Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Booked "luxury" penthouse suite and found it cramped and dirty with stains on settee and exposed under flooring from broken tile on the external veranda 30 floors up! The staff were very helpful and found an alternative which was larger, well-equipped and clean with great views. No offer of price reduction as booked through Hotel.com who really should vet this property as really great location except this area of Auckland is full of extensive roadworks and construction sites. Not pretty.

Location excellently very central, although they have no parking they offer to help if you need any. Communication prior to arrival was excellent too, always answer almost immediately. Everything looked new and clean. 2-Bedroom with Sea View has 2 Bathrooms which is awesome. The Apartment very spacious and have everything needed. They gave 2 large heaters enough to warm the whole unit. 24-hour convenience store is in the vicinity. We stayed for 3 nights then leave for 6 days tour and return again, and they welcome us to store some of our luggage in their secure luggage room while we went on our tours. Staffs are very nice.

Good value for the price as the location is great, rooms are modern and clean, and staff are helpful. Wifi is free in the room. Just surprised at how most of the rooms did not have aircon and limited number of sockets. There’s big balcony doors you can open to let air in and fans are available in every room. Pool is open only until 6pm but I think the gym is open for a longer time. Staff are accommodating and replies to email. Did have an issue with the reservation but was sorted out immediately.

We booked this room expecting the amenities listed on the website. Be aware that your room may not have air conditioning. We were given a small room with no opening windows and no air conditioning. It was uncomfortably warm and we were forced to pay extra to ‘upgrade’ to a room with air conditioning in order to get some sleep on our second night

Great location, shame about major road works outside main door. No parking to drop bags off. Car park around corner $15.00 per hour and $40.00per 24 hours if booked when checking in.
Tom on 8 floor very nice. Had a balcony but could not use due to two ac units out their creating very hot air. Shame nice view. Price pretty good for Auckland city.

Maybe we had the worst room.

We could not use the balcony nor open the window because in front of the room
(4th floor) was a loud and smelly machinery from the neighbor. No air conditioning...

We booked for 4 people but only had 3 chairs!? When we asked for a fourth they gave us a simple plastic camping chair.

The micro area is not appealing. Homeless in front of the building.

The main door by the way is broken an covered wir wood. Not a very good first impression.

Bad choice. I would definitely not book again. I find the pictures on the webpage and the booking portals misleading.

We were very disappointed with Star Park Service Apartment. We are unable to travel to Auckland due to Covid 19 (cancellation of flights) and informed the hotel before our stay date . They replied that they will give us a voucher after the arrival date if we cannot make it on the date. Numerous emails were sent after the stay date to claim the so said voucher ( we intend to go up in July) but Star Park Serviced Apartments has not even once acknowledged any of my many emails sent and kept quiet about the whole issue.

Very disappointing indeed for someone running a hospitality business in New Zealand. Will never even consider booking with this hotel again. Not the kiwi way of doing business. Terrible service and avoid them at all cost.

I've a booking in Apr but am unable to proceed with all the travel restrictions. My flights had been cancelled and there's no way I can enter New Zealand and the hotel refused to cancel the booking without penalty. They rejected the request twice and pushed the responsibility to Booking.com. However, allother 9 hotel bookings I've on Booking.com could waive the cancellation fee due to the Forced Majeure condition without any issues.
Dear Star Park Serviced Apartments, if you insist to charge the booking in full, please book a flight for me to New Zealand!!

They issued me with a voucher when I had to cancel my booking in April 2020 due to covid border closure. I have been trying to get in touch with them and have had no luck at all. The email they provided last year no longer works and any links on their facebook page do not work. It seems I am stuck with an expensive useless voucher. Any suggestions?

This was a small apartment but fine for the two of us. Right in the middle of town, we didn’t get our hire car until after we left but found it easy to walk or to catch an Uber very cheaply. There are major works going in down town due to the new subway construction, and a few of the businesses nearby are suffering. A short walk to the main shopping road. Solid value for the location but nothing special.

These people rip consumers off. They keep trying to debit my account despite cancelling my booking without notifying me. I wouldn't trust this business as far as I could spit.

It may not be very cheap to stay here long term. But you can always call them at +64 27 308 6666 and find out. They may just agree to a cheaper rate coz it’s a long term stay. Good luck!

i understand there is no parking? where can one park one's car? is there a spot in the vicinity?
Answer from Joseph
Sydney, Australia35 contributions2 helpful votes
There are two carparks close to the apartments and they are by Federal Street (owned by Wilson Parking). We parked by the ANZ building underground carpark. Costs $55 every 12 hours, but cheaper if you download and use the parkmate app. We only paid $55 for around 30 hours of parking. It is quite pricey, but that is everywhere around Auckland CBD anyway.

None. Hardly any hotels located on Auckland CBD have got free parking, but the are a ton of parking buildings around the city (search Wilson Parking) but they are quite pricey.
