Horseshoe Tunica hotel garners mixed feedback from guests. While some praise the comfort of the rooms and friendly staff, others are disheartened by cleanliness concerns, such as the need for fresh towels and the occasional spotty housekeeping. The hotel's atmosphere is noted for its cozy sitting areas, despite criticisms of insufficient lighting and dated decor. Amenities receive applause and critique alike, with maintenance and service inconsistency issues tempering the comfort offered. Additionally, many travelers express dismay over unexpected fees diminishing the perceived value of their stay.

We flew to Tunica from Corpus Christi, on one of the Caesars Rewards Air Flights. Saturday 6/13 to Tuesday 6/16. Only 1-1/2 hours R/T each way for $35 per person. It was nice to just get out and go somewhere. It was kind of crowded on Saturday, but the other 3 days weren't bad. A lot of the slots are locked out to to maintain the social distancing. You had to wait for some of the more popular slots. They had employees continuously cleaning the machines between players. They did a good job, and were friendly and courteous. You could order a drink while playing, and the service was ok. Didn't see any big payouts while there.

We ate 3 breakfasts and 3 lunches at JB'S Cafe. The food was good, priced reasonably, and is 1:1 using your Caesars Rewards points. Ate at Jack Binion's Steak House one night using my wife's Diamond Celebration Dinner. The $100 didn't go too far, but the steak and baked potato were very good. The other 2 nights we ate at the Lucky 8 Asian Bistro. It costs double the Reward Points, so we charged the meals on our credit card. Didn't go to the 8 OZ Burger Bar because it costs double the points. The Buffet and the Laurel Lounge were not back open yet.

They had 3 entrances open into the Horseshoe Casino, with a guard at each one to make sure you used the Dispenser of Hand Sanitizer. All the employees were wearing masks. Players had to wear masks at the dice table and at the card tables. I would say less than 50 % of the other players wore masks. Some went overboard and had face shields on.

3 girlfriends on a Covid Getaway stayed here 4 nights. The room was clean and lots of towels were provided. The maid did not come in our room the whole time we were there. When we asked for clean towels or extra linens the were promptly delivered to our room. The guard at the entrance asked you to sanitize your hand before entering. They asked you to wear a mask before entering the casino. In fact, that was a county law! The bellman unloaded your car at the garage entrance and took the luggage up to the room, but was not allowed to go into the room. He did sit everything inside the door. The only negative fact was when we first entered the property, we were confused as where to check in because the front doors were closed off by barricades. We figured to go into the garage and enter in there. Parking in the garage was never a problem.

Always a real good time but we have a continued problem getting promised comps. Not only did we not get the $10 play for turning down daily room service but my wife earned over 1000 tier points in one day and did not receive her $30 bonus play like I did. Not sure how to get this fixed but it won't stop us from our almost monthly 2 day visits.

It has been many years since I visited and stayed in Tunica...once one of the hottest casino destinations outside of Vegas and AC. The once beautiful hotel resorts with amenities like skeet shooting, top notch golf, high-end dining, and luxurious spa facilities currently either stand in rubble or are covered in vines and thistle. Only six resorts remain, and the Horseshoe is one of them.

The Horseshoe, at one time, was considered one of the premier resorts in Tunica; its lobby area is still a testament to those glory days. Sadly, the rooms and their care don't garner the same attention as the lobby's marble floor. Per hotel COVID protocol, my room (3131) had the door sealed with the sanitized notice giving me a comforting sense that housekeeping had paid extra attention in the servicing of my room. Upon entry, I noticed caramel corn pieces in full view on the floor in front of the chair as well as a layer of dust on the bedside lamps (see photos). Promptly, I checked the bathroom and found nothing unclean on the counter, sink, tub, and commode. It was at that point, I made a decision not to alert the front desk to what I had found in the room. It should also be noted that, in addition to housekeeping issues, the bedside table lampshade was split open and some of the furniture was well worn beyond being kept in an "establishment of this class".

The next morning, I entered the shower and began using one of the folded and presumably clean wash cloths provided by the hotel. As I began to wash my face, a large clump of long dark hair hung on my lips (see photo). In immediate disgust, I exited the shower and grabbed for a (folded and presumably clean) bath towel; upon unfolding, I noticed that the white towel was covered in black streaks (see photo). It was at this point that I did ring the front desk and spoke to the manager on duty; she responded genuinely and apologized profusely. I explained that I was here on business and did not expect anything for my trouble but did want someone in management to take note of the sheer lack of proper cleaning and inspection of the rooms. Upon checkout, I was informed that my resort fee had been waived.

