We booked The Green House signature Taste Break between lock-downs last year and then had to change the date more times than we dare can remember, the last one being because I had caught Covid. The staff could not be more patient and understanding with all of our postponements! Finally, we arrived! Had a lovely two night stay, starting with afternoon tea, very yummy – especially the scones and the lemon curd which makes my mouth water just thinking of it! The second night we had dinner which was just gorgeous, fish really fresh – my partner had John Dory and I had the roast cod with crayfish and lobster bisque. Very comfortable bed with lovely organic soft cotton linens, breakfasts were lovely as well, staff very professional and friendly. The whole establishment looks well cared for and very clean. There are so many hotels in Bournemouth to choose from, we really do not fancy anywhere else! This was our second time visiting this hotel, again we had a small double, yes, it is small (shower room was a great size & larger rooms are available) but not a problem as we wanted to be out. This little break is such great value for money and this establishment’s location it is so easy to find, easy to walk to the seafront, shops and bars together with visiting places like Hengistbury Head. It will not be long before we stay again, this time bringing our bikes as during the out of season months one is able to cycle from Bournemouth to Sandbanks and the other way to Hengistbury Head. Thank you Green House, your staff are a credit to you!

A really wonderful hotel. Check-in was seamless and Alex on reception happily helped us to find a parking space (there was a wedding taking place so it was busy). Our room was lovely; we'd asked for a quieter location and that's exactly what we got. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and the sheets and duvet cover so, so soft. Luxurious hand wash, cream and shower gel, and fluffy towels provided. Breakfast was perfect; fresh coffee, delicious pastries and attentive waiting staff. All in all, a perfect retreat and we'll definitely be back.

We had a very enjoyable stay on a Sunday evening, with dinner in the restaurant. Service and the room quality were both very good. Somewhat limited parking as mentioned in earlier reviews but a minor niggle and overall it deserves a high rating.

We stayed for a couple of nights and have stayed 2/3 times pre covid. The room we stay in is huge and clean but it is overpriced for Bournemouth. The service and food this visit was SO disappointing. The welcome from reception yesterday was of a really poor standard. We arrived at the hotel before 3pm and our room wasn’t ready. Not a problem so we asked if our luggage could be stored. The receptionist did this and did check in formalities and said he would call us when our room was ready. By 5pm we still hadn’t received a call & tried to call the hotel. No answer. When we arrived a family of 5 were ahead of us and began checking in with the same receptionist who had forgotten to call us. We politely stood and waited hoping he would let us take our luggage as we’d already done check in formalities earlier. But no, he could see us but we waited and waited. It was puzzling that he didn’t call another staff to help him at the desk. After 15 mins I went & found staff myself to get our luggage from the cupboard right by the reception desk!! Common sense and being thoughtful would have been useful here. Breakfast is included and for a room costing over £200 a night it really is not worth waking up for. It is so incredibly stingy and mean. In fact quite an insult. There was no fresh fruit or juice this morning. The eggs are minuscule and like juice and fruit there is no rye or sourdough bread either. The menu needs to reflect these are missing from it and not advertise them as available. (These things are freely available in the rest of Bournemouth). My breakfast of fried egg & avocado was so tiny and instead of sourdough I was given a tiny piece of baguette. Husbands breakfast was just as stingy. Come on The Green house you need to get your act together and stop shopping at cheap supermarkets (Aldi yoghurts)! & provide a decent breakfast of decent quality food - your customers are looking for thoughtful service for the price charged. Sadly we won’t be back & feel we were ripped off :(

My daughter treated my husband and I to a Cream Tea which I have to say was perfect! We were greeted by lovely staff at reception and taken through by Pedro to the dining room. Fabulous, attentive service from Pedro - helping me out as I forgot to mention when booking, about food allergies! Absolutely lovely sandwiches and gorgeous cakes and the scones were the best I have EVER had!!! Absolutely perfect Cream Tea! However If I had any negative points they would be; the outside of the hotel was not so clean. Dirty hotel sign, a little scruffy looking, crates piled up outside a door (in the main carpark). Where I was sitting overlooked an outside window/cill that had not been cleaned in a very long time and flakes of paint on the carpet at the front door. BUT because of the fabulous Team and superb food I will give 5 stars!!!!
