. There is good bus service to Southampton University too.
