Finally found a motel that had their last room available. Clean and tidy and spacious enough for our 1 night. Bed very comfy and owners were very friendly and extremely accommodating and brought map and informative travelling book for our travels to our room. We had driven from the bottom of the south is and in that time we couldn't just stop where we wanted to due to lack of vacancies in hotels and had to keep our fingers crossed to find something. Great stay and would be happy to stay longer if necessary.

You are aware that this is a budget motel with little labels on everything, small portions of amenities, and a very uncomfortable mattress. It was clean but being near the road was quite noisy (all motels in the areas seem to be on that main road so no different, I expect).
Grateful for the cleanliness but there was no delight in these rooms.

Stayed here for one night and was impressed. The owners were so helpful and the bed was super comfortable. While it was a bit noisy you would expect this beside the main road.
Very clean and reasonably priced and I would be happy to stay here again.

The owner was lovely and very accommodating. We had made a mistake and booked the wrong night but she sorted it all out for us when we arrived.
The room was clean and tidy and had all the usual amenities. The only slight annoyance was that the bed is on a diagonal part of the wall so it doesn't have room for bedside tables to fit.
Also the bathroom, and in particular the shower, is quite small and I'd caution any larger framed people that they may have difficulties fitting.

Friendly helpful reception.
Good parking.
Very clean and tidy room.
Good size bed.
Good heating and electric blanket for a chilly night.
Bathroom was very small. Other rooms may have a better bathroom.
Units close to main road and railway on the other side of road so not the quietest location so did not have the best sleep but we are country folk so townies may find it okay.
Truckies seem to like it as one was parked up for the night.
Sky tv and free wifi.

We stayed here for one night on our way from Wellington to Napier. Nice room, good wifi, friendly owners. Very accommodating ! Would stay here again! The owner gave us great advice on where to eat dinner, and a place to get our squeaky brakes fixed in town, and let us check out late when we were waiting for brake parts for the car

Very clean and welcoming by both Alden and his lovely wife Lorraine. Went above and beyond. Room was comfortable and spacious and very afforable. Alden was more than happy to loan us his BBQ for our meal. Will stay again if in the area in the future. Well done Alden and Loraine Martin.

We stayed 3 weeks in the end 2 bedroom, on local business. we found the owners very accomadating..the bedrooms very comfortable..bathroom slightly small..hot water took a while..road and rail traffic what you would expect on a main road..overall excellent tempory accommadation for the job in hand. We found this motel on the edge of Dannevirke more accommodating with excellent access and exit..overall we enjoyed our stay.

This location is not near town, and the owners provide rude petulants service. I would not advise staying in this location, as Dannivirke has many other more accomodating locations to spend the night, on your way to Hawke's bay

Tripadvisor Hmmm, is totally untrustworthy and nothing can be authenticated, read the small print , they are not responsible for any feedbacks, this person always puts negative feedbacks , another gutless website where people can be anybody and put false feedbacks , previous owners joined and we can not be removed. There have been extremely degrading feedbacks on businesses and its been stressful for them. 1 woman with kids at night stayed here as her car broke down near the other 2 motels , they had vacancies??? so I went and brought her here as no one else did. So person above who think we have a childish behaviour who lives in cyberland , think carefully shallow person!
