was not my first time and it was the same before also, the staff is very friendly and very polite also, breakfast is ok for the situation that we are in, Everyone wearing mask also. the hotel is very well situate for me, the job that i have to do is just 8 minutes away.
We had booked for multiple nights, checked in and checked out as soon as we found somewhere else. 'Restaurant and Bar' - neither onsite Renovations underway - building materials stored in stairwell that lead to laundry room. Vending machine included condoms. Photos in listing barely resemble current state of the property.
A standard hotel at a good price; rooms were comfortable and clean. The bathroom seemed a little run down. The biggest disappointment was the breakfast. They are still advertising as buffet breakfast included and understandably, due to covid-19, they switched that for bagged breakfast. My complaint is I booked a room for 4 and got 2 bags with barely any food - 2 per room. If they are making extra money from this crisis this is a pathetic way to do it. Giving people a banana and a bottle of water in a bag is a perfect way to insult your guests. At a minimum I expected a bagel with cream cheese, or muffins. If you cannot provide a decent breakfast then discount the rate!
The woman working the front desk - Aileen? - is an absolute treasure. She was so helpful and obviously cares very much about her job. The hotel itself leaves something to be desired. I think my room was renovated, because the flooring was new, but one of the mattresses was torn and the other had old, dried vomit on it. The door to the washroom was beat up and you could tell not a lot of attention to detail was paid to the renos. The housekeeping staff also cut corners when cleaning too.
I stayed last week. I really liked my room. Who cares if they didn’t finish the paint job in the bathroom. The rest of the room was perfect. The front desk staff were warm and friendly. The breakfast was what would be expected. I was also impressed, the doors have a soft close on them. So you don’t get all the banging in the wee hours when people come and go. This could be my biggest pet peeve with hotels, other guests banging a door at all hours. This hotel gets top marks from me for a quiet stay.