I stayed the following week at the MGM property (Gold Strike) located next door to Horseshoe; it did not disappoint and now appears to truly be the class of Tunica.

First time staying here. Room was nice but the heater didn't work that well, we slept in our clothes the first night. Told the front desk but no one showed up till the next day. People that work there all seem miserable. My wife asked an associate where a particular game was and they said "just sit down and push buttons". The guard at the elevator made me show her my room key to get in the elevator even though she let several people before me go without asking for theirs. For some reason the sodas came out of the vending machine frozen solid, when we showed the front desk, they didn't believe us, I guess we wanted to con a$1.50 from them to make up for the money spent in the casino. I went to the Host desk to ask her a question and she sent me to the cashier which was"that way"as she pointed sending me away. The best part of the trip is when we went to Gold Strike, I got treated better there as a new player than as a multi-year diamond player at Ceasars.

We booked 2 rooms, there were 4 person per room and only 2 bath towels on each room. We requested 5 times extra towel, which they never brough to any of the rooms. Also we requested Non Smoking room and one of the room smell like previous guest smoke marijuana in that room. Starbucks employees are allways in bad mood and getting orders wrong and they dont even care about it. Front desk people are in bad mood too, we told them about the towels and their answer was "they will get them to you when they can" but didnt even bother to call hpusekeeping or anything. Worse place to stay. Never going back to this hotel

I visited Horseshoe Casino in Tunica, MS and booked a "Deluxe/2 queens/smoking" through Trip Advisor. The total amount was $183.03 (which included taxes $16.64 & resort/other fees $16.99); however, to reserve the room it was $164.34. I was informed that upon check-in, I would pay the resort fee (no problem). After arriving, I was informed that I had to pay $100 deposit, but I would receive it back after paying $18.69 (resort fee) in cash at checkout. 2 days later and still no refund on my deposit. In addition, there was no internet connection and wifi wasn't free. To utilize wifi, it was $12.99 & would allow up to 2 devices to be added. There was a lot of hidden fees and no thorough explanation of fees. Save yourself disappoint and just book directly with the casino hotel. VERY DISAPPOINTED!!!

While we understand we just come out of a year with Covid, when we visit a hotel we expect to have basic things like housekeeping to come and remove the trash, change the bed sheets, provide fresh towels, etc. We got none of this. We came to Tunica from New Orleans, leaving from there early because some staff was racist and rude, we had to keep going to the front desk to ask for coffee, towels, coffee w/condiments. We were told to just throw out the trash into the hall as well as the used towels and someone would

My husband and I, along with my adult siblings and their spouses spent four nights at Horseshoe Tunica. We booked a King Premium room, and our room was spacious and clean. I read many reviews before our trip, and several complained because of the lack of housekeeping. We knew this prior to our trip and were prepared for that. The hotel is simply doing whatever they can to stay open and comply with Covid restrictions. A towel cart was brought around to trade used towels for fresh ones, which worked out fine. We are used to making our beds, and did not mind taking a few minutes each morning to make the bed and straighten up.

There was hand sanitizer readily available in the lobby and throughout the property. The public areas were very clean and inviting.

The staff was professional and friendly. We had dinner at the Burger restaurant one night and dinner at JB's, and both were good. I would definitely recommend Horseshoe Tunica and will definitely return.

Where to begin... I arrived on a Friday night for a WSOP Circuit event. My first two sets of room keys did not work. At no point did I receive any hospitality or apology from the front desk about having to run up and down stairs with the not-working keys. The third time I went up to a different room, someone did walk me up there to make sure they'd work. That would have been nice the second time.

I get in the room and there is an inch and a half gap under the door. You can see the hallway floor. If you want any privacy, you have to stick a towel under the door.

I flush the toilet and it won't stop running. I call the front desk to deal with it, and again, no apology, really very little response at all. I had to ask, hello? They said they would tell maintenance. I waited for a while and nothing so I tried texting their text-message concierge thing. I got no response on that.

Eventually, a guy came to fix the toilet. His name was Alan. He was actually super nice and hospitable and apologized for the inconvenience. He was great, and fixed the problem. It is odd that the only positive experience I had in the area of hospitality was from the maintenance guy.

The drain in the bathtub also did not seal properly, so it was not possible to have a bath without the water draining.

Overall the casino was very smokey and there was constantly people yelling raffle stuff over the PA. I had dinner at the bar at Jack Binions Steakhouse and people were actually smoking inside the restaurant. What country is this?

Overall, I don't recommend staying here or visiting Tunica at all.
