Hotel's Favourite
During our stay at the Intercontinental in Danang, Vietnam, we booked a classic with ocean view room which was absolutely fabulous. The room was huge and came with a very glamorous bathroom and a massive balcony that offered spectacular views across the bay and the South China Sea. The resort itself is stunning, stylist, set on a cliffside with breathtaking views over the sea. The architecture is amazing and the scent of lemongrass adds to the exotic vibe of the place. The staff are extremely helpful and the hospitality is exquisite.
Check in & Check out was done swiftly by Nhi & Vy. We really enjoy our conversation with these two beautiful and personable staff. Our butler service was Huy/Jasper - he has such a pleasant smile and very personable.
The location of the resort is picture perfect, situated between the sea and the mountains. The views are simply magnificent, and the private beach is a sight to behold. The hotel is beautifully designed and well-maintained despite being around for 10 years.
The Citron restaurant offers mainly Vietnamese dishes, which are all exceptional. The breakfast spread is also amazing.
The Long Bar is another must-visit spot, with fantastic cocktails and a beautiful beach.
You have to request for Ly our server. She was delightfully humorous with personality. We really enjoy our conversation with her.
The staff at the resort are truly exceptional, and they go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. From the f&b director Venkat Undaram, F&B manager Mr. Oliver, F&B Manager Hai Vu to the servers at Citron and the assistant manager at Barefoot restaurant Hiện Nguyên, the service is attentive, genuine and relaxing. The Vietnamese traditional quartet was a great addition to the ambiance of Hoi An. The food spread was incredible. It has an abundant of choices and both Western and Eastern cuisine. The Asian/Vietnamese was truly delicious.
We were also impressed by the attentiveness and enthusiasm of staff members like Suong Che, Anh Lương, and Suong Dang, Hoa Nguyen, Toan Le, who made our dining experiences truly memorable.
Pool side service Xuan was very attentive and help find a great spot also help us with some beautiful photos.
Overall, this resort is definitely one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in, and we cannot wait to go back. The commitment of the Intercontinental Danang to doing more than what is asked while executing at the highest level truly sets it apart.
I want to highlight the exceptional service provided by Suong Dang, who went above and beyond to ensure that we had a memorable dining experience. Suong was very accommodating and demonstrated a deep understanding of our preferences. She even served us again outdoors at HoiAn by the beach. Her professionalism, genuine sincerity, and hospitality were the epitome of excellence. Suong is truly an amazing young lady, and we appreciate her for making our stay at the Intercontinental Danang even more special.
I want to further emphasize the exceptional service provided by Hoa Nguyen, who went above and beyond to make our dining experience unforgettable. Hoa not only ensured that our breakfast was perfect, but also took the time to take photos of us while we were perched over the sea in a private pod. His attentiveness and enthusiasm to make our experience memorable truly impressed us. We appreciated his willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that our stay at the Intercontinental Danang was nothing short of exceptional. Thank you, Hoa Nguyen, for your outstanding service!
I want to further highlight the exceptional culinary skills of Anh Luong, who made the most delicious Vietnamese crepe we've ever had. We've tried crepes in Hanoi and in other hotels during our travels from north yo South Vietnam, but Anh's version was far superior. Her cooking was truly authentic and remained true to our Vietnamese heritage. We were impressed by her attention to detail, dedication to quality, and passion for her craft. Anh's culinary skills were definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate her for making our dining experience truly memorable. Thank you, Anh Luong, for your outstanding culinary skills.
We can tell that she is very proud of what she does.

