Detailed Reviews
My husband and I ended up staying at The Glasshouse as the original b&b couldn't accommodate us for the one night, due to personal issues, and so our booking was taken over by Sue and Peter. They were the perfect hosts, with no request being too much for them. Certainly different to any other B&B we have stayed in, with no locks on doors, no refreshments in rooms and with the hosts always seeming to be available to assist. The rooms are open plan, so no door onto the bathroom area, large comfy bed and very clean. Bathrobes and slippers are provided, as shoes are requested not to be worn in the house. Missed out on the wonderful smelling freshly baked cake, as we were eating out later and didnt want to spoil this, however a tea tray was delivered to our room whilst we freshened up, which was gratefully received. A little unusual having morning drinks delivered to our door at a specified time, and having ito order breakfast the night before. We both opted for the Full English and this was well cooked and presented. No issues with parking and the gardens in front of the house were to be admired. Would return if ever in the area again.

My partner was confused by the absence of room locks but to me it just added to the sensation of being guests of a particularly welcoming family.
The photos on their website are almost misleading. It is even nicer when you visit. They were still awake when my partner wanted a cold glass of water before going to sleep. So I ran into the hosts when I went downstairs to see what I could find. Not only was I made very aware this was no trouble they seemed disappointed when I declined the choice of cucumber or mint as optional additions.
While they have a nespresso machine they encouraged us to ask for fresh coffee when we appeared and for breakfast. It was nicer.
Breakfast is a communal affair where we shared this large round table with the other guests. From every room you overlook the stunning garden including where we ate meaning we dawdled and enjoyed the moment before continuing with our weekend plans.
I had let them know I was veggie and still wanted a traditional English breakfast (v). I was very happy. My omnivorous partner loved hers too and they were keen to adapt what they offered to the guests' wishes.
They source local eggs meaning the scrambled eggs were this amazing golden orange and as tasty as they looked.
This is a particularly beautiful corner of Britain and we greatly enjoyed going onto the arboretum afterwards having visited family the evening before. But the beautiful house and hospitality of the glasshouse hosts really helped make it a special weekend.
We were spoilt by the weather which always helps but my lingering memory weeks later is of a very superior b&b!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this amazing ‘ Grand Designs’ style of property .
Sue’s welcoming pot of tea and homemade cake was a perfect start to my 2 night break in this delightful house .
The bed was very comfortable and I enjoyed two first class breakfasts .
Both Sue and Peter work very hard to ensure that guests have everything they could possibly need .
I really enjoyed my stay and felt like an honoured house guest Thank you both very much indeed .

Just returned from a one night perfect stay at this wonderful Bed & Breakfast.
Sue & Peter were perfect hosts in this lovely building which was designed by Peter himself. The bedrooms are great as are the sitting, liberty and breakfast rooms. The decor is brilliant with some fine artwork and furnishings.
Breakfast is fantastic at a shared table with other guests which is a joy as you can share your experiences of the countryside and many towns and villages just a short drive away. The Glasshouse should be tried, you will not be disappointed.

after several stays in the cotswolds this time, this was an odd stay
it felt like the hosts had just started offering B & B and were a bit awkward
there was nothing wrong with the house, this was architecturally unusual and the reason we booked it but
we were asked to take our shoes off to go up to our designated room, (everyone staying was asked to do this too) which took us aback to be honest, thankfully we didn't have odd socks on or smelly feet!
the room was very sparten, very minimalist & lacked comfort, the bed was fine, and beautifully made up, high but very comfortable, but there was no tea and coffee making facilities, no bottled water (we were encouraged to drink the water in the bathroom tap and we paid £125!!) no soap (except for dispenser) no bedside tables, no bin, and only two upright dining chairs to perch on, the bathroom had 'see through roller blinds' so we couldn't put the lights on in the night to go to the loo or shower due to the huge glass windows and no lock on the door
there was also someone else's clothes (a family member I assume) in the wardrobe,
we felt a bit like we were intruding and because of the lack of soft furnishings all over the house the place echoed and we felt we had to whisper and have the TV volume really low to watch the news
breakfast was huge and excellent, and you were asked to sit at a round table with the other guests
which proved to be the saving grace of our stay because there was a beautiful couple already eating their breakfast and we chatted freely with them and they were just lovely, very interesting people, thankfully they were there!
we couldn't wait to leave after breakfast and made a sharp exit
slightly bemused about leaving this honest review so that the owners can make any adjustments necessary, because all of the other travellers have left glowing reports
perhaps B & B's are not for us, we'll book a hotel next time

We visited this stunning house for 2 nights and were totally bowled over. It is in no way a traditional B&B but is relaxed and quirky. Breakfast was gorgeous and the hosts welcoming and helpful. Loved it.

We stayed at The Glasshouse for one night last summer (as a pricey treat) en-route home after a week touring the south coast on holiday.
This is an amazing property in a beautiful part of the world, Sue & Peter are lovely hosts too.
No Tea & Coffee making facilities in the room or an information pack (wi-fi code) were disappointing, but that may have been rectified by now.

This isn’t like any other B&B you will ever have stayed in or probably will again. The house itself is breathtaking and the thought and care that went into the design are a credit to the Sue and Peter.
From the moment we arrived Sue made us feel extremely welcome with a fresh pot of tea and home made cake waiting for us on arrival.
The rooms are lovely and each is unique, I particularly liked the Yoga room where you can go do some yoga or just relax. Breakfast was a feast with vegetarian and vegan options available, nothing was too much trouble
She had lots of suggestions for where to go to for food and drinks and even booked us a table.
If you are looking for a faceless B&B were you have no interaction with the the hosts this is not the place for you, however if you like the extra personalised touches and more of a home from home feel you will love it.
As mentioned in previous reviews there are no locks on the outside of the door, however there are locks inside if you feel you need to lock the door. Sue provides slippers but if you’re staying for a few nights bring your own cosy pair as because the house is so big it can be a wee touch cold in the morning.
Tetbury is a really place and this is a good base to see it all from

I was visiting the Westonbirt Arboretum over half term with my 14 year old son and was looking for accommodation for the night. The local hotels in Tetbury were quite traditional and when we came across the Glasshouse it looked perfect. The photos don’t do it justice. It is absolutely beautiful and the design so refreshing and unique. The room was very comfortable and we felt at home immediately. The hosts Sue and Peter were wonderfully welcoming and were so lovely and friendly. Breakfast was also delicious and the yellow raspberries the icing on the cake. Couldn’t recommend more highly and will definitely return.
