Detailed Reviews
Stayed in the Cozy Nest B&B in Sept, 2016. I was in the first floor of the house. The rooms were spotless, and I had the living room area with satellite TV and a gas fireplace all to myself. The view of the lake from every room was beautiful. Breakfast was continental, and consisted of toast, yogurt, juice, coffee and cereal.
The only downside was that the suite is open to the hosts' home through an open stairwell, so I felt like I had to tiptoe around at night and early in the morning when I was preparing my breakfast.
Overall, excellent value, and I would stay here again.

Cindy greeted me warmly and showed me the house and to my room. The entire lower floor of the house is dedicated to the B&B; there are 3 bedrooms although she told me she doesn't always rent all three, depending on the guest situation since there's only one shared bathroom. (I happened to be the only guest for the one night I was there.) There's also a very nice common area and she has set up a kitchenette for the morning continental breakfast (Cindy also made some homemade bread the night before, for the morning). The property is also spectacularly located right on Watson Lake, and the picture windows look to the west for a beautiful sunset if the conditions are right. Cindy also came down later in the evening and gave me a heads up that the moon was reflecting off the lake to great effect. The property also has multiple outside levels leading down to the lake shore. There's also good wifi and cable/sat TV available. This is a beautiful setting and this is a delightful B&B with great hosts; I highly recommend.

Fabulous place to stay when you want to get away from the norm!!!! The peace and quiet of the lake and surrounding gardens, and the genuine concern of the owners to be sure you have everything you need!
It has a wonderful homey feeling but still felt like an oasis from home!
I highly recommend this place if you are looking into experiencing a true Watson Lake lifestlyle!
The walkout basement had a fabulous view of the lake!
Loved it!!!
Would definately stay there again!

I stayed at the Cozy Nest on a trip up the Alaska Highway in August 2019. The owners are very friendly and helpful with travel tips etc. The rooms are downstairs in the house and have a great view of Watson Lake. The main area has a small kitchen and supplies for breakfast. The shared bathroom was no problem at all, I would stay here again.

My husband and I stayed at the Cozy Nest for a night. We stayed on the first level of the house because the cabins were already booked. However, we actually think we enjoyed staying in the house more than we would have with the cabins. We still sat out on the dock and watched the sun go down while eating a to go meal from town (Kathy's Kitchen). As the sun was going down over the water there were even two beavers swimming across the water collecting branches for their next project (very cool to watch). In the house, there are two guest rooms sharing a common living room. We stayed with two conservation offers who we enjoyed so much that we met up with our new friends a couple of days later. We were thankful that Cindy's place provided us with peace and relaxation in addition to forming a new friendship! All in all, the place was very clean, comfortable and with any needed amenities included. Thank you!

I stayed in the cabin on the lake front. Words cannot explain how peaceful and serene it was-i actually kept on poking my head out the door to see if there were any sounds but the only thing I heard was a squirrel who kept dashing across the lawn. The cabin was clean and warm and so cute and cozy. I slept a solid ten hours it was so comfortable and would recommend this hideaway to anyone from the solo traveler to couples both young and senior.

Cozy Nest Hideaway is only a short drive off the highway and I would highly recommend stopping there on your Alaska Highway trip. It is operated a little different than most B&Bs with not a furnished breakfast in the morning. Cozy Nest had snacks when you arrived and a refrigerator and cabinet with breakfast items. Very quite location and nice with lower level entry. Just be careful when going down driveway in winter months.

We booked a night on our way to Whitehorse. The B&B has three rooms - two large with queen beds and one with twins. There is one large common bathroom with a shower. Unfortunately we had booked the one with twins. It was tiny, uncomfortable and lacked space for our kit. Fortunately, no one else was there that evening, so we had the spacious common area to ourselves - this included a fridge, microwave, toaster, dining table & chairs plus a lounging area with a satellite TV. Neither the caretaker host nor ourselves were able to master the channel selection. The remote likely needed a new battery. Wifi was available but very slow. In the morning we found that the shower had about one minute before the water went cold. A Continental breakfast was available with milk, juice & yogurt in the fridge along with cereal and bread. We had booked to stay there for 2 days on our return from Whitehorse. On enquiry we learned that the large room with a view of the lake was available, and booked it for our return stay. It was a great improvement over the twin we suffered in on our first stay.

My husband and I stayed here one night while traveling through. We originally planned on tenting but the forecast predicted snow that week so we booked a night at the Cozy Nest Hideaway. The owners were on vacation so we made arrangements with the couple who was housesitting. The location is out of town right on the lake so it's about 10 mins off the main highway. The view is great and they have a dock, firepit, and tire swing right on their property. The guest entrance is downstairs. There is one bathroom/kitchen/ living area shared between three rooms downstairs. There is free wifi available. There was one other gentleman occupying one of the rooms while we were there. We watched the NFL game, shared a beer, and talked around the firepit with him. There is no separate laundry for guests but the people house sitting let me do a load of laundry upstairs. They brought down homemade muffins for us that evening which was thoughtful. The bathroom has heated floors, a stand up shower with shampoo conditioner and soap, and lots of counter space. They have well water so they request the guests be conservative with water use. The kitchen has utensils for use like toaster, coffee machine, and microwave. The fridge is full of continental breakfast items like milk, OJ, yogurt, and homemade jams. Let the people know your estimated arrival time so they will be home to let you in--we arrived earlier than expected and no one was home and the doors were locked so we went back into town for dinner until they called us back when they got home.

We stayed just one night - heading South after a week in Whitehorse - and Cozy Nest was an unexpected delight! It was May - the lake still frozen, with a fringe of open water along the shore - and the air cold and clear and calm. We stayed in the downstairs room, but we sat outside watching the twilight over the frozen lake, with a glass of wine and a simple meal, letting the silence enter our hearts. Later, we sat next to a campfire by the shore with our hosts - Cindy and Gordon - wonderful friendly people who shared their stories with us and made us feel at home.
A mink peered curiously at us over the bank just a few metres away. A beaver swam past, slowly, then returned a few minutes later pushing a log.... The Spring twilight washed over us and we wished we could stay longer. Our night at Cozy Nest remains a highlight of our trip to the Yukon.
Cindy and Gordon - thanks and best wishes from
Dave and Meg :)
