Only stayed for one night but very comfortable and accommodating. Short drive to the Mount for dinner, shopping centre and beach close by, good parking. Powerful shower gets an extra star! Will stay here next time down this way.
Central Mount/Papamoa in an area short on good quality accommodation....warm, clean, nice staff and really comfy beds. Good showers. Kitchen a wee bit short on gear....beds for 6 but only 4 coffee cups and 3 wine glasses.
What a delight this motel is. The welcome from Rochelle was friendly and helpful. I had forgotton to mention my disability, so she changed our room to a larger ground floor unit at no extra cost. The room was very comfortable and we were refreshed for the day ahead. We would stay there again.
This property is in a great location for beach access. The road was busier than expected and the apartment did not have great noise barriers. Also there isn't air conditioning so to keep cool at night it would be ideal to keep windows open but the road noise would be challenging for sleep. Our apartment was one of those that is nearest to the road so this may be different in one of the rear apartments. The apartment could comfortably accommodate our 2 adults in 1 room, 2 kids in another, and a child in a bed in the lounge (not a pull out, a stationary single). There was also an additional single been in the master bedroom. There was a full kitchen with lots of provision (everything you need really) and a BBQ. The unit was tidy. The curtains were quite dated and quite transparent. It was difficult to get the kids to bed as it was summer and the curtains let a lot of light in. They had beach toys that the kids could borrow and the beach was lovely. This is not within walking distance to the Mt Maunganui centre or main beach. The beach was calmer than the Mt Maungani beach and great for kids, beautiful sand and water. The staff were amazing and super helpful.…
It was supposed to be just a one nighter but we loved the apartment and location so stayed an extra night. Easy access to the beach and shops. Very friendly and helpful management. Both bedrooms had an ensuite. It is starting to look a bit tired with patches of threadbare carpet. The shower glass needed a good clean as it had a soap buildup.
We stayed for 10 nights in the Penthouse Apartment. We found it to be well suited for our needs. We were at the tail end of 2 months exploring New Zealand and it was great to be in one spot for that long after moving every 2 or 3 days for the most part. The kitchen was well equipped for our needs, we generally ate out for one meal everyday, but would have light breakfast or lunch in the apartment. We did make use of the BBQ on the balcony. The bed was comfortable, and with windows on all sides, lovely breezes kept the room cool. The view from the room and balcony is lovely, and only a 2 minute walk to the beach. There is a large mall, Bayfair, not too far away that has a Countdown grocery store. The room is a bit crowded with furniture, only 2 of us but there were also 2 single beds in addition to the king bed. The room is a bit dated, generally quiet in the evenings, though under a flight path to the airport which only seemed bothersome a couple of early mornings.…
An overnight stay in the Suite Six Homestay apartment (bedroom and ensuite), and it had all we needed for that. A very comfortable king-size bed, and a nice table and chairs on the deck. We wondered about traffic noise, something we are not used to, but didn't really notice it during the night, only after 7.30am. Also under the flight path to the airport, but not a lot of planes. It is very handy to Bayfair for shopping, and the beach is only a short walk away. Good tea and coffee making facilities with a coffee percolator and a small bottle of milk, thank goodness no little milk pottles. Opted not to have the continental breakfast as handy to Bayfair for a cooked breakfast.
We loved our stay at the Boatshed. There were three of us and the two-bedroom apartment was perfect for us. The owners had thought of everything and the apartment had everything we could need. I let my two colleagues take the bedrooms and I reluctantly took the single bed in the lounge... it was honestly the most comfortable single bed I have ever slept in! It was just so cosy, with four blankets/duvets and good linen. I slept like a log. All beds also had electric blankets for extra comfort. Also a great location, close to Bayfair and the beach. Would be great for a family.
Had the nicest weekend staying at the boatshed apartments. Had plenty of room and meet all our needs. I would highly recommend this place and cant wait to stay again. The Boatshed manager was lovely and always available when needed.
We stayed for two nights for a girls weekend away. What more can I say than fabulous. The apartment was fantastic. Clean, spacious, well equipped and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend.
