Very friendly at reception Room Mega clean Bed very comfortable but pillows very hard All staff friendly especially Edyta Bus service outside Hotel Lots of disinfectant points around hotel Bar prices reasonable to high
Easy to find. Onsite car parking limited, there is free on street parking at the back of the hotel. All staff were welcoming, smiley and happy. Buffet breakfast was varied and tasty except the vege sausages which were dry and hard. Communal door was very loud when closing, it woke us several times in the night. The bed was very comfortable and the room was as you'd expect - adequate for a short stay.
This is a very well maintained Travelodge and this is our 12th stay in 10 years. We had such a great time we’re going back in October. Particular thanks to Karol, the manager who was really friendly and welcoming and couldn’t do enough to make sure we had a great holiday. Our family room was very clean and spacious and the bathroom had thick, fluffy bath towels. We had breakfast in the restaurant each day which was freshly cooked and always kept topped up. I’d say Karol does a great job in keeping the whole place running efficiently. The house keeping team are great as were the restaurant staff in fact all the staff in the Torquay Travelodge are really friendly and helpful. There’s plenty of car parking (charge applies) with a car park at the front and rear of the building. There is no air conditioning in the rooms (only in Reception and Bar areas) so the rooms do get warm in hot weather as the window is safety restricted but there’s an electric fan in the room. Torre station is only about a 3 minute walk to the Travelodge whereas the main Torquay railway station would be at least 30 minute uphill walk (or a £5 taxi ride). The number 12 bus stops right by the Travelodge as well.…
Decent hotel compare to cost. Only issue limited parking space. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. There is a bus route just in front of the hotel to the marina, we parked our car at hotel and used the bus.
We stayed in a family room with our grandchildren and the room was clean and although basic perfect for our 4 night stay. There is no wardrobe only a small hanging rail with a few hangers but that was fine for a short stay. The wi-fi is £3 a day which I feel should be free. Also the car park is perfect outside….we left the car there the whole stay. Again it’s £4 a day and I feel it should be free. Bit of a pain having to remember to keep topping it up when due to expire each day! The Buffett breakfast was very good and the kids ate free which was a bonus! And the staff!!!!……..truly amazing!!!! Nothing was too much trouble for them and they were all very friendly and helpful. A rare thing at the moment ! Would definitely return for a visit again and definitely recommend.
