We booked this hotel for our anniversary with vouchers given to us in 2021. We contacted central reservations to extend our voucher and book directly with them. On arrival we were told the voucher of £300 was not valid. I showed them my email confirmation of extension to Oct 2022. I was told they would only honour the voucher for that day. I was shocked and put a dampener on the whole stay. We were given 1 cocktail voucher to celebrate our anniversary. 🙄. The room itself was nice. However I’d say way up on the price level. It’s about a 10-15 min drive to the Pier. Around £10-12 taxi. On departure the staff member was understanding of our situation then saying we owed for our bar drinks as the voucher would only cover our stay. Not a great feeling of Malmaison at all. We will be taking this up with central reservations as it appears the hotel itself is powerless to do anything. Terrible customer service.…
Meeting at the hotel so stayed over, staff very attentive and friendly. Spotless and very clean. Food of good quality and great location over looking harbour. Room comfy, clean and of a good size. Bed very comfy yet the pillows were horrendous. May seem pedantic but really impacted on a night's sleep. Overall worth staying at as also great location for a walk along harbour
Second time staying at the Malmaison Brighton and once again an amazing stay. Room was fantastic. View was perfect. Very comfortable. Love the quirkiness of the hotel/rooms, modern feel. Love it and will definitely stay again. Staff were very friendly and helpful
BIG money, tiny room. Special occasions always calls for something a little extra, so when the option of an upgraded room to ‘Club’ along with a sea view and at a spectacular price, I thought we would go along with the fact that we were in Brighton Marina and push the boat out for something extra. In truth, I was expecting a bit more than a room that was soooo small, that it was laughable. Think cruise ship cheap cabin small. Think classic mini. Think Tom Thumb himself would be hard pushed to stretch his legs… On the plus side, the restaurant, bar area and staff were all fabulous and the balcony was the size of a basketball court.
Afternoon tea is priced at £27 which is fairly steep especially being served dry scones & cake. This was a shame as this was for an 18th birthday treat. On reporting the scone & cake were dry, the waiter apologised & offered us another… not really what we wanted. Beautiful location & nice spacious room. I will return for a drink, but not afternoon tea.
My friend & I visited earlier this week for a few nights & highly recommend this beautiful Hotel in its stunning Marina location. I have worked in Hospitality/ PR in Restaurants & Hotels in Mayfair, London nearly all my life so totally understand the hard work & dedication needed to ensure your clients have a wonderful experience. Therefore I have to mention the following staff for their outstanding attention to detail, professionalism & friendliness ( without overstepping the mark) Receptionist Manon was absolutely fantastic. Beautiful smile welcomed us & bent over backwards to ensure we were happy. Restaurant.& Bar we were lucky enough to be looked after by another 2 super stars Courtney & Georgia ( mean cocktail maker). Breakfast was run smoothly & efficiently by the lovely Mitch & team and the evening menu & food was exceptional and delicious. Such great value for money. We found our rooms extremely comfortable and clean and had the most wonderful stay. Thank you Elizabeth Fricker…
Our three day break was easy to book through Hotels.com. although we did ring again before to confirm our booking which at that time they still did not have. The hotel entrance is between shops on the ground floor but there is a hotel Drop Off Point outside to take bags up to the first floor reception. Parking is in the adjacent multi storey and is free on the sixth floor - quite a dizzy drive up to the 6th Floor! The rear walkway though does take you the same reception level. Lifts are quick. Reception staff were excellent. Our room was clean and tidy and what you would expect with a small balcony overlooking the marina. Layout of the room could have been better as Tv off set and NO coat hangers! Loo paper was of poor standard and quality - budget hotel type! Breakfast was excellent as were staff serving at the time. Be aware there is a security button to enter and leave floor three which we not initially told about when checking in. Overall a great place when visiting Brighton as buses drop off outside and pick you up adjacent to McDonalds. Taxi was £11 from the Brighton Centre. Would return.…
Friendly staff. The room itself was clean, shower was good. There was a little box of Lindt chocolate and bottled water provided in the room on arrival and the coffee machine was a nice bonus to other hotels. Would definitely recommend staying in the seaview rooms as the view was great.
We stayed at the Brighton hotel , the overall experience left us feeling completely ripped off. The cost for one night was about 3x times the actual value of the establishment. The rooms were extremely small, corridors are tired with upholstery marks. When we raised the point at checkout we were informed its central pricing ..then do not ask for feedback when you check out if you literary are not going to action it. The rooms are extremely small, we paid for a sea view .. two people can't fit on the balcony . You can't get around the beds with a personal waking aid. There are lots of choices for accommodation in Brighton, they are living off a reputation of excellence and the experience was not good value for money.
Just had a two night stay at Malmaisson . The room the view the staff the bar the food and location are all just wonderful. I can't recommend it enough . Easy parking and short bus journey to the centre. A huge thank you to Matt and Amelia two managers who made the stay so special turning a visit to see my Son into an amazing experience. Just what we needed and it was a real wrench leaving yesterday so a big big thank you for an amazing stay .