From coconut banana pastries to macaroons, every pastry that Chef Kha made was simply delicious. We were impressed by the unique blend of Vietnamese and French flavors in his pastries, and they were truly unforgettable. Chef Kha's culinary skills were definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate him for making our dining experience truly exceptional. Thank you, Chef Kha, for your outstanding culinary skills!
I would like to highlight Chef Hung, who was in charge of creating Banh Mi from Hoi An, the Vietnamese baguette. Chef Hung's culinary skills were truly exceptional and he created some of the best Banh Mi that we've ever tasted. His attention to detail and dedication to using fresh, local ingredients really shone through in his creations.
I would like to highlight Chef Tien, the head of the Citron hot food section, who created an exceptional dish called Cao Lau, a native dish of Hoi An. Chef Tien's culinary skills were truly impressive, and he created one of the best versions of Cao Lau that we've ever tasted. His attention to detail and dedication to using fresh, local ingredients really shone through in his creation. We appreciated his passion for preserving the authenticity of the dish and presenting it in a way that truly honored its Vietnamese heritage. Như Vo culinary skills were truly impressive, and she created one of the best versions of Pho that we've ever tasted. Her attention to detail and dedication to using fresh, local ingredients really shone through in her creation.
I would like to highlight Hiện Nguyên, the assistant manager at Barefoot restaurant, who went above and beyond to help create a Cobb Salad for my husband, even though it was not on the menu. My husband was craving the salad and Hiện Nguyên was so nice and accommodating to help make it happen. Her attention to detail and dedication to providing exceptional service really impressed us. We appreciated her kindness and willingness to go the extra mile to ensure that our dining experience was exceptional. Hiện Nguyên's outstanding service was definitely one of the highlights of our stay at the Intercontinental Danang, and we appreciate her for making our dining experience truly memorable. On a beautiful evening the beach was transform into a small Hoi An neighborhood. The air was filled was the most beautiful aroma of grilled pork, fish, squid, lamb and beef. All traditional Hoi An cuisine. We left with a content full stomach and the taste still remain vivid in my head as I sit and write this review.

It’s my second time at the resort and I liked it even more. I spent 1 night in a Spa Lagoon villa and 1 night in a Heavenly Penthouse.
The penthouse had a good view of the ocean; however its pool was small and not as impressive as the infinity pool at the Villa on The Rocks that I had been to last year. It took hours to heat the water in the pool. If you want to stay in the penthouse, maybe ask them to heat it before your arrival. The fixture of the penthouse showed signs of wear and tear. The monkeys came to my balcony too.
I actually prefer the Spa Lagoon Villa, which was cheaper and had more features (1 jacuzzi, 2 outdoor showers, a steam sauna, a dry sauna and a spa room inside the villa) and inclusions (1 hour spa session for 2 people in the villa or the spa). It was interesting to watch the wild life living in the lagoon. I saw a snake and many birds. The 2 Spa Lagoon villas were far away from all other rooms of the resort; therefore they were more peaceful. I could see my neighbours on their balconies from my bedroom. Luckily my neighbours were considerate, so I didn’t have any problems. The only problem that I had with the room was that the sliding door to the outdoor jacuzzi was badly designed. It was so heavy that it needs 2 people to open.
Both rooms gave me the access to the club and club member benefits: checking in and out from club lounge, breakfast at both club lounge and Citron restaurant, non-alcoholic drinks at beach club and Long bar, afternoon tea, evening drinks and hors d’œuvre. Champagne, macaron and fruits were left in the rooms as welcome gifts. I also had a butler who was extremely attentive. The staff at the lounge, beach club and the Long pool were very efficient and friendly. Water and towels were provided on arrival at the beach and the pool. They also offered food and sunglass cleaning service. The general manager came to see us in the club lounge as well. The Intercontinental domestic lounge at the airport was a final touch to make my trip extra comfortable especially when my flight was delayed for over 2 hour.
In summary, I highly recommend the Spa Lagoon villas at Intercontinental Danang Sun Peninsula. I really like the attentive staff and butlers as well as the club member benefits. I’ll stay in one of their villas again if I ever come to Danang.

My family's stay at the Intercontinental Danang was absolutely top tier. From the moment you step out to the reception area, you are greeted and extensively attended to. We were brought out to the main lobby area that had an amazing view of the ocean and huge cushioned seating to relax while waiting to be checked in.
Phuong, in guest relations, came to help us check-in and did an excellent job in giving us detailed information on the resort, how we can utilize all the hotel amenities to maximize our stay, and showing us everything offered in the room. She was incredibly courteous and make the entire process seamless and enjoyable.
The design of the entire resort and even to the small details of the hotel room were unique and beautiful. The rooms faced out towards the ocean with huge sliding doors that allowed you to wake up to a beautiful sight every single day. The beach and the pools were outstanding and the customer service of all the wait staff was good. By the pool, there was even an employee that came around to offer to clean your sunglasses and other miscellaneous things.
The two options we had for breakfast at Barefoot and Citron were great. There was a lot of Asian food selections to be had at Citron in a buffet style. At Barefoot, there was many unique dishes such as foie gras pho and truffle scramble eggs. It also had a beautiful open door view of the beach and ocean.
The stay at the Intercontinental Hotel was one of the best stays I've had on vacation. It was especially highlighted when I went to Singapore a few days later and stayed at the Marina Bay Sands... After staying at the Intercontinental Hotel in Da Nang, every other hotel, including the Marina Bay Sands, did not seem to stand up to the experience we had here.
I would definitely recommend a stay here if you plan to travel Da Nang, it was a lot more breathtaking in person than I had imagined.

