Newish on trend Hotel offer for IHG, a step below the Crown Plaza brand. Well located in the CBD with easy access by car from the freeways and good location to shopping, supermarkets and eateries. Nice access to walking along the port area also, and the hop on hop off bus pick up is just around the corner adjacent Sky Tower. Rooms are spacious, quite clean and with great views across the harbour and city. Beds are comfortable and bathroom facilities great. Reception is busy but fully staffed, and the staff and breakfast offer were very good. Car parking is not cheap but adjacent the hotel. Only down side and critique was housekeeping. Wow stayed 3 nights and had to request room service on the second day at 5pm and the third day housekeeping arrived at 6pm and asked us to leave the room. Our observations were they were quite slow and distracted on their mobile phones.…

We arrived at 2pm but was told check in time was at 3 pm- Voco Auckland IHG website said check in was at 2pm. Maybe best for the website to change the check in time so as to not confuse their guests. They gladly stored our bags and we went back at 3pm. The room is not too big (25sqm)but the design and the view made up for the smaller size. The view of the Sky Tower and the harbor is amazing. Especially from a height of floor 35. Can cast your device to the TV. Free water- and can refill water in the water dispenser near the elevator on each floor. They have wine glasses!!! Yipee. Ample drawers and storage dir a short stay. Safe in the room. Ref. Iron. Iron board. Hairdryer. There is a laundry on the first floor. Coffee- is instant. So maybe better to get coffee elsewhere. Black out curtains is a big plus esp for guests experiencing jet lag. Comfortable beds and pillows Cold aircon Strong shower with hot water In the comfort room- Have nice shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and Lotion. Everything else, you have to bring. Location is a 4.5. It is a stone’s throw from Queen Street, but going back to the hotel is uphill- not a gentle one. Either you’ll love the exercise or hate the exhaustion. I find my room very clean. Housekeeping did a good job in my room. Again- I was worried because of some reviews. But was glad that my room was spotless. Service with a HUGE smile. Love the reception area- I was worried because read some reviews on bad service and unpleasant reception. But didn’t see the bad service -it was excellent. From the reception to the roof top bar (super accommodating) to the security person I chanced upon in the elevator and was very pleasant. Everyone made me feel welcomed. Roof top bar is nice. The host was so accommodating, even the servers were very nice. We changed tables 4 times! We wanted outdoor but it was too cold. The host didn’t even look annoyed and remained pleasant to our group. Excellent 4 star hotel. Front desk staff were attentive and friendly (thank you Vik)…rooms were clean and well appointed. Duvets were perfect and comforting. Beds were perfectly comfortable. Towels were plush and absorbent. Plenty of hot water and housekeeping was on point each day. Refillable water bottles free of charge. The breakfast was fantastic and plentiful and it’s staff were quick and responsive. Kudos to restaurant manager. Great location to see the city. Views from most rooms are outstanding. Highly recommended.

Great hotel. Room was very comfortable and clean. Modern design and bathrooms were nicely appointed. The only downside is that the pressure isn't strong enough but I believe this is done purposely for sustainability reasons. The staff are a total credit to the hotel. Every member I interacted with were professional and courteous with large smiles. Keep it up!

The hotel was modern and chic and in good location with lots of shopping and eateries nearby. Our room was clean and had a nice Sky Tower view. The standard room was a little small but the bathroom was surprisingly big and spacious. The shampoo/hair conditioner/shower wash came in bulk size bottle mounted on the wall. Bedroom slippers were not given but could be requested and the front office staff would be more than happy to bring them up to the room. Housekeeping hotline was always busy and nobody pick up the phone at all, hence it’s much faster to contact the front office for whatever requests you have. There was a water dispenser along the corridor that made getting drinking water very convenient. There was also coin operated guest laundry available, I have always welcomed such great convenience offered by the property. The only gripe was that the hotel was on a slope. Though not exactly very steep slope, it still poses some challenges to people with knee problem, like me. Also, it puzzled us that on the day of check-out, a staff knocked on our door 10 min before official check-out time asking what time we are checking out. We couldn’t help but to feel that we were being hurried to check out ASAP, and it did leave a bad taste in the mouth.…

Beautiful down town hotel. Clean, modern rooms, beautiful views, great location. Plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, also a small grocery. Easy warf access. All are very easy to walk to. Friendly and helpful staff. Would stay here again.

After review from Tripadvisor are so so on comment. I have found out the problem are lack of staff. However, all staff work there are try their best to look after customers. Room is clean, but won't be anytime has cleaner to help you but it's fine for me. The restaurant is mess, all staff are very work hard, however, the number stand for ordering system not easy for waitress or waiter to find. I recommed to use the high number stand and let the staff to easy to found. Again, you will see all staff there are working very hard and try to sort out the problem for customer. Parking come with fee. Room is good size and comfortable. I recommend to people to stay there.

I'm happy that Voco Auckland is gaining a good reputation for great location and good services. I'm also happy that my suggestion of having a different indicator of Do not Disturb and Room Make Up was implemented to avoid unnecessary situation (double sided was previously used and it could be easily overturned). In this stay, we also had a chance to go to the bar at 38th floor for an evening drink which is great! Surprisingly, the prices of drinks are quite friendly despite a commanding view of the city.

We stayed here with our kids and two of their friends. We had interconnecting rooms, and found the rooms to be very clean, modern and well equipped. The staff were all friendly, helpful and provided excellent service. The only downside was upon checking in to our rooms, the interconnecting door was locked and the porter had to go down to reception to locate the key, it would have been good to have the door unlocked prior to our arrival. The car parking building has a low roof, we had rented a (Hiace) van for our trip and it was not able to fit into the hotel car park - we knew this might be the case , just wanted to mention it for future travellers. My husband had to park elsewhere, but found an open air park on Greys Ave about 1km away.

Nice, spacious rooms for a City hotel. Great location steps from shops on Queen street and short stroll to Britomart. Staff was friendly and accommodating. Only drawback is parking situation. Only available parking is at a nearby public parking structure, which Voco validates for. Even with validation it is expensive, but worst of all is the uphill hike from the parking structure to the hotel lobby. Although it is on the same block, doing the uphill hike with luggage can be difficult. Otherwise, a very good hotel and would stay here again.
