Room and property was worn but clean, staff was friendly and professional. Air conditioner temperature knob was broken which made for an overheated night. Beds were comfortable, nothing exceptional. Expect better for $290. a night.
Went here with our family after a 5 stay in Courtenay. The beds were so uncomfortable and old. Blankets had stains. Elevator was out of service for one of the days we were there and we were on the third floor. Internet was slow and our key cards stopped working multiple times through the stay. For the price we paid we could have stayed an extra three nights in Courtenay where the hotel was amazing!
Nothing fancy, but pool, hot tub and free breakfast always appreciated. Location is close to town center and the beach so it is possible to walk. Lots of restaurants and stores nearby. Good value for your money and family friendly.
The value for the cost (around $280/night per room) was poor. This was early in July, so perhaps the cost is not always so hight. Parts of the place are shabby and dirty, and the breakfast is primarily serve yourself carb-based. The 2nd floor lobby, outside the elevator has a filthy carpet and torn furniture. It's depressing to stay there. The staff was nice and attentive, but it is a place to stay only if there is no other in Parksville. It is directly across the highway from the miniature golf and dodge boats, so that is fun for kids. But the best beach areas are further away.
Our first night of our trip up to Port Hardy to take the ferry to Prince Rupert. It was the 1st of July and a busy weekend. The receptionist luckily had a room available & also recommended the restaurant/lounge across the street which had a patio that we were able to sit on. The dinner & drinks were great & we were able to watch the awesome Canada 🇨🇦 Day fireworks from the patio. Was a great stay !!! 💥🍻🎉🤩
Very rude older Asian lady working the front desk. I believe she is a manager which is sad because the other staff are nice. Just try and avoid her if u do stay here. I liked the pool and the food, just not the service, still don't think I would go back if we aren't treated with respect from the managers.
This hotel is very tired. Rather disappointed for a Wyndham property. The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows comfy. But to be honest I don’t think the stair case has been vacuumed for months. We stayed 2 days, didn’t see cleaning staff. Seemed odd in the mornings you wouldn’t see them waiting to start on rooms. You had to ask for cleaning. the front desk seemed shocked at that. I understand covid protocols and the choice, but I thought I would contribute by helping to keep those staff employed. the breakfast area was not maintained very well. Both mornings I had to ask for someone to refill coffee or get milk. Just seemed they did not man this area. Check in staff didn’t seem to care that there room rates could not match the ones on line with Wyndham. They asked me to book directly on line and wait a couple minutes until the reservation came through so I got the cheaper rate. Just didn’t seem to matter to them.…
The building is very tired and grounds have not been tended in a long time. Run down appearance. Beside a rental motel. Staff is friendly and though I don’t s not need service I assume I would have had it. Room dated but clean. Basic motel breakfast. It is fine here but not good value at $255 a night. It would not be my first pick when I return to Parksville.
We loved the rooms, as these were clean, beds were firm & clean, and towels were soft. Highly recommend for a quick stay. Staff were very extremely friendly checking in and out. Rooms have restricted access only with guests card.
Nice sized hotel room, pool was awesome. Breakfast was excellent with lots of choices (bagels,toast,waffles,hard-boiled eggs, cereal, fruit, yogurt) all really fresh. Staff was all friendly and helpful. Very clean even with some renovations going on. Didn't even notice them. Would recommend to anyone to stay.!!!
