This was our first stay at this hotel, recommended by friends of ours. Arriving "latish" after a long journey the initial wow factor on entering this 5* hotel was very impressive. Check in was welcoming and efficient by a trainee receptionist who, with our keys,...More

We are avid followers of the sensatori brand so start with a positive bias.
This Meliá hotel has 600 rooms but only 200 are “sensatori”. This distinguishes it from the others.

Very memorable and enjoyable experience staying in Red Level zone of the hotel. Impressive huge pool with sea water. Beautiful gardens. Refine taste in decor and design. Very comfortable large bed. Would like to come back soon.

Me and my partner recently stayed here and we did download an app which was fantastic !! Told us all available activities on each day and the times they were scheduled for ! Sorry can’t say if they showed any restaurant information as we always chose the buffet option for our meals as so much choice !
Hope this helps!

If you've stayed at Gran Melia on many occasions you'll know how perfect it is for families Edward. We have been as a party of 16, ages ranging from 3 to 68 and have had a wonderful holiday, so much so we are going back again in April and we will be 17 after an addition to the family! I would not bother with red level for the family - I personally do not think it is worth it. They will just enjoy the experience of being there and of course a day out at Siam park, I strongly advise you book your tickets for before you go otherwise most of your time is spent queueing. Have a great holiday!

We are a couple in our 60's so no children with us. We travelled on an RCI exchange which gave us accommodation only. The room was luxurious, with a sea view and we found all the staff friendly and helpful. The housekeeping service was good too. The large seawater infinity pool was unheated, but not cold in May, but the adult's pool and families pool were heated. The indoor pool that someone mentioned above is the Clarins Spa which is an additional cost I think. It looked as if children were very well catered for with a children's club and evening entertainment. We did not book the half or full board option and went out for most of our meals in nearby Alcala, which had a selection of restaurants to suit us. We only like a lght breakfast so bought our own coffee and croissants to have breakfast in our room. There is a bus stop close to the hotel which we used a lot to travel around to other areas. We wondered exactly what the benefits of Red Level were other than being allocated various areas and an exclusive lounge, with child care. To be fair we didn't try to find out! There are play areas on the promenade just outside the hotel and a nice little beach with black sand, maintained by the hotel just along the prom. We would love to return.
