We are currently staying at the Cransley and enjoying every moment! Beautifully decorated building, with lots of space and full of personal touches. Jonathan and Simon are very welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you, also their two pooches are a lovely touch, as a dog lover I love that they are around the hotel to pet. Our room is very clean, the bedding is extremely soft and exceptionally clean which is so important. Full hospitality tray with fresh drinking water in the room which is a nice touch as well as cotton buds/pads and even a makeup remover flannel. Breakfast was delicious, there are two options; a continental and a full English with vegetarian options available for either £5 or £7.50. Lots of choice of fruits, yoghurts, cereals and pastries and endless toast, tea and coffee. I would definitely recommend this very relaxing, lovely small, quiet hotel which is only a mile or so walk into the centre😊

Stayed for 3 nights in September in room 5 at Cransley. Very good location a short walk to the seafront and close to several restaurants. Well equipped room overlooking the lovely garden with comfortable bed and well stocked tea tray and nice toiletries in the bathroom.Really excellent cooked breakfast at £7.50 if you wanted it (order the day before) or a lighter option at £5 if preferred. Only small drawback is breakfast is served 9 to 10am which is a bit late if you have plans for the day. The hotel has a small car park (room for around 6 cars) plus there is on street parking on Knyveton Road. Jonathan and Simon are wonderful hosts and the dogs George and Hector are lovely too. Definitely recommended.

We booked this weekend away through Buyagift.com as had a voucher for my birthday from my son. Buyagift book their accommodation through Expedia, who apparently don’t pass on your contact details so you don’t receive an email giving you codes to access the property as it is now an apart-hotel! I spent 24 hours liaising with Buyagift to try and get the codes, when I shouldn’t have bothered as when we got here there is a phone number outside for you to phone and the lady sent me the email straight away!
The property has been recently renovated and although we were concerned due to not many reviews and one recent bad one, along with not receiving any emails before we come we were really pleased. We stayed in room 4 which is a garden room with a kitchenette and en-suite shower room.
There is a table and chairs along with two comfy chairs to make it home from home.
We got the train here so didn’t have to worry about parking, although there are spaces out front this was full when we arrived, but on Saturday there were loads of spaces.
Bournemouth town is an easy walk and there is plenty of bars and restaurants to choose from. If you are looking for cheaper accommodation with easy access to the town then I highly recommend.
You will see by the pictures that the recent renovations have been done to a really good standard.
Only thing that didn’t work was the TV - but we think the controller just needed more batteries!
We would come again ☺️

We had a reservation but on arrival the room was not cleaned when we entered. We called them, and the first reaction was to send a picture of the room because that was the only way they could tell the cleaning staff. No apology, no immediate action. We gave them 1 hour but still nothing happened so we had to find new accommodation.

Having never booked a self contained apartment before, coupled with some of the pictures and previous reviews, I was slightly worried about the quality of the apartment, I needn't have worried, too much. The apartment itself was wonderful. So clean and with nearly everything you need for a long weekend stay. Almost!! We stayed in room 11, at the top of the house via a couple of flights of stairs, one set was VERY narrow; but that was ok for us. The decor was good, the kitchenette was very well equipped and the bedroom looked so pretty. Now, the bad points....that bed!!!! Oh my word! Apart from it being a double bed (it was advertised as king-size) it was so, so uncomfortably hard. So hard that I had to put the spare duvet and blanket under the sheet to help alleviate the pain of what was akin to sleeping on the floor. That clearly didn't work so we had to go to the local supermarket the next day and buy a thick mattress topper to go on the bed too. It helped, but it wasn't great. I bumped into one of the cleaners in the hallway the next morning who said they'd even asked the owner to change the bed but it had fallen on deaf ears. The next issue we had was with the sofa bed in the lounge. That has clearly been used, alot, as it was equally as uncomfortable to sit on. Then there was the shower. The shower itself was amazing, so powerful, but unfortunately the spray from the shower went way past the glass screen and would flood the bathroom floor. They just need a longer screen or perhaps add a shower curtain. There was no signage to tell you how to get to the garden even though it advertised 'outdoor furniture'. There was no socket near the bed, even though it was advertised. There is no separate bedroom, it's a click clack sofabed in the lounge. Would we go back? Only if at the bare minimum we could guarantee that the bed and sofa had been upgraded or we chose a different room.

Good bits - beautiful arts and crafts building in a quiet predominantly residential street. Rooms spotlessly clean and nicely furnished.
Not so good - this is no longer the b&b as seen on the website prior to booking or detailed in the literature to be found in the room. It has no reception, Lounge or garden access. It has been sold to a company that do air bnb and so all rooms (they call them apartments but they are not) are self catered. No on-site support, rooms are not serviced during your stay. There are 13 rooms and only 5 parking spaces. Room 13 which we were given was a very small attic room. The bathroom was equally small and the shower so tiny that my husband could not fit in it or stand upright due to the low bulkhead (he it's not a big man). It is no longer an adults only establishment and we were kept awake on the first night by a little toddler crying until the early hours of the morning.
The hotel across the road is not linked to the Cransley despite what the literature leads you to believe and you cannot use its facilities although they will let you purchase breakfast from them.
Good if you want to do your own thing but if you want a little personal attention then this is not the place to go.

What a fantastic hotel!!
Immaculate, clean and tastefully decorated.
Easy to access via codes.
I had a small problem that took one phone call to rectify to Emma who was so very professional and obliging. Thanks Emma!

Just spent 3 lovely nights here in room 7.
Check in was easy with door codes.
The standard of cleanliness was outstanding.
The bed was clean and very comfortable. The kitchenette was a wonderful addition and made my stay easier as I didn't have to go out for breakfast as I had early starts and late finishes.
The only thing I felt was missing was maybe a tea towel and a couple of coasters as I worried I'd mark the furniture.
