Beautiful pool area and good pool bar
Excellent food - we took half board. A lovely buffet every evening. Stacks of fresh produce and a good variety. I am gluten intolerant and had plenty I could eat.
Access is uphill on quite a steep road. It’s fine if you are reasonably fit but would be difficult or impossible if you had mobility problems. You could get a taxi from the hotel.
The weather was tremendous. We took the seven islands boat trip from Nidri
It cost €35 for the whole day.
The trip was booked for us by the Jet2 representative who visited when we phoned. She supplied the tickets and organised a taxi from the hotel. It all worked perfectly.
This was such a lovely day - swimming at two different stunning beaches, inaccessible except by sea, visiting Fiskardo in Kefalonia which is incredibly pretty and going around the islands of Scorpio to see where Onassis lived.
The lady from Jet 2 also gave us advice about local buses and beaches
We went to Lefkada town twice
We saw the churches, the archeological museum, the market square and war memorial. We walked along the beautiful sea front marina which is being extensively renovated and lovely new paving laid and visited cafes and shops.
All in all a lovely relaxing holiday
Would throughly recommend.
The city beach is accessible on foot, but it is very crowded. From this beach you can swim to the Milos hidden beach (hidden beach behind the rocks). You can also walk to Milos beach, but again it is difficult in the heat. We walked along the west coast through Kathisma, Avali... to Megali Petra beach and further - about 18 km in total, but the views were worth it.
The hotel is located on a really steep hill. Not suitable for the less physically fit. But the reward is a beautiful view from the terrace.
The food is great and tasty, breakfast is the same every day, but there is everything you need. At dinner, the meat and side dishes were varied, everything was also very good, we enjoyed it.
You can ask for umbrellas at the reception, which you can borrow and use for the entire stay.

We were half board and the breakfast was very nice and the staff are very helpful. The views from the terrace are stunning. Pool area was nice, and it felt like you had your own space. The hotel could do with replacing some of their sun beds.
Our room was pleasant, good air conditioning and very comfortable beds. My only criticism is that the pillows were not very good. I would definitely return to this hotel for the relaxed atmosphere and location.
Room is cosy, breakfast nice , also dinner.
I will come again. <3

We specifically asked for a room with a sea view, and we were extremely happy with what we got. Not every room will have a breathtaking view (they do have some package groups too), but you can always deal with the hotel directly when you're making the reservation and ask for whatever is important for you - I'm sure they'll be honest and you'll get what they promise. There is al fresco breakfast (which was included for us) and dinner. The dinner was extra, but it was at an extremely reasonable rate and a very good value for the occasional night that you don't feel like going out. The room was within expectations for Greece. This is not a luxury hotel - remember you're supposed to be here for the beaches - but everything was clean, tasteful, and functional, and the room service was impeccable. The staff were also very helpful and accommodating. We arrived very late after a long drive and they served us a nice cold beer by candlelight even though it was past their hours. It was just a standard Mythos but, by God, we *so* needed that beer and the staff understood it. The hotel is close to mediterranean forest, and the outside dining has great views of the sea, landscapes, forest, and the village. There is free wireless internet in the reception area.
I can believe that not everyone had as great of an experience as we did, but I really can't think of anything that went seriously wrong during our two weeks. I've been to Greece four times, of which twice to Lefkada, and this place wins hands down.
Once you're there... Take a quick boat ride around the cape to the Mylos beach. Go to Porto Katsiki and to Egremni (with its 300 steps to climb). Go for the lamb chops under the huge plane trees in Karya. Go for the fish at the Zolythros in Mykros Gialos. Taste the thyme honey in Dragano and Athani. See the sunset at Cape Lefkas. Go for a small boat tour of nearby islands (not the big "cruises" with millions of others). Go for a sunset dinner at a nearby cliff-top Panorama restaurant with a breathtaking view (10 minutes drive south). Eat a lot of Greek food. Also, don't forget to rent a car. The best stuff is totally not reachable without one.