When I first reached Intercontinental Danang, the welcome was amazing! They had majestic chairs for you to sit on for photo taking while waiting for check in. You didn't have to think of your luggage the moment they were taken out from the car. The next time you see it, it is in your room.
Something unfortunate happened to me. I misplaced my camera when I was in the room. Apparently it fell on the floor from the bed, so it couldn't be seen. I called the hotel staff to help me to see if it was left at the reception during check in. They were so nice to check the CCTV and the assistant manager Mary Finn even offered to go with me to the room to look for it again. When we went back to the room, the camera was found under the bed. The moment I said I found it, the assistant manager cheered jumping as she was so happy for me. I felt terribly bad for the inconvenienced cause but she just saying, she was so happy for my wife and I.
We went to Hoi An and Danang City and no one speaks English BUT in this hotel, EVERYONE speaks English. On top of that, they think of everything for you. Every exercise machine in the gym has a hand towel and mineral water, there is SPF 30 and 50 sunblock at the swimming pool, they even have power adapters/converters for you just in case you use a different adapter for your devices from another country.
What really impressed me was the cleanliness of the place. It rained on one of the nights and immediately at 8am the next morning, there were people cleaning the streets with brooms to ensure that there are no leaves on the walkway.
On the last day, I ordered breakfast in-room and the they forgot to bring the fruits that comes with the set. I called for them to deliver the fruits, but the next thing I know, the person who brought the fruits told me that the manager decided to waive my breakfast order for that morning. Also, as my flight to Phu Quoc is delayed, and I could not get a late check out despite being a spire member because it was peak season, I once again met the assistant manager Mary at check out. She was so nice to give me free drinks for my wife and I as we chill at one of the restaurants. Also, she told us that they have a lounge in the domestic flight transit area at Danang Airport and she will arrange for drinks for us there while we wait for our flight. OMG!! What amazing service. She is an angel to us.
It is a whole team of people who makes this resort a success. Managers are empowered to make decisions, workers too. I would definitely recommend people to come here to have a taste of what world class hospitality is all about.

Definitely a good trip as we planned for our friend’s birthday last weekend of 27 June, and this was my third time to visited this resort because I admired the designer so much - Bill Bensley.
From a night stayed in Hoi An city we took shuttle to the resort about 45 minutes, The drive to the resort is perfect opportunity for photos and videos. Everything from services, bell attendants, front desk staff to servers at the restaurants they were top notch very attentive and kind. They provide you with cool, refreshing hand towels to freshen up whenever you at the restaurant and welcome drink when arriving.
Upon arrival, the friendly staff is ready to check you in and will hold your bags if you came in on an early flight, I recommend grabbing your beach gear to take advantage of the pools and private beach while you wait!
The rooms are breathtaking, As soon as you walk in, the greeting and some special touches if you are celebrating a special occasion (we had complimentary chilled champagne)! We had a ocean view corner room, my favorite part of the room were the massive balcony. The housekeeping staff did a great job of tidying up and turndown service.
All of the restaurants, a bit pricey, were excellent! Great food and exceptional service. I do recommend enjoy happy hour at Longbar for buy one get one free.
The best part of our stay was definitely the exceptional the service, very friendly and accommodating! We had a great time, will definitely be back.

This resort is set in the beautiful monkey bay. Yes, there are monkeys! With or without the monkeys, this resort is amazing. It has been beautifully designed and incorporated into a stunning jungle like setting on a lovely beach with clean, aqua water. The result is breathtaking!! From the moment you arrive you know you’re someplace special! The staff is ever so kind and attentive wherever you go. Everything seems to be perfectly designed and arranged. Our room was so nice with doors that opened to a balcony with views of the water and the sound of waves, we didn’t really want to explore the rest of the property our first afternoon. The next day, we had breakfast (really good and lots of selection) and then headed out to explore. We walked toward the spa rooms for massages where we began to encounter monkeys. They weren’t trying to get close to us, quite the opposite in fact, but they did not seem overly disturbed by us, either. After that, we went to the beach where they provide towels and a small cooler bag with bottles of water for your beds. They also have bottles of sunscreen located at different stations, along with after sun cream and moisturizer. While we rested on beach we were offered fruit kebabs, juice, sunglasses cleaning, and a cucumber facial. There boards for paddle boarding, which i tried for a few minutes for the first time ever, and other equipment.
We ate at the Barefoot Restaurant, Citron for breakfast and for dinner, and the Long Bar. Our least favorite meal was dinner at Citron, and our favorite was Barefoot by far!! However, breakfast and the Long Bar were great too! I could go on and on, but let me just say this is absolute 5 star service in a 5 star setting.

