On the face of it a nice hotel but the facilities and clientele leave a lot to be desired. Booked in for a one night stay in a ground floor family room on a Saturday in the middle of September at a cost of £100, not too bad for four people. Although the room has very nice & clean although not too spacious, we did encounter several problems & issues with this hotel. First of all this is, like many hotels in Bournemouth, a very old building that has been converted and extended into a hotel. Thus: no disabled access (very steep entrance steps) nor working lift; no restaurant or bar facilities which are located at basement level but currently filled with disused and delaptated furniture & bedding; very limited and tight parking; untidy and unkempt courtyard area; total lack of security, reception and control overnight.
I am quite philosophical as we booked this hotel at the last minute based purely on price and location. However, when you are in a Bournemouth hotel room on a Saturday night with two children, you expect some activity and movement but not to this extent. The room above was a nightmare. Wooden floorboards and their creaking can be excused but not by several people laughing, joking, playing music and taking showers until 4am in the morning. We complained three times to the night service and despite brief respites so it continued. We could not wait to leave despite our tiredness & lethargy. This place is ok to 'flop' if you need to and have no standards or money. I only say this - and I must phrase this carefully - because before arrival my stepson (who lives two blocks up in a modern apartment complex) advised me that this hotel accomodates guests, how should I say this without prejudice, who cannot afford their own accomodation. I will reserve judgement but the plethora of broken bottles & cigarette butts in car park and courtyard, multi occupancy of rooms without control and all night revelling should give you the heads up. Not for families.

On arrival was greeted by cheerful knows everything receptionist, saying Bournemouth is the 2nd most boring town in the world, friendly but a bit ott. Party of 4 so had two rooms. Single room was ok but not sure if bed linen was fresh. The triple room at the top of the hotel looked fine on a quick glance, but bed lined was definitely being used a second time as had makeup on it. Shower went from cold to very hot. As only 1 night accepted it.
The breakfast was extra so paid £24 for4. This was the poorest I have ever been served. A full breakfast comprised of something that looked like an omelette rather than a fried egg, it was cold and hardly edible. To make matters worse the small packets of butter ran out so my wife asked for more only to be handed a container of butter which had a thick crust on the top, looking at the date it expired May 2021. Have read a mixture of reviews a mix of some good and bad, probably would not make a return.

This hotel is OK. The man on reception was friendly but when we checked in, he kept saying how clever him and his son were which my son didn't enjoy as not everyone is a genius. The room was adequate with the bathroom door not shutting properly and mould marks on the ceiling. Rooms were not serviced for second night of our stay with no additional tea, coffee etc. provided. Cups weren't the cleanest and valance on bed seemed to have pre-existing stains. It was OK for 2 night stay but would look for an alternative if I was going to Bournemouth again.

Me and my partner stayed for one night on the 14th August & ended up checking out the next morning despite having three nights booked.
The room was tiny & dated and the bed was so uncomfortable we both had bad backs the next day. Would probably be more comfortable in a prison cell.
The bathroom floor was uneven and felt like you could literally step through it and there was a loose glass shelf above the sink that was completely useless. You have to run the hot tap in the sink in order to use the hot water for the shower which was interesting to say the least.
We were woken up by two charming drunk ladies who arrived back around 1am and just typically were in the room next to ours. Queue the sound of laughing gas cannisters being used and music being played ridiculously loud. Doesn’t help that the walls are paper thin. To be fair, we made a call to reception who did send someone up to ask the women to keep the noise down and it did subdue them.
8am the next morning we were woken up by a leaf blower which was just fantastic following the painful and disturbed sleep we’d already had.
We ended up booking a premier inn for another £200 and as we went to check out there were no staff members to be seen for assistance.
We called the same day to query a refund policy and were told that we would receive a call back from the manager to discuss, never received this call. Tried again on Sunday to be told by someone else that there is no refund policy as we chose to check out. Needless to say we wouldn’t ever “choose” to book this place again.

When we arrived we found the room was dirty. Dirty bed linen, stains on the bed, sticky sides, towel rail and bathroom shelf hanging off the wall. One of the beds springs were poking out of the bed badly so came back with a very bad back from one night. Weather wasn't great so ended up leaving after 1st night when we was meant to stay for three as we couldn't sit in the room as it was so dirty, uncomfy beds and made to feel uncomfortable as had been told to be quiet the night before when we got in when was only talking and had been in the room no longer than ten minutes. Don't think sheets on bed even get changed between guests as when we left in the morning saw a guy cleaning after check out and just spraying the linen nothing being changed! I know you get what you pay before but this is a very outdated, unclean hotel with very grim rooms just stinking of musk. Would definitely avoid this if your thinking about booking.

