Great experience for a one night trip to Brighton. Staff were great and attentive. Breakfast staff were very attentive. Room was quite tired looking for price/ what was advertised on website. However, room was very clean and comfy just the appearance different to advertisement/ needed a bit of an update considering the price you pay
Staff, food and building need a revamp all past its prime, its a shame the building is beautiful and the inerior features great but all lost in very average service and poor room and average is being generous with no view only on to a wall frosted widows low grade facilities, no fresh orange juice. Al so very poor I am sorry
The Grand is an imposing hotel offering immediate access to the beach and with all of Brighton on your doorstep. There’s a variety of food in offer and with considerable choices therein to suit both your budget and preferences.
We had an excellent stay at the Grand. All the staff were very friendly, the service was excellent and there was a welcome pack for our dog. The room was clean and quite well appointed. The breakfast was excellent as was the service in the bar and dining room in the evening. Would highly recommend The Grand to family & friends.
Really recommend this hotel! The rooms are spacious, the beds very comfortable, shower works very well. Breakfast was delicious and a sea view simply amazing. It’s in a heart of Brighton, close to the pier and restaurants.
Laid back classy hotel. Great location and the cheaper rooms are still very good. It was a hot few days and the room aircon was at the max which made it noisy. The bed was firmer than we'd like. The restaurant is good and the breakfast is superb. You can't get a better location. Its a shame they don't redevelop the Odeon next door as this isolates the hotel from the Laines.
Very good hotel - would recommend, Quite expensive but overall worth the cost Lovely style and comfort, well maintained and comfortable Service friendly and professional spacious room but very hot. They did provide fans
Had stayed at other hotels in Brighton before but not at the Grand. Price for two nights was actually cheaper than we paid at the Holiday Inn a couple of months ago. Wonderful customer service, beautiful decor and the room was very tastefully decorated. Huge bed! We had a grand collection double room with a sea view. Customer service upon arrival and the whole stay was perfect. Overall we loved it and will definitely return.
Staying at The Grand Brighton, but as we came back from a night out, 2 men who just left the hotel, we just arrived at the front door, my boyfriend was attacked, mugged for his watch. The man with a Eastern European accent wrestled with him at the door, luckily my boyfriend realised what he was after and put his fingers in the strap and the assailant did not get away with the watch. The staff had just asked the men to leave the bar, but only seen them to the door and not watched them leave the premises. I asked reception to call the Police but was told the Police in Brighton were very busy. That is true I am sure but this leaves these men to continue their mugging in every hotel in Brighton. Not happy
A huge disappointment. We are currently staying in this hotel and have noticed how standards have dropped. In our opinion this can no longer be regarded as a luxury hotel. Our room was poorly prepared for our stay. Our towels were not laundered. We were told we hadn’t put them into our bath although there was no sign telling us to do that. They were simply left soaking wet. We have stayed here before many times and things were much better. The hotel seems to be economising on guests comforts.
