Reviews summary
This summary was created by AI, based on recent reviews.
Powered by AI
Premier Inn Bournemouth East Cliff is often celebrated for its welcoming atmosphere and modern charm, with numerous guests commending its spotless rooms and inviting common areas, though a minor refresh in some spots wouldn't go amiss. Its prime location near the town center and beaches is a highlight, although parking can be a bit of a puzzle. While opinions on value and service vary—with some guests mentioning reasonable rates and friendly staff, and others pointing out extra charges and inconsistent service—cleanliness generally receives high marks.
Room experiences differ, with some guests reporting maintenance and noise issues, while others are content with their accommodations. Opinions on amenities are split, with praise for the overall comfort and breakfast experience, but some dissatisfaction with the in-room provisions and staff responsiveness.

Hotel's Favourite
I have stayed at many Premier Inn hotels over the years. Without a doubt this is definitely one of the best.
Excellent facilities throughout, lovely room with fully functional amenities, comfortable bed/pillows/linens. Beautiful sea views were a great bonus as was the handy luggage storage facility.
Outstanding customer service from check-in to check-out, tasty breakfast with a superb range of choices, clean and tidy cafe/bar/restaurant area with a welcome, easy going vibe. Overall it was a great stay, so much so that I was tempted to book another night and extend the weekend.
Due to it’s popularity there are slight signs of wear here and there and although these tend to detract from the aesthetic the functional presentation is fairly intact. The place is clean and well ordered with professional standards exemplified. I was more than impressed and will certainly consider making this a priority stay next time I’m in Bournemouth, which I hope and trust will be very soon.
This is a remarkably proficient hotel that does everything right, making it a real credit not only to the company brand but an overall winning option for the locality.
Compliments all round and moreover a genuine endorsement that’s truly deserved.
4.5/5.

Stranded in Bournemouth when all trains were cancelled due to 'storm Dennis' this weekend. Walked to this hotel as closest to the train station and the receptionist was extremely helpful finding one last room for myself, my mother and my two grand children. Housekeeping were also able to put an additional 'put up' bed in the room so we could all sleep in a bed. The hotel was very busy and the receptionist was dealing with lots of difficult issues while I was waiting and I must say dealing with them very calmly and professionally. We had a room on floor 10 which was great as you could see right out over the roof tops to the sea. Very clean too.

Love this hotel - have stayed a few times before and always impressed with it. It's a nicely presented and relatively new building, so comes as you would expect for the standard of a new Premier Inn. Clean and tidy room and bathroom with amazing floor to ceiling windows the whole length of the exterior wall, looking over Holdenhurst and the sea in the distance (on the top floor - request it if you can!).
The communal areas were all very safely assigned and checkin/checkout were prompt and easy, with other guests observing distance measures etc. All in all a great trip and very much recommend :)

This review is for my dad who stayed seven nights over the Christmas period.
Check in was a breeze, you can choose to use one of the self serve machines or the reception desk which is manned by staff. We opted to speak to a friendly and professional staff member. It was a quick process and dad was asked what floor he would like. We opted for the tenth, he got a large room with a stunning view. Great customer service I thought.
The room was clean with ample towels and included two mugs for tea and coffee and a few sachets of coffee/tea (dad did have to keep asking for extra milk and coffee during his stay). It’s a shame there are no fridges in the rooms as dad would have liked to have used fresh milk and kept his bottled water cold.
The bed was comfortable, the heating worked well and the TV large. Dad did say the Internet wasn’t very good. Maybe why they charge £5.00 for the ultimate service?
Dad did have to ask to get his room cleaned, due to Covid housekeeping is on request. This surprised me as I am not aware of other hotels in Bournemouth doing this? (I am local to Bomo). However he got his room cleaned on the third day and was given an extra towel which he appreciated.
We ate in the restaurant on his last night, dad had the fish and chips and thoroughly enjoyed it. He had the breakfast a few times but said he wasn’t as impressed.
Dad enjoyed his stay here and I would book this hotel for him again. I do think it could do with a fresh lick of paint as the walls in his bathroom had spots of cracked paint and I noticed stains in the paint close to the air con.
The staff are great, the location is great so over all very good.
Thank you Premier Inn.

