Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

This was my 3rd time staying at Trengilly Wartha. The first time was back in 2010 with my dog, then again in 2021 on a motorbike and again in September 2023 also on the bike. Made welcome each time. Bed, good food & beer, what's not to like? I especially appreciated the location, off the beaten track. You're certainly not likely to pass the place unless you knew it was there. Room was perfectly clean & tidy with the usual TV, kettle, shower & toilet. Had everything I needed. Would recommend and no doubt I'll be back.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 2 nights here, the owners and staff were polite and helpful and friendly, the food was wonderful, decent real food and well presented, especially the duck. Loved what we saw of the 6 acres of naturally kept gardens and fields, not all prim and proper and the fact that it was all dog friendly. Will definitely recommend

We ate here during a week in Maenporth. Really lovely food, amazing staff and lovely setting. We will return next year I'm sure. Trengilly was highly recommended by the hotel we were staying and we totally agree. We'll worth the windy lanes!

My wife and i went to celebrate our 30th anniversary. The food and staff were absolutely brilliant and couldn't do enough. They even left a bottle of wine for us. Highly recommend this place. We enjoyed our time here and will go back again. Many thanks again. From Ian and Donna

We, a family of four adults, one child and a dog stayed at the Trengilly Wartha Inn while walking the south west coastal path. A lovely Inn nestled in a very secluded area and almost impossible to find if you´re unfamiliar with the area. We received a warm, friendly welcome, excellent pub food in the evening, comfortable beds and a great breakfast. We can thoroughly recommend the Trengilly Wartha Inn.

An interesting place to stay with comfortable bed and very tasty breakfast. Staff was friendly and welcoming Good choices on the bar/restaurant menu and local beer on the tap. We walked around the ground and was surprised to find part of it is like a rain forest. Will stay there again for sure.

Thank you so much to all the staff of this wonderful Inn, you made my mother’s birthday all the more special by the friendliness and attention of all your staff. The surprise birthday cake was a lovely way to end the evening. As always the food was excellent and beautifully presented.

Stayed two days as part of short break. Comfortable small double room with plenty of tea, milk and other beverages. Excellent choice on breakfast, bar and restaurant menus. Food was served quickly and was invariably tasty. Local beers on tap (which I had never before tried) were well worth drinking. Staff very welcoming, helpful and professional. The inn is extremely popular so booking a table for an evening meal would seem to be essential. All in all a very enjoyable stay and I'll try to visit again later this year.

We have stayed here several times and have never been disappointed. The welcome is friendly and all the staff are very helpful. The pub is a bit remote but it is well worth making the effort to visit this very genuine place. The food is excellent, not a huge menu, but something to suit most people. The owners haven't turned the pub into another smart restaurant. Rather they have made sure it stays a proper pub where everyone is welcome whether just having a drink or eating a meal. There is a great atmosphere here. We stayed in one of the new apartments which was very clean and comfortable. Dogs are welcome and as we had our own entrance it made staying easy. The countryside is beautiful and there are plenty of places to explore. Our favourite is to walk straight from the pub to Scott's Quay on the Helford estuary - our dog loves it too! If you want something a bit different and genuinely welcoming with good food and accommodation we would highly recommend a visit here
