Hello, all staff is working at Reception should not be working there: very rude service, don't know anything, can't fix any problem, look like each staff give you different solution for the same problem and we would not stay over there. Very unpleasant experience with Reception and never seen any Manager (any girl call herself as manager), but can not provide polite service.
I contacted the hotel to book a room and lounge for 4 days, whilst my husband underwent back fusion surgery at the nearby hospital. I explained that I didn't know how long I needed, and could I be flexible about that. My husband and I had stayed there a few weeks prior. They told me I could book, and I repeated I needed flexibility. They booked me in for 5 nights. As we got closer to the time, we found out that my husband would require probably a bit more time in hospital so I contacted the hotel to extend and was told I could extend one more day but they had a big group coming in and were fully booked. I explained that I had asked for flexibility as I didn't fancy having to change accommodation whilst my husband was in hospital - they said sorry, they couldn't help. Upon arrival, I was given an accessible room (which was fine) however the glasses were on the highest shelf in the kitchen and I couldn't reach them on tiptoe. Thankfully my husband was there the first night to get them down. Then I experienced poor room servicing regularly - twice I had to ask for toilet rolls as they were not replenished, I was not told I had to activate the Wifi before 2am, so had to phone for that, I selected to hang up my towels, not have them replenished, but they did that anyway, then one day I had no towels at all and had to phone and wait 15 minutes. The dishcloth was removed and not replaced. One day the full bin was not emptied and by the last day, they have removed two glasses and not replaced them. I asked again before I checked out if I could stay longer, they said sorry no. I moved to another accommodation in Takapuna and was there for another week as my husband had some complications and these people were amazing. Very flexible and helpful. Spencer on Byron was comfortable, but communication, service and helpfulness were lacking. I had to pay $20 per night extra to book an accessible park, which I found to be quite discriminatory. I probably won't stay there again in a hurry.…
My wife, myself and our 18 year old son attended a degustation evening last Saturday night and it was just brilliant. We had an awesome evening enjoying superb food and delicious wine matches from Sileni winery. The kitchen staff and chef were fantastic, with interesting food which was presented with flair - absolutely delicious. The Wagyu eye fillet steak was a highlight and I can not recommend this highly enough. Thank you for a great evening.
Comfortable room, nice large bed, good views over Takapuna, easy walking distance to restaurants and shops, very friendly staff. Able to arrange accessible parking in advance and staff were very helpful about this.
Stayed two nights. Brilliant views of Auckland city across the harbour. Rooms was big, clean and warm. Excellent customer service especially in the restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble and the meal was nice especially the fried chicken. Would recommend
