Absolutely brilliant stay, and fantastic warm welcome from Antony. The hotel is beautifully decorated and our room was so comfortable with everything we could possibly need. It’s in a fantastic location within Kemp Town and minutes walk to the sea front. We shall be back!!!
I had an amazing time and felt very privileged to be one of the guests this special weekend. The attention to detail is second to none. Very comfortable room. I’d highly recommend staying here - and have already recommended to friends. I’d definitely think about staying here again.
My husband and I stayed here for a long weekend over Pride. The owners Antony and John are wonderful, they go out of their way to make you feel welcome, some lovely touches, bubbly, cupcakes, wristbands for the street party. Breakfast was varied, plentiful and delicious. We will definitely be coming back when we are next in Brighton. The location is great too, easy walk to restaurants and bars and near a supermarket too. Our room wasn't huge, but bigger than we thought it would be, bigger rooms are available. Everything was very clean and comfortable.
This gem of a bed and breakfast in Brighton was splendid. I visited in early July and every day of my time in this seaside town, I thanked my lucky stars that I had booked a room at 27 Brighton Guesthouse. Antony, the owner, takes hospitality up to a very high level because it’s very clear that he loves his guesthouse and takes great care to make it so welcoming that you feel quite special and at home at the same time. When I first arrived and was a bit flustered after an early train ride from London, I sat down in the parlor and Antony offered me a cup of tea. As he left me alone for a few minutes, I looked around the gorgeously decorated surroundings and suddenly, my spirits lifted and I felt truly transported to an impressive and heartwarming example of gracious living. I’m sorry it took me this long to write this review. My room (“The Prince Regent”), overlooking the street on the second floor, was charming and cozy with a wonderful bed; a lovely, modern bathroom; a TV; and a mini-fridge tucked inside an armoire. The regency-style décor was thoughtfully and impeccably articulated throughout my room and the guesthouse in general. Antony’s eye for design carefully recreates an opulent charm that is particularly meaningful for Brighton’s royal history, but the opulence was also intimate and playfully elegant. And there always some little delightful item of surprise to find—a homemade treat with a note or a small bottle of Prosecco in the fridge—that would make your day. Breakfast each morning was delightfully prepared by Antony (he’s a great cook—you must try the homemade granola!) and there was always a snack waiting in my room when I got back for tea. You should be so lucky if he has made the Portuguese egg custard tart. Then after dinner and the evening out, I would usually return to find a nightcap waiting in the front parlor. Not only was my stay very comfortable there, but little touches like these are what made it memorable. Truly top-notch! And Coco and Poppy were always a heartwarming presence. I don’t think I will ever book somewhere else when I return.…
As soon as you walk into 27 Brighton, you know you're in safe hands! We loved our quirkily decorated and comfortable room - it was small, but so cleverly fitted out that there was plenty of room to hang clothes and store luggage. We appreciated the little extras, such as the chilled Prosecco, the fresh milk, and the delicious homemade biscuits. Due to the warm weather, we slept with the window wide open, and were not disturbed by noise. Antony was a friendly and helpful host, and his suggestions for local bars and restaurants were excellent. We loved Brighton so much we hope to be able to return, and if we do, will certainly book 27 Brighton again!
We had a wonderful stay for two nights at the end of July to attend a couple of events in Brighton, we live quite locally but visit Brighton regularly and would definitely stay again now we have found this wonderful B&B rather than the big hotels. We had an immaculate double room with en-suite wet room which was ideal as a base so close to the seafront and city, great good quality bed linen and pillows. Tea/ coffee fresh milk all included. There were lovely touches throughout the room and I can’t think of anything you may need that wasn’t included with fabulous extras like a little Prosecco, water and gorgeous home baked treats left in our room after a night out. Antony was always on hand if needed and great communication before we arrived with help with check in and parking. Perfect is the only way to describe it so thank you and see you soon! I had a marvelous 2 night stay here, and would gladly return for longer. Antony is a charming and thoughtful host. The quiet room for a solo traveler feels much larger than it actually is, due to a clever bay window and other space-saving tricks. Breakfast (optional) was freshly prepared and delicious. Truly, I felt enormously fortunate to have booked here.
We had a fantastic three day stay at 27 Brighton. Antony was the most welcoming host, with helpful suggestions for restaurants, bars and places to visit. The breakfasts were outstanding too! When we are next in Brighton we’ll definitely stay here again and we would highly recommend to anyone visiting Brighton.
It's a privilege to stay at 27 Brighton - if it has the room you want available, you need not look elsewhere. It is spotlessly clean, curated with love and beautifully appointed. Antony and John are hosts par excellence, and I may return to Brighton in the future just so I can stay there again.
Our 2 night stay at 27 Brighton was fantastic, Antony is such a great host welcoming us with some chilled prosecco and homemade short bread biscuits on the second day. The rooms and hotel are beautiful and a great location close to everything you need to be. Highly recommend!
