Detailed Reviews
Fiona and family made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived to our departure. My wife and I were the very first guests under the new ownership and I can confirm they are naturals at guest house hospitality. The rooms are spotless, very quiet and Fiona could not do enough to make our stay perfect. Carriers Farm is a great location for exploring Sherston and surrounding area. We will definitely return when next in the area. It is a short walk (10 mins) from the centre of Sherston village; though it is along country lanes so bring a torch for late night ventures home from the Rattlebone Pub. Perfect for people who like their accomodation simple but with all expected ameneties.

A really superb B&B with the benefit of the high quality rooms being separate from the house but no more than five steps away. The breakfast was wonderful and the hosts very entertaining and good fun (We just made the Christening!!!). Location wise you could not get a better spot being close to Bath and the option of getting the train from near by Chippenham. The surrounding countryside, charming pubs and nearby walks make the need to travel far by car not necessary. I am told that Prince Harry even is a local at one of the pubs and local Church but I will leave that one for you to find out for yoursleves........ or maybe a bit of the Irish blarny!!

Just enjoyed two marvellous nights at Carriers Farm Sherston. It seems Peter and Fiona are new to the bed and breakfast business but there`s nothing at all to suggest this is the case...they`re obviously natural hosts.
Great rooms exuding country comfort, open your door in the morning to views over open fields. Don`t expect a monster greasy fry up for breakfast, the choices provided are infinitely more interesting and, no doubt, much healthier, should that be a consideration on a relaxing weeklend.
Local intelligence suggested to us, also, that Royalty could be imbibing at the Rattlestone village pub but either there was no presence or the disguises were totally effective. Nonetheless an enjoyable evening was spent there partaking of a pint or two with the plebians.
Altogether the perfect B&B at which to spend a weekend in a delightful area with a great choice of visits within comfortable distance. Highly recommended.

Fabulous place! Room idyllic and peaceful (fabulous decor), lovely welcome from Fiona, greeted with cake and tea (the home-made cookies are amazing). Was on business but would recommend this to anyone looking for a real retreat (perfect for making a weekend out of a trip to the Westonbirt). Lovely walk across the fields to the pub - almost forgot I was working!!! Thanks again.

We stayed at Carriers Farm on the 27th June. What a find!
Fiona & Peter greeted us on arrival and showed us to our room. The farm has three separate rooms annexed to the main house. The room was modern, spotlessly clean and decorated extremely tastefully. Fiona provided tea and homemade cake on the terrace, overlooking the fields. We ventured down to see a variety of their chickens scurrying around. We had a beautiful night’s sleep down to breakfast next morning in a room breakfast room. The food, which was all locally sourced, was delicious, with of course their own eggs. I would thoroughly recommend Carriers Farm for an exceptional B&B experience. Our hosts were charming and couldn’t do enough for you.
We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

Our 3rd trip to Carriers Farm and once again treated to Fiona's warm welcome, wonderful hospitality and first class facilities at Carriers Farm. A chance to see Westonbirt Arbouretum & the surrounding countryside in autumn colours. If you are visiting this area & want to stay at the best B&B look no further, Carriers Farm is the place, you won't be disappointed, if we could give more than 5 stars we would!

Thank you for taking the time to write this review, I really love hearing what people think and I know it is helpful for other guests. I am glad you enjoyed the breakfasts and the choices of compotes and porridge I provide. It is important to me to offer a good, fulfilling breakfast packed with local and home made produce and is what I got my Breakfast award for 2 years ago now! Wishing you all the best and I hope to welcome you back sometime to discover some more of what the area has to offer!

We arrived to an amazing cake and lovely cuppa, just the ticket after a long drive.
The breakfast room was a squeeze for 6 of us but nice to sit in and enjoy a bit of sun (and the lovely views).
The room was immaculate, and the bed so comfortable. The wifi wasn't so hot but it was nice to get away from the outside world.
Fiona booked us a meal at the pub in the village, which was amazing and even gave us a lift to it (we had to walk to home to walk off the calories!).
The rooms are beautiful, albeit cosy, but well worth the money.
ps the breakfast was to die for. Fresh bread/jam/eggs a plenty, could have stayed and eaten for hours!

30 April 2013 Thank you very much for taking the time to write this helpful review. Glad you enjoyed your weekend and the home comforts and cake on offer here at Carriers' Farm! Thank you for flagging the WIFI. Having invested in it to make sure you can stay connected whilst you're here I am sorry you found it patchy. It will be looked in to. I look forward to welcoming you back in the future. May update Since your visit I am glad to report that we have investigated the WIFI and have fixed the issue which was effecting the speed in the bedrooms. In addition to this we have invested to extend the WIFI coverage into the Breakfast room so that you can access the internet surrounded by the beautiful countryside! Your feedback is appreciated. Thank you.

I booked this 2 night stay as a surprise for my husband & 4 year old son. We have friends & family in the nearby area of Shertson & Bath so it was the perfect location. From the beginning Fiona was the perfect host. She went out of her way to accomodate us & our son & on arrival (New Years Eve) we were greeted with Champagne and Olives, a great way to start the celebrations. The room was perfect with excellent decor, views and great homemade biscuits! Lovley Bath House toiletries were provided too, with soft towels, pillows & duvet. Our son was in heaven waking up to the chickens which Fiona kindly allowed him to help feed. To our delight we had our own breakfast room overlooking the fields! So private & welcoming. We were able to help oursleves to fresh bread, fruits, juice, yoghurts & a selection of other choices which I will keep a secret as they were lovely & it was nice to experience whilst there and not know beforehand. Lets just say there are no greasy fried breakfasts here! We loved the breakfast experience, taking an hour to indulge on the last morning there!
The rooms are private, extremely clean, well decorated, lovely Classic FM playing, Fiona will help with anything but is not pushy in anyway, the farm house is protected with large secure gates & our little boy was safe to have some independance.
We are already booking to stay again in June. Fiona has got everything right with this one!!

We found this B&B when we were looking for places for our guests to stay during our wedding in a nearby village. We enjoyed our first visit so much that my husband booked it for him and his groomsmen to stay the night before our wedding, and we have been back since, during our most recent visit to the area. It's a charming, practical B&B, very clean and well presented, and within walking distance of The Rattlebone pub which does the most fabulous food. The breakfast in the morning is everything you could wish for, and the price of a night's stay is very very reasonable. But what keeps us coming back are the owners, Brenda and Chris, who are very friendly and funny, very knowledgeable about the area, and will go out of their way to help you if you can and will make you feel very welcome. I would recommend this B&B to anybody planning a visit to North Wiltshire.
