Park Inn by Radisson Bournemouth appears to offer a central location praised by many guests for its proximity to the town and beach, despite some noting the surrounding areas could use more care. Travelers often criticize the rooms for their size and lack of maintenance, although the bedding and showers receive positive feedback.
While some guests appreciate the friendly staff, others are disappointed with slow service. The hotel's atmosphere and amenities leave several guests wanting, with remarks about unappealing food and a lackluster vibe.

Detailed Reviews
Arrived to see four unsavoury looking chaps outside smoking and wondered if the hotel was being used to hold asylum seekers, but it turns out they were actually the hotel staff.
Arrived at reception and someone was there complaining about the heat on the 3rd floor and asking for a room change but the reception team were clearly used to handling complaints and fobbed the guest off with "all rooms are the same and we're full".
Elevator (still) not working and our room was on the 3rd floor. Paid in advance or I would have just walked out again, as room was >30DegC, with tiny old iron windows which would only open a crack. View was of of cigarette butts on the "balcony" and an old outddor pool, with grit and mud in it. Shower opening was too small to get into and even if you did, you couldn't move around once you got inside.
Late arrival (thanks again Ryannair) so we ordered pizzas in the bar as it was the only thing available from an extensive menu. 12 minutes later and a £4 Cicago Town frozen one available from any UK supermarket was placed in front of me, which was also undercooked. 12 minutes later our second pizza arrived, also undercooked, and their "chef" clearly only has an oven suitable for one pizza at a time. >£30 for £8 worth of undercooked of pizzas. A real comedy of errors this place, which is very far from any other Radisson hotel I have stayed in. It was cheap (£80sh without breakfast) and clean(ish). Jefferson behind the lobby bar was friendly and helpful. He's the only reason for the 2nd star in this review.

+1
We were shown a modern smart looking hotel in the ad. And got a very run down looking place nothing like the photo. Reception friendly . No lift working. A bar with 3 or 4 tables and a huge empty space. No air con only a plug in. Small cubicle shower with water very low pressure. No fridge. Just a metal frame to make tea/ coffee and hang clothes.
We did not expect this from the photo they show in the ad so beware

Definitely not what we were expecting as nothing like the pictures advertised. A very run down looking place. Room situated on the 3rd floor, lift wasn’t working (apparently hasn’t been working since April). The staff member behind the desk was apologetic and insisted on carrying our bags up the stairs. The room was very small with a huge water stain/ crack in the ceiling that looked like it had been patched up by a cowboy builder or DIY. The shower cubicle was so small it was almost impossible to shower. No towels provided to shower, although we were given some after asking for them. Breakfast very poor, most of the ‘hot’ food was actually cold. Cheap and nasty sausages. Staff were standing there watching us eat which was very uncomfortable. Sadly this felt like staying in a hostel rather than a hotel. Would not recommend.

This hotel is perfect for a quick overnight stop. The rooms are modern and clean but fairly small Our room was warm as you might expect in July but they supply a floor standing fan that kept us nice and cool. Not a bad option if you are paying less than £100.

We were greeted or arrival with the news that the lift was out of order. Breakdowns happen! It was the care and concern of the receptionist and manager that needs to be highlighted. Noticing my walking stick they offered a first floor room or, if I found that difficult, a full refund. We were offered coffee and time to consider. We stayed and that care and concern continued throughout our stay and, on departure, we were handed complimentary snack bars. Such care puts this place on our list for future visits - even if the lift isn't working!