Having stayed in many PI this one was just as good as all the others I’ve stayed, fast efficient check in with polite staff, rooms clean and spacious, comfortable beds, we also stayed on floor 9 and had lovely sea views.
If I was to have any negative and it’s only slight due to covid no house keeping so if you stay for several nights be prepared to not have beds made or clean bedding, mugs in rooms are not changed we were told to leave dirty towels outside room and request clean towels at reception, we asked each night for extra teabags milk etc and we were given plenty.
Breakfast is nice but very busy and replenishing food took some time, staff seem to be very busy and overwhelmed some mornings.
Parking in this premier inn is charged at £6 per 24 hours in a secure car park we thought this to be very reasonable.
Would we come here again yes definitely.

Stopped here for a four night stay a few weeks ago.
The hotel is handily placed for the railway station and there is also and Asda with McDonalds nearby too so if you're hungry, there's a good option.
Also worth noting is that the hotel is in a 'student area' so nearby shops etc tend to get busy.
The room was comfortable and spacious as I've come to expect from Premier Inn and it is furnished to a high standard. I find it baffling you have to ask reception if you want your room cleaned which makes it a pain as often there is no one there. Travelodge just require you to put a hanger on your door handle.
I did consider eating there but on the first night the restaurant was closed until 6pm! Not only that but you have to faff about booking a table at reception - again considering no one was there half the time and it took a while for someone to arrive, it just wasn't worth the effort.
I found the car parking fine but spaces are limited. Good value though.
Only reasons for knocking it down a mark is because of the lack of staff and the daft reasons having to book a table for dinner when the restaurant was empty half of the time.

First ever time visiting a premier inn and very impressed. It was a last minute decision to stay and being a university student I knew exactly where the hotel was. We was given a room on the top floor which had stunning views of Bournemouth beach which looked fabulous in the sun. The hotel was clean and tidy, social distancing measures were followed throughout. A little disappointed that the 24 hour number wasn’t picked up after calling 9 times to enquire about booking for the restaurant in the evening however can acknowledge the staff were likely busy. The location from the town centre was just a short drive and would be a 20 minute walk. Ideal for couples, business trips, families and those just wanting some me time! Already looking at booking to come back near Christmas!

Stayed here for two nights as saw a show at Bournemouth international centre, this is a fairly new premier inn as very modern and new feel to it, reception were very friendly and very helpful, hotel has lifts that work with your room card so you scan your card and select which floor you need and the screen you scan your card on allocates your lift out of the 3, room was clean and a good size had a nice view and could see the sea as on the 9th floor. Good bus service into town outside the hotel which takes approximately 5-10 mins to get into the centre of town also only 10 min walk from Bournemouth train station so very good location, Breakfast was good had the normal premier inn of hot breakfast also cereals fruit etc. Would definitely stay here again if visiting Bournemouth

We stayed for a Friday night as it was only a 20 min walk from the o2. We were a party of 3 girls and as the rooms were only £39 we each had our own room. Very comfy bed in a lovely clean and fresh room. Excellent secure parking at only £5 per nights stay.
Friendy helpful staff, can not fault anything.

Hi Nicki its a 13 minute walk (0.6 Miles) from the hotel. But there is a bus stop outside the hotel which takes you to Boscombe which takes 4 minutes. The buses are 1, 1a, m2. If you read my review it will explain the best bus tickets to buy.
There are a couple of rooms with sea glimpses, but this hotel is not sea front.
Yes definitely
It's only for Premier Inn guests. There is a pay and display car park opposite although if you're intending on parking overnight, you're doing it at your own risk (reputation of break-ins).
