Stayed in the lodges for a four night break they are just idillic. You can here the sounds of the waves at night, bifold doors connect the inside to the outside and private access to the huts. They offer such lovely touches like towels and linen, use of laundry, use of a communal bbq, games, toilet roll, milk and even biscuits on arrival. Loved being here, had breakfast on the deck watching the sea, we literally haven’t felt this relaxed in a long time. Lodges are super comfortable and warm, you can even borrow additional heater if needed, staff friendly and will try to accommodate your needs.
Additional info to note when booking a lodge:
There is a disability lodge (lodge 15) which is accessed by ramps rather than steps.
Dogs are accepted at some lodges but you have to book “dog friendly lodge”.
Lodges do not have ovens (hob and microwave only).
There is a full itemised list of what’s in the lodges on the website (they even have hairdryers and cafetière).
Access to the lodges is via very steep hill behind, if bad weather and promenade road closed (open specific times on change over days to bring car to lodges to drop and collect luggage) you have to bring all luggage down the hill (they do lend trolleys but there are only approx 4 to service all lodges), wouldn’t recommend hill for anyone with breathing difficulties.
I would highly recommend this accommodation and will stay again.

We booked a stay at Bournemouth beach lodges after coming across on the website ‘cool stays’ & after many abroad holiday cancellations this looked like the perfect UK spot!
Wow! We were blown away and definitely exceeded expectations!
We travelled as a couple but invited my parents for two nights. We were greeted by our names by the lovely staff at reception.
The lodge was immaculate inside, fully equipped with everything you need for a week away! There is no oven but they have a hob and a microwave also lots of other amenities such as tea/coffee, kitchen roll, salt/pepper etc. There is plenty of towels/bed linen/cushions.
The lodge is perfectly located directly on the beach front, the view is incredible. From amazing sunrises to beautiful sunsets you will never get bored of the view! Perfect for families with children too with the location being directly on the beach.
There isn’t any parking at the bottom and there is a steep hill to walk down/up to parking. This may be difficult for those with walking difficulties. You can bring the car down on check in/out days between 8-10am which is ideal for your luggage and packing the car up.
The nearest place to pick up a taxi is Boscombe pier which is a short 10min walk away down the beach front. Bournemouth is approx 30min walk down the beach front so I would recommend a taxi if heading into town for the night!
The lodge is in a perfect location to explore, we visited Christchurch, Poole, Durdle Door, Old Harry Rocks, Sandbanks - These are all within 1 hour drive, Old Harry access by boat trip from Poole Harbour. All an absolute must!
Supermarkets are all driving close proximity, would recommend stocking up for your stay to save the trips up and down the hill with your shopping!
I would say 4 adults in the lodge is a little bit of a squeeze, ideally 2 adults and 2 children.
Overall we absolutely loved our stay at Bournemouth beach lodges. We cannot wait to book back again next year with more of our family and friends! If you are looking to book here you won’t be disappointed!