Checked in, receptionist was very professional, got shown to room. Room was small, dingy and unclean. The mattress had springs almost coming out of it. Asked for a different room only to be shown to one that waa worse! Management shouldn't even be letting it out. Was filthy, paint falling off the walls, dirt on the floor and unwashed and stained bedding. Informed reception and he was very understanding and even called booking.com for us to get our deposit back. Management need to sink some money into this place and learn basic cleanliness and hygiene standards.

At first as I walked in to reception while my partner got the children out the car I though this place looks nice. Greeted by a seemingly nice man who was proud to tell me he use to be in the navy, he had a lot to say about himself. We took the kids straight to the beach before checking in properly and going to our room. When we got back from the beach the receptionist greeted us nicely but soon began to tell us how amazing him and his son this went on for about twenty minutes. I found it very unprofessional after a while as the children where waiting to go to the room and getting bored of the man telling us how brilliant him and his son was. As we got in the room it wasn’t the cleanest but we thought o well it’s only one night. We then went to the shower to find no soap or shower wash. Then getting the shower to work was a nightmare we had to use the tap on the basin to get the temperature right on the shower it was in all honesty unbelievable. I then thought I would make me and my partner a cup of tea which neither of us could drink because the water tasted horrendous wouldn’t have even give I to our dog. We where unable to wash our 1 year out because of the shower. As I sat on the bed I could feel the spring jabbing me in the back. We decided to check out as I handed the card back I told the receptionist that one of the children wasn’t feeling well to spare him what I really thought. As I told him it wasn’t his fault he came back with a rude remark. I just walked away. What a waste. Of £120 that was is all I can say!

Upon arrival car park was filled rubbish, looked like a bunch of crushed up furniture. we entered and were greeted by a man who ran us through what we need to know about the room, wifi etc. we went out almost as soon as we got there as we were attending a concert. when we got back we had a look around and noticed we were provided with no towels in the bathroom, there was an uneven distribution of pillows on each bed and we also noticed dirty stains and even a BLOOD stain on a few of the pillows. the beds were uncomfortable and the room stank of fresh paint which made my mother feel ill and light-headed. there was also a stain on the toilet. when asking for towels we didn’t receive an apology but got our towels non the less. Highly recommend avoiding this hotel. the location was close to the main town/bic but there’s a premier inn 5 mins down the road, if that. Don’t bother here. see below for photos of pillows!

THE worst hotel I have ever stayed in and for £160 per night it was truly a joke, luckily it was only a 1 night stay. The hotel had been used as a quarantine hotel during coronavirus and the room had been used as a kitchen, the rules were still stuck on a cupboard door on a printed piece of paper and not even bothered to be removed. The room itself was thrown together with some make shift beds, there was NO TV at all. The bathroom was small and worn out with absolutely nowhere to hang a wet towel after a shower not even behind the door, no hooks or rails etc. No complimentary shower products and the hotel didn’t even serve a breakfast. For £160 a night I expect a hell of a lot more from a hotel it was pitiful. DO NOT STAY HERE. In the morning after complaining and expecting some kind of discount I was met by the receptionist by a storey of how bad his stay in a holiday in was like that was suppose to make any difference what so ever. Don’t give this hotel your money and just stay in a premier in or travelodge it’s half the price and 10 times the quality.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would.
It was absolutely disgusting.
The room was dark and dingy
The walls and ceilings were so thin you could hear everything, people going up and down the stairs or walking in the room above and the room next to us were clearly enjoying each other as there was a consistent banging on the wall for a quite a while - leading to a very interesting conversation with my young son!
The bathroom was disgustingly dirty and had mould on the ceiling and bathroom tiles.
I was given dirty and stained towels.
I went to get into bed and the bedding was stainer. There was someone else's hair on the under pillows. There is no one in the hotel to help, you have to call a number to speak to anyone.
I was told there was no one there other then security so I would have to wait until tomorrow to sort. I asked for clean sheets to make the bed myself. I stripped the bedroom find more stains including blood stains on the under sheets. And it felt like there was dirt or grit all over the sheet.
Luckily I had booked with booking.com who spoke to the hotel who agreed to refund me 1 night of my 2 night stay even though i haven't stayed there at all - I promptly packed my things and left. As I was so disgusted at all of it.
I then had to try and find a hotel that could accommodate myself and my son for the night as its so busy with the air festival and school holiday .
I paid £75 pn and I wouldn't have even paid £20pn
I wish I'd read the reviews before booking... lesson learnt and I have to hope booking.com can get all my money back

I only stayed at Kensington once and never again, so, sorry, can't help you. I hope your dogs get treated better than I did.