My family and I are seasoned international travelers who have high expectations and can tell the great from the good. And "great" is only one of the many positive words to describe the service provided by the staff during our stay.
Anyone with money can build a great hotel but not many hotels can train their staff to excel in what they do everyday. The staff here have ownership in what they do, from serving a cup of coffee to putting a fresh towel on a poolside chair to handling young children on the premises. Their service attitude and passion show in their voice and forward-leaning care for guests. It is more than just a job to them.
Also, the food is truly superior, from a local Mì Quảng bowl to a national favorite dish of Bánh Cuốn, to a difficult European style bowl of creamy soup. Not many hotels can deliver such an even-handed high level of culinary quality.
And most significantly, this resort has maintained this standard of excellence in the face of the ravaging COVID 19 pandemic. I wish this review can be shared with our heartfelt appreciation to the staff, the top management and even the hotel owners.
My children will not forget the kind and friendly guidance of Mr. Hưng, Mr. Đông and Mr. Hà, who showed them how to have fun with sand, water and wind.
Our departure is just another way of saying "see you again soon" for this place.

The Intercontinental Da Nang is located on a beautiful stretch of sand beach surrounded by jungle-covered mountains. It is not far from Da Nang, 20 minutes, but the resort is secluded and peaceful.
The best asset of this 5 star hotel is the helpful, friendly staff. Most notably the restaurant staff, who are happy and enthusiastic to discuss the different styles of Vietnamese food.
We loved the beach, with fishing and kayaks available.
Monkeys everywhere, always visiting our balcony, but they were not aggressive- and fun to watch.
We appreciated the hotel staff responding quickly when we had a problem late night with loud, yelling neighbors.
Room recommendations-
Stay as far up the hill, as far from the lobby as possible. Request the top floor.
Avoid this hotel during China holidays, if you want a quiet romantic holiday, or if you are sensitive to loud, yelling people.

This was by far the best accommodations I’ve had in Southeast Asia. The rooms where spacious an immaculate, the view from the Heaven Level where spectacular, the dining was great, and the service was unparalleled.
The Intercontinental reception area at the Da Nang airport was excellent and they took care of our luggage and escorted us to our car. The driver was courteous and professional and he provided us wet towels and cold water. The check in process was easy and staff greeted us by name.
The room itself was excellent and we loved the huge balcony and view.
The dining was good and we particularly enjoyed Ting and Tong at Citron. They provided excellent service.
Perhaps our favorite part of the trip was a guided monkey viewing tour by the in-house Zoologists. Anthony was knowledge and very professional. The very fact that this property takes conservation of its flora and fauna seriously is probably my favorite thing about this resort.

It is impossible to say that the Intercon is anything but aesthetically stunning. Attention to detail is witnessed around every corner, the backdrop of the buildings built seamlessly into the hillside is a marvel and the bay is spotless.
Where the challenge arises is the dichotomy of expectations between sprawling resort tailored for families with acceptable overpriced food and clumsy customer experiences vs a luxury, intimate, exclusive hotel experience. Admittedly, the Intercon does not overtly pitch itself as an intimate / boutique experience per se yet, the hefty price tag per night should warrant an inherent intimacy, well above average food and definitely, a sense of exclusivity.
With unbelievable views, a frequently empty and spotless beach, the Long Bar & the Long Bar Pool plus the staff of both, design aesthetics that are without doubt world class, it is hard to imagine I will never return. Yet, I will be returning with an adjusted set of expectations.

Hey Julie!
During our stay in May we didn‘t see any mosquitoes! But maybe it‘s a question of the season…
Going down to the beach is very easy! You can take the cable railway (easy and fast) or call a buggy! We even took the stairs once because we wanted to experience the nature:-)
There are some great restaurants within the hotel (Vietnamese, French and Seafood/Meat), but if you want to go somewhere else or to Danang you have to take a taxi (20-30min) The hotel is in the middle of the jungle - very private and secluded. So, going somewhere else by foot is not possible.
They do enter the room if you leave the doors open, however they don’t bother you if you don’t put food out, they just pass by.
Kids club is free.
All the programs in the kids club are free, too.^^
Thank you for all your answers