“You have reached your destination” was right on point. You’ll see a Bournemouth Beach Lodges sign (pictured) and if you don’t stray off the solar lighted path you’ll be there in a jiffy. It’s quick but downhill so hold on tight to the luggage! If you have lots of little bags you may want to grab a trolley on check in to reduce the trips- your thighs will thank you! The views on the way down welcome you in the best way.
Our lodge (21) was absolutely gleaming and spotless and that is the first time I can say that in all the years of hotels and lodges. Super standards.
As a parent, my eyes lit up when I saw the Netflix and YouTube button on the remote. Hallelujah.
The storage space in the lodge was clever and plentiful. Another really impressive aspect of the lodge.
The child safety gate is a good touch for young children (or sleepwalkers!). The fact that you have a gate on your decking area will keep crawlers, walkers and furry friends safe too!
Location wise, the beach is really quiet compared to Bournemouth beach which we prefer. The views aren’t interrupted by a swarm of humans! Boscombe pier is less than 10 minutes away and before that there are eating options too.
There is a small shopping centre in Boscombe for supermarket needs (Lidl, savers, wilko, pound land etc) as well as clothes.
The land train runs pier to pier and the times are shown on the office window. It’s a nice ride and dog friendly too. The fact it’s free for those staying in the lodge (just show your key) is one of the best perks!
Definitely recommend bringing the car round on check out to pack up- quick, easy and less painful!
Thank you Bournemouth Beach Lodges for a lovely stay!
Tips for improvement-
•Shower door was really stiff and hard to open at times. Older people and children may struggle.
•Lots of light coming through in the mornings 🙁
• Cuttlery and bowls/cups for children would be a good addition
• It’s a shame there’s no arrangement for Uber Eats, Deliveroo etc to deliver to the top of the zigzag.
Finally, the cafe Walls is ridiculously over priced. £2.80 for a small latte and £2.60 for a portion of chips the size of a McDonald’s happy meal is just criminal. Shame as it spoilt our plans for fish and chips on the beach.

Dear charziyanahc, I would first of all like to say thank you ever so much for the glowing review, it was a lovely read. I will be passing the feedback about the cleanliness to our Housekeeping Manager and this will be shared with the team. The tips for improvement were also very helpful as we are always looking for ways to enhance our guests stays. It is a shame about the food delivery regrettably it is mainly due to our location and the restrictions for vehicles on the promenade that we do not have the Uber eats or Deliveroo services. Food can always be requested to be delivered to the pier. The light in the mornings I sadly can not assist with, we do advise to have the blinds closed fully to reduce the amount of light entering the lodge. I will take on the feedback for the children's cutlery and plates that is extremely useful thank you. I do hope the price of a latte and chips hasn't put you off coming to us, we are more than happy to provide you with some alternative options for this next time. I do hope the we are able to welcome you back to the lodges very soon. Best Wishes Laura

We have spent 4 nights here and loved every minute of it. The check-in was really fast, and we opened the lodge and found it to be spotlessly clean. The layout has been really thought through, maximising the space. The upstairs open plan bedroom, with the single and double bed is a lovely place to sleep with the windows at the front and back left open at night. It's great hearing the waves crashing on the beach at 3am.
The location of the lodges is perfect, where the access from your vehicle at the cliff top is a few minutes walk, and the section of beach is far enough from Boscombe that it's never busy. In fact in the early morning and evening you can have a section of the beach to yourself most days. And the beach is stunning.. the best soft sand and perfect for children to build sandcastles. The land train was a pleasant surprise, being free for people staying at the lodges, connecting Boscombe to Bournemouth pier and back. You can also get Yellow buses from Boscombe pier if you choose to or the land train is too busy. And so to summarise, it has been the perfect escape to the beach that I could have hoped for, right next to it, plenty to do if you want to get to Bournemouth, or great for just relaxing on the beach opposite your lodge.
It was expensive but without doubt will visit again.

Looking for a relaxing and truly special beach hut experience? Look no further! Yes, it’s pricey, but my goodness it’s amazing.
Bournemouth beach lodges have brought beach hut breaks into the 21st century. Unlike much of what I’ve seen elsewhere, there’s no messing around with electric meters, bringing your own towels and bed linen, or dealing with unfriendly hosts.
They get everything right; stunning, modern and clean accommodation, exceptionally friendly staff, amazing location and everything you need inside the lodge down to extra special touches like a blanket for sitting outside and a game a jenga for a rainy day.
It’s fairly remote (that’s the beauty of it), so just be organised with food and everything you need (we got an online shop delivered) and you won’t be disappointed.