Sadly I did not read the trip advisor reviews before I booked. If I had I would not have stayed here. It is as bad as most contributors say. Check in took 15 minutes then after going to my room in the very small lift my key didn't work. Back to reception to be told the key should work. I pointed out that it didn't and it took a further 10 minutes for reception to get it activated. Room adequate but the bathroom was not clean and the lighting was inadequate. I thought I would eat in the hotel so went to the bar and sat for 15 minutes with no one there to serve me. I went to reception to ask if the bar was manned to be told the bar person was also doing the cooking but he could get me a drink. I said I wanted to eat. He offered to get me a drink. I again said I wanted to eat only to be told that was fine but would have too wait an hour for food. There were four tables occupied three with food on the table so why I would have to wait an hour I have no idea. The breakfast was buffet style cheap sausages (not sure if they should be called sausages as they didn't contain meat) powdered scrambled egg and a selection of greasy bacon hash browns and beans. The mushrooms were good everything else was average at best. To add insult to injury they charge £10 a night to park in their car park. Unless there are no other hotels available and you don't have a tent with you DO NOT STAY IN THIS HOTEL. I have always found Radisson Hotels to be of an acceptable standard hence choosing this one on the name. This hotel lets Radisson down and now I know Radisson allow hotels of this standard to carry their name I will probably never book a Radisson again.

This poor old place has seen better days, even on first arrival, someone needs to get out in that car park and sweep up the pine needles, and pick up the litter. The welcome isn’t exactly very warm, but it’s ok. Breakfast wasn’t included in our booking, and we weren’t even asked if we’d like to book a breakfast. At least the room was clean and tidy. The shower room was very narrow with no place to put your stuff, but a nice shower. It suited us as we weren’t there long, but would only suit a very short stay. Fantastic location for the beach. Wouldn’t stay here again.

I had always associated Radisson with 'upmarket' but no more.
The Park Inn is a rather odd hotel. The radiator in my room didn't seem to work but there was a mobile heater which, luckily, did - and very effectively. The shower is, shall we say, cosy. The bed is fine. The restaurant is only open for breakfast although food is available in the bar. Another oddity. The bar area is faced off by a very large space, empty save for a stage. Makes for a very unwelcoming ambience.
Breakfast is leisurely, mainly because one person seems to do reception, the bar and the restaurant, however, the food is fine.
The (2) staff members that I met were friendly.
Can't say i was a fan of the music in the restaurant at 7.30 - which I could hear from my room.
Basically a hotel if you are on a budget and just looking for a place to rest your head overnight. Cost was £73 including breakfast.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location and the staff but that’s where the positives end. From the outside the hotel looks run down and in serious need of some TLC, the reception area is quite well presented and staff on reception very friendly.
We were allocated room 213 which was right next to the lifts. The room smelt musty and had a strong smell of stale cigarettes. The rooms are modern and I see the vision here but they’re not completed to a high standard at all. The only good thing was the shower was hot and powerful. The bed was hard and pillows as flat as a pancake.
We needed an early night as had a very early start the following morning and were woken up at 12:30am by the sound of the fire alarms going off. This of course put us into a panic, we made our way into the hallway to see all guests congregated puzzled as to what was going on. The fire doors were propped open and there was much confusion. After a few minutes a guest came up to advise that it’s a false alarm and we should all go back to bed. No member of staff advised us of what had gone on.
When we checked out the following morning a very helpful member of staff on reception advised us that someone was boiling their kettle under the smoke alarm in their room so there was nothing to worry about and that a staff member should’ve told all guests this last night but this wasn’t the case.
I would definitely not stay here again unless it has some serious TLC.

Very, very tired hotel in need of a full makeover. Just some of the things observed:
Room:
Nearly every floorboard squeaked (annoying guests below and either side?)
Bedside spot lights didn't work
Shower controls - very low cold water pressure led to controls not working properly
Tiny shower cubicle
Multiple bleach-like stains on the carpet
Stained bed linen
Basin water pipe hanging off the wall.
Elsewhere:
Tiny lift. Barely enough room for two persons
Emergency exit fire door on 2nd floor stairwell held open with a door wedge for 3 days
Bar had run out of both draft lagers. Camden Pale ale was stale. 'Draft' Guinness actually came from cans via a contraption on the bar to suggest it was draft.
Roof leaking onto the dancefloor
Breakfast full english buffet every day was barely lukewarm
