I stayed at the lovely Artist Residence over looking Regency Square as I was attending a conference elsewhere in central Brighton. I was so pleased with my room (I was in a "cozy double" on the second floor) which was really cute and compact but plenty big enough. The decor is beautiful throughout the hotel...it's modern but with a touch of shabby chic. The staff were all super friendly and helpful on arrival and throughout the duration of my stay. I loved the little extras in the room. A mini smeg fridge containing water and milk. Slippers, dressing gowns, drinks glasses, etc. I loved that there was a radio playing quietly on my arrival in the room playing chilled jazz music. The staff were very attentive and I was chuffed to find they had turned my room down for the night by rolling up some new towels and putting the music and side lights on next to the bed for my return to the room. The breakfast offering is really comprehensive ranging from granola and coconut yoghurt to a full on cooked breakfast, As I was short on time, I opted for the sough dough toast and a coffee which was lovely. All in all, I would highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again at some point in the future.…
Second visit here for just me and my teenage daughter. We love it. Best described as quirky, fun, rustic, arty. If you opt for a sea view the outlook is fabulous - even the tiny sea view room we went for this time was ample big enough for a cosy couple of nights. It had a balcony big enough to sit on with a table also. Location is perfect - only a stride from the beach, bandstand and British Airways i360 in one direction, and a 10minute walk the the Lanes (both North and South Lanes) in the other direction with multiple fabulous restaurants in between. The staff are beyond helpful, relaxed and flexible. The breakfasts (optional extra) are delicious, and the bar area dark, charming and cosy. Unless you love the corporate 5* star hotels with their boringly uniform accessories & a trouser press in every room...you can't not fall in love with this place!…
Stayed here while attending a conference. Lovely location on a square off the seafront. Room was small but adequate for one person for one night. Great breakfast, and lovely bar and lounge area where I spent a pleasant hour relaxing sipping a cocktail looking across the square to the sea.
The description of Artists Residence Brighton is 'if you could condense the spirit of a town into one building, Artist Residence Brighton would be it' and actually, it should read 'if you could condense the spirit of a town into one TEAM, Artist Residence Brighton would be it'. The people who work here are unbelievably attentive, kind and positive. I come here to have a coffee and get some work done and they always make me feel SO welcome. Anyone who I know who has been here says the same thing and anyone who I meet who hasn't yet been, I tell to visit. Lewis in particular is perfect at his job - from bringing dog treats over for my furry friend to remembering my name and order, he puts a smile on everyone's face and juggles lots of things with ease and (seemingly) enjoyment. I absolutely love it here and yes the building is STUNNING but it's all about the team who make the vibe just so peaceful and fun.…
Great location on Regency Square . We had one of the rooms facing the sea . Coffee and tea available in the room so nice to sit out on balcony on the sunny day . Easy to walk to restaurants etc . Parking available in Public Car park in Regency Square or at the back of the hotel . Bed comfort good but we wouldn't be happy to stay much longer due to smallness of room. Staff very friendly and helpful . Breakfast good but prefer Avocado on toast just to be avocado and not other stuff ( onions , feta cheese etc ) and for poaches eggs not to be done in vinegar .
What a stunning hotel, located at the top eof Regency Square overloking the sea. A great location, a short walk from the centre of town but far enough out to not suffer from the noise and disruption of late night revelry. Stylishly fitted out, even the smaller rooms are comfortable and well equiped. An amazing cocktail bar at the ground floor and although we wer a bit lat eup for breakfast it looked fantastic. Next time! The staff were super helpful and a great quality of service at every stage of our stay. I would highly recommend this hotel for your next Brighton visit.
Hotel- The hotel is right next to Regency Square underground car park and a small walk to the main shopping centre, lanes and loads of at restaurants and bars! The hotel and our room was very clean and very unique & quirky in decor! Lots to look at! I had smashed avocado on sour dough toast with poached eggs for breakfast downstairs at a table with a great view! It was a generous portion and cooked really well :) Staff were very knowledgeable and friendly. Room- We shared a double room (#22) and although small, it had everything we needed. The room did not have a wardrobe or ironing board but I am sure these could be borrowed from the hotel. The bed and pillows/ duvet were very comfy. The bathroom was small and a little dark but the shower was powerful and stuck to consistent temperature. I’d recommend this hotel to anyone seeking something unique!…
I booked this in dollars through the Holiday Inn group, but it's a loose association and I needed to show my booking confirmation on arrival. After that, I was delighted with the immaculate room with sea view (as promised) on the fourth floor. Name on the door was Ben Eine. Sure enough, a numbered print 'LOVE' by that artist hangs on the wall inside. Decent brew of breakfast tea, and slippers for tired feet. A welcome gift from the residence: hand wash. I was at a conference round the corner and the location could not have been more convenient. Will stay again.
What a beatutiful place to stay! We stayed for two nights, close to beach and city center. Our room had sea view and the impressive British Airways i360. Helpful staff and a tasteful eclectic deco both in social areas and our room. Greetings from Sweden!
Very funky hotel that grew on us as we stayed there. Our room was comfortable although the sink drained slowly as well as the toilet needed pumping to get it to flush. Probably understandable in a very old building. The bed was super comfortable and the Brambly products were great. The best breakfasts we had in our two weeks of traveling the UK by far. Hotel staff were super helpful, friendly and totally vibed with the hotel’s personality. We enjoyed our stay.