An amazing place to stay. We had 3 lodges for our group of 12. When entering the lodges it felt like walking into a brand new lodge. Everything was spotless. Everything has been thought of and everything you will need is there.
The view is amazing and listening to the sea all night is so peaceful.
Being able to use the sea train into Bournemouth free with our lodge key added to the fun of our weekend away.
The lodges are a 10 minute walk to Boscombe Pier and 25 minute walk to Bournemouth. Its a lovely flat beach promenade walk or pick up the train from Boscombe Pier.
There is a Harvester at Boscombe Pier if you don't fancy cooking along with other beach side food bars.
The lodges also have electric barbecues which we didn't get round to using.
Parking is free at the top of the cliff with a 10 minute walk down. There are trolleys you can borrow to bring your luggage down or if you the you are able to drive along the promenade to drop your luggage off and then take you car off to park. We done this when packing up to go home.
We would definitely want to stay in the lodges again. Thank you to all the friendly and helpful staff that make this an amazing place to stay.

We always go away for NYE. This year we wanted to take the dog and decided to try out the beach lodges. We are so glad we did.
The huts are at the bottom of a slight cliff but what does anyone expect when staying in a beach hut? The staff however provide you with a wheel trolley to be able to bring your stuff down or you can drive onto the beach around check in and check out time.
We are always open minded when staying in alternative accommodations but here we did not need to be. Every single detail and necessity was thought of and in the lodge. We could not have asked or wanted for anything else. The design is truly incredible.
The staff cannot do anymore for you if they could and greeted us with huge smiles. They even provided us with prosecco, biscuits, tea, coffee and milk to get us started! Which we truly appreciated.
The decking area is great in size and the dog loves laying out here after a long stroll down the beach.
Sitting on the deck in the morning was fantastic and being in bed and hearing the waves at night!
We miss number 6 and absolutely loved our stay and will most certainly be back again!
Thank you to all staff for truly making our NYE stay wonderful - you guys really do a great job!
(P.s my parents stayed Christmas week in the accessible lodge and they could not rate it highly enough and will also be returning)

Location was really beautiful and the staff seemed nice and polite. Lodges were small as expected, there was 3 of us and I think if there was any more people it would be a struggle to be honest. Main reason for low score was due to no WiFi being available. Complained and the reason given was the WiFi isn’t strong enough to cope with a fully booked site ( The lodges apear to be fully booked until September) So They should probably upgrade the WiFi or not advertise it on the website . £120 a night and no WiFi isn’t really good enough tbh. In the end we had to buy data bundles off our phone provider.

Beautiful Beach front lodges, with direct access to the lovely sandy beach. Parking is unavailable directly outside lodges, but free parking available on cliff top. Bit of a trek with luggage up/ down a steep path. However a pull along truck was available to borrow for luggage transport , so only one trip needed.
Lodges are compact, but with a well thought out design with lots of storage; So did not feel cramped. Upstairs single bed is somewhat small, but perfectly suitable for a petite adult.
The cleanliness of the lodge could not be faulted. Utensils & bedding appeared immaculately clean. Kitchen & bathroom sparkled.
A place I will definitely return to. Wish I could have stayed longer.

We loved the lodges so much in 2019 we came back again and this time brought the whole family!! Absolutely perfect having 3 lodges, next door to each other, giving privacy and space when needed but fabulous memories made of bedtime stories all together. It was better than I remembered and had forgotten how relaxing it is to stay there and hearing the sounds of the sea all day and night!!! The zigzag hadn't got any less steep - my calves were not thanking me, but only 2 trips up & down needed having borrowed a trolley, a godsend!!! We discovered the 'bistro on the beach' for the best fish and chips, only 1.6 miles away, a lovely evening stroll along the beach. The beach was as empty as before, even on the hot days, a little piece of heaven & we loved the huge selection of ice creams & scrummy chips made by the friendly team in the 'cafe'. We will be back xx

Hello,
Many apologies for the delayed response. We have many restaurants and takeaways in the area of Boscombe and Southbourne.
Due to our location deliveries directly to the lodges can be an issue. They can however be delivered to the cliff top directly above the lodges or Boscombe pier for collection.
Best Wishes
